Trina’s property is gorgeous! She was also very nice and welcoming. My family had a wonderful 3 nights there! My children enjoyed the chickens, Muppet and Diabla. They also enjoyed visiting the baby chicks. They said that was their favorite part. It’s very spacious and we could set up our badmitton/volleyball net. We got to meet other great campers and our kids had a lot of fun. They were worn out by 8 every night and slept for 12 hours. They were able to run around and explore the land, they thoroughly enjoyed the pond swing. Mom and dad loved that they could run around and disappear for hours safely. We really love the outdoor shower, the most magical shower I’ve ever had and now I want one lol. Loved that there was a bathroom and outdoor kitchen so we could wash our cooking gear and didn’t have to pack up dirty dishes. It was amazing and really felt like we were out in the woods. We will definitely be coming back and maybe bringing some friends!

The place was very nicely situated, the campsite was spacious, private, with a fire pit, chairs and a picnic table. Even had an electrical cord to charge up my bluetti. With that said, the bathrooms are a bit of a walk thru the darkness , while lit … for this northerner who’s seen many signs about bears, panthers, poisoned snakes and spiders … it was a bit nerve racking for me, but that’s just me perhaps. Overall a pleasant place, where I slept well.

What a nice cozy RV Resort to stop over for a few nights on our road trip. The staff were kind and helpful with a mixup with my reservation. The resort was landscaped nicely with palms and grass (unlike some places we have stayed that are giant parking lots). The pool was nice and clean and laundry was available. Would definitely stay here again :)

We tent camped at the hideaway, perfect spot, heard some animas from the neighbors next door (camels, donkeys, birds) totally worth it. The boat ride JJ gave use was awesome, we saw several gators. The views can only be experienced in person, pictures won’t do you justice. Highly recommend J&P Creekside Retreat, the hosts (John, Patty, and JJ) were like family and were there for anything you needed. Town was about 10 minutes away for any extras you might need to pick up, otherwise the showers were warm and the bathroom was clean. 10/10

I should have stayed longer... and I will be back for a hill Billy hot tub and to see the field of dreams that this woman will be bringing into existence through her dream for her property. Your a lucky lady being able to star gaze here every night.. Bowsir & I had an amazing time, welcoming and friendly. Clean and a good vibez enviroment. Awesome kitchen area thanks to her property manager ... and... the shower is MAGICAL, ENCHANTING & INSPIRING.. it is outdoor with the tree moss hanging, palm trees in site and vines wrapping the fence with privacy.. and really good smelling body wash to leave you with a fresh next adventure smell. Thank you for your hospitality and as i left to turn on the road i thought to myself, okay, what time will i be back and truly felt when I left I made a new distant friend at your enchanting pond. Till next time..

The kids got to run and play and we got to try some fresh passion fruit. There was also a cute little outdoor kitchen area with basic equipment that helped us on our stay. The site was clean and we had a pleasant night.

What a cozy stay! The campsites are nestled in a grassy glade close to trees and a pond. The composting outhouse is both clean and tidy while the outdoor shower is hot water and spacious. I appreciated the small covered community kitchen with a fridge and use of utensils. The camp is 10 mins outside of LaBelle which has great local coffee and eateries. Trina is a warm and welcoming host who is interested in creating a welcoming community for her guests. The vibe leans more hostel than camp, and for that reason, I would visit again if in the area.

My husband and I had a really special week at flitterbug farm 🦋 we did a meditation style retreat and the space was just perfect for it. The outhouse compost toilet was clean and well managed, showers under the majestic oak trees were comfortable and beautiful, the outdoor kitchen had all that we needed. The pond with gorgeous Spanish moss was our little center for stillness. The nights were calm and not noisy as other campers had mentioned. Occasional roosters or dogs were heard but it was not disturbing or excessive. Trina holds a very warm and welcoming presence. She’s available for suggestions and chats while also respecting space and keeping busy so it was all around a perfect balance for us. We also left daily for nature walks in beautiful preserves within 30 minutes of our site. Lovely! The land itself was a bit smaller than we anticipated but it was enough :) Highly recommend this space if you are considering it 🤍

My camping experience was positive. I was greeted warmly by the host and made to feel at home. What I appreciated most was the outdoor hot shower and outdoor, covered community kitchen. It included use of a fridge, pots, pans, utensils, and a hotplate. The trees and pond are charming, and the camping space is clean and grassy as pictured. The toilet is an outdoor composting set up, but kept clean and tidy. Labelle, FL is just a 10 min drive, and offers some really fantastic coffee shops and local eateries. There is also a Walmart and several gas stations to supply up if need be. Yes, there is farm (animal) noise to contend with, but it was not a deal breaker. The vibe of the space is more hostel than campground, and the host really is intent on creating community among the guests. I look forward to visiting in the future and can’t wait to see how they further develop the farm and camping experience.

Weekend Trip to Blue Fox Ranch: Lake & Farm Camp

We just spent an amazing weekend at Blue Fox Ranch Lake Farm with our kids .The farm is beautiful, peaceful, and feels truly family friendly. Luiz is a wonderful host and you can tell he puts a lot of love into this place. The kids had the time of their lives playing with the horses and other farm animals. Evenings by the campfire were a highlight for all of us and stargazing in the quiet country air. We also went fishing on the lake and actually caught a few fish, which was super exciting. On top of that, we bought fresh eggs from Luiz and they were absolutely delicious, such a treat compared to store bought. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway where your children can experience nature, animals, and real farm life, this is the perfect spot. We felt safe, welcomed, and completely recharged after our stay. Highly recommend visiting Luiz and spending a few nights at this special campsite.

This was our first time here and this review is just for the Hideaway. We rented both the Hideaway and Shady Oak for four families, but I’ll review Shady Oak separately. The Hideaway completely exceeded my expectations. We camp often in Florida and the biggest issue at most campgrounds is noise. There are just so many campers and not everyone respects quiet hours. This place was the total opposite. It’s private property with only four spots and they are very spread out. I have never experienced that level of peace and quiet while camping. We slept so good, even during a cold snap when it dropped to 29 degrees. The trees helped block the wind and made it feel cozy. The site is tucked into trees with a short walk to the creek. We had three tents and a campfire with plenty of space. The owner was super friendly and responsive. Buy the firewood there. It’s a great deal and so convenient. The amenities were amazing. The kids loved the trampoline and the silks hanging from the trees. The main area behind the house has lots of inviting seating. Even though all sites were booked, we never saw other campers. The bathroom has a private outdoor entrance with a flushing toilet and sink. It was always clean and stocked with quality toilet paper, paper towels, and air freshener. The fenced outdoor shower had very hot water. The guys caught bass in the creek and the dogs roamed freely and were friendly. We didn’t take any pictures because we were too busy having fun!

This was our first time here and this review is just for the Shady Oak. We rented both the Hideaway and Shady Oak for four families, but I’ll do a separate review for the Hideaway. Shady Oak was amazing. My friends set up their RV here, but honestly, I’d be happy camping with a tent too. It’s tucked among palmettos with big oak trees that give great shade. It’s not right by the creek like the Hideaway, but the creek and bathroom are just a short walk away. The bathroom has its own outdoor entrance with a flushing toilet and sink, and it’s always clean and stocked with quality toilet paper, paper towels, and air freshener. The site is super spacious and has a larger picnic table, which made it perfect for our group. Like the rest of the property, it’s well maintained with a really inviting main area behind the house—lots of seating, a trampoline, and silks hanging from the trees. Even though all the sites were booked, they’re spread out so much that you barely see other campers, making it peaceful and quiet. Dogs can roam off-leash and the owner’s dog is friendly and barely bothers anyone. Shady Oak has a totally different vibe from the Hideaway, but I loved it just as much. If we come back, I’d be happy staying at either spot. Both are fantastic and perfect if you want a private, relaxing camping experience. They sell firewood at such a good deal, I wouldn't even bring your own. Buy it from them.
