Red Mombin, and thousands of banana plants. Fishing can be great, wildlife and bird watching too. Fenced and gated for safety, this old historic nursery property has good vibes and plenty to offer. Until you see it - you really may not understand. Parts of property are wide open, other areas are rugged and difficult to walk through including some wetland areas. The nursery has plenty of trees, and some fields -the large pond is surrounded by cattails and marsh/wetlands and has fish (Bass, Tilapia, Sunfish, Catfish). Most people come to stay either in our rental cottage or in their horse trailers/RVs with their horses to ride the awesome trails in the 20,000+ acre adjacent Croom Forest. However, because our ranch is so peaceful, many stay here without horses just to enjoy the peace and quiet. There are many opportunities to recreate in the area, including outstanding mountain and road biking, OHVing, hiking, golfing, and canoeing/kayaking. Many full-time and working RVers stay for extended periods. Note that our camping area is small and intimate, so you will be close to other campers. We have 5 30-amp hookups, and 2 50-amp hookups; if you need 50-amp service, please request it. Note that a minimum of a 2-night stay will typically be required on weekends, especially during our busy season. WiFi is available, but we call it "Country WiFi" since it sometimes can be slow and may or may not be accessible from where you are parked; also, Verizon cell service in our area is terrible. If internet access is important to you, we suggest having your own hotspot or internet service (many working RVers have Starlink). First time tent camping here and I loved it! Location was easy to find, site was clean and beautiful pond nearby. Also the owner the next day came by and introduced himself which was very nice. Will camp again!

6 nights at T.L.C.'S GYPSY HAVEN

Gave us a place when nowhere else in the area was available. The minor electrical issues we had (not really the fault of the owner) were quickly resolved. Great atmosphere. The owner was communicative, and always made sure someone was on hand.

Mango Tango is a great place to stay. This is where we camp when visiting family in the area. Love the full hook-up on Pineapple Lane. Private and peaceful. Great alternative to the large crowded campgrounds nearby. This was our second time there and we will definitely be returning. Matthew is a great host and communicates well.

The campgrounds are gorgeous and the roaming cattle are magical. The staff was lovely! Everyone was friendly and helpful. I would not stay in the Oakwood forest again. I would stay in another area for three reasons: 1) the site is too far from the bathrooms 2) a train comes by and shakes the ground, in addition to being extremely loud. 3) there was construction going on and that was just off putting. They need more bathrooms. There are five bathroom/showers and for the amount of people that camp on a busy weekend — it is not nearly enough. We will return and stay in a different area. We absolutely loved the rest of the experience.

Pleasant stay. Close to town, but still feels remote. Spot 7 was fine for a smaller camper, but if I did it again, I would choose spot 8 ( bit more room). The pond was beautiful, but difficult to see from all the growth. The location is near the interstate, but the traffic noise was surprisingly minimal. If you like old time florida citrus farms, this is your spot.

It’s a GREAT little get away spot without the hassle of trying to find an open camp sight at one of the bigger state parks. The owners are very responsive and very personable. Would 10/10 recommend for anyone looking for a way to get away from their everyday drama.

This spot was great! It was tucked back into a country setting while still being minutes from anything we needed. We saw deer at night. There were cows and chickens on the drive to his property. Bobby was very nice and super responsive with communications. We stayed for several nights. It was quiet and peaceful.

Weekend Trip to Myrtle Oaks

Otter Cove is a great place for a weekend get away. Easy to find and fairly secluded. Short dirt road leading in. The spot is on the back end of a large clearing with big oaks surounding and drop off on two sides. The site has a good mix of shade and sun. We were the only ones their and had complete privacy. You can hear some traffic, but its pretty far off. We would stay here again.
