7 nights at Smokey Acres

My GF and I had been looking for a cabin to stay at and found this lovely location. There are plenty of locations to go biking and kayaking as well. The only issues we found was that the shower would be either really hot or really cold so you had to play with it to shower well. Other than that great experience.

1 night at Find Out Farms

Brian has a piece of heaven and offers it to anyone that wants to enjoy tranquil nature with beautiful views. I am definitely coming back again to spend more time enjoying the simpler life and peace and quiet that surrounds his place. There are cattle nearby and you can hear them mooing along with other animals and birds in the woods. If you’re looking for rustic tranquility this is definitely a great spot for it. Lady is Brian’s dog and she was such a loving animal, she played and played with our dog Becky for what seemed like an hour but actually was maybe 30 minutes :). I’ve been to several places where I would not recommend because of one thing or another but this place was so easy and felt safe I got probably the best rest I’ve had in years. All our thoughts and troubles went away as we enjoyed the sounds of nature knowing that Brian was there if we needed anything. Two thumbs up 👍 👍. We all need to have a special “go to place “ to get away and this definitely clicks all the boxes for us. May God bless Brian and keep his place open for us to enjoy for many years to come.

Weekend Trip to Shannon Trails bring your horses

Canopy over picnic table and an outdoor sofa made our trip so easy when the weather went ugly. There was a big grill and a lot of woods for cooking or just making fire. Bathroom was next to the camping site. Dish soap and sponge were there for us to clean our cooking utensils. Hot water shower is consistent, and good pressure.

I loved camping here! We booked this for Mother’s Day and it was so peaceful and made for a good experience. The nature trail and lake was enjoyable and Hillary was so helpful when I had some questions . Definitely 10/10 recommend!

We only spent one night. It was quiet, peaceful & lovely by the pond. We enjoyed the trail walk with our dog & left the following morning to continue our journey feeling refreshed & relaxed. The bathroom is primitive but our camper is self contained so no problem. Good location & easier to find than I thought it might be - good directions were provided.

4 nights at Big Oaks Dog And Horse Camping

We loved camping at Jessica's farm. We parked under a large beautiful oak tree. Jessica quickly responded to a couple questions that we had. Nice quiet site. Short commute to the towns of Bronson or Williston. Keep your eyes open, you may be greeted by the cutest pot bellied pig who loves scratches when you are using the dump station.

Weekend Trip to Boulevard Landing

We stayed here for 4 nights and enjoyed the easy access to everything. Port richey had local parks where we enjoyed sunset paddle boarding and a good coffee shop nearby in the historic downtown area. We even drove down to Venice beach from here. Solid spot 👍

Weekend Trip to Lucky U Ranch

What a cool little farm! Rob & Mike have an awesome setup on their farm - from the private camp sites to the outdoor shower/bathroom setup they’ve thought of all the small details. Although I was only here for a day, I’d definitely come back for longer next time I’m back in the area. For a first time Hip-Camper they’ve set the bar for what a stay should be. Hands down better than camping on top of others at an RV park or even some cramped state/national parks. Highly recommend!

My husband, 2y/o son and our s dog absolutely loved tent camping on Sarah’s land. The old Florida wilderness right at our fingertips was exactly what we needed to escape the city for a couple nights. The swimming hole was like from a fairy tale, stunning and serene. We are already talking about when we can come back ! Thank you again for hosting us.

Very quiet campground with nice little walking loop. Currently upgrading bathrooms and shower house but the one that was open was very clean. No picnic table but we made due with tailgate for outside cooking. Nice relaxing weekend.

3 nights at Lucky U Ranch

This was my second trip here with my granddaughter this year. We absolutely love it here. We just love the idea of camping with free roaming horses and donkeys. My granddaughter spends most of the day walking around with them and feeding them apples and carrots. We also really enjoyed hiking the trails. We love taking the tour of the ranch to see all the other animals and hold the baby goats. The campsites and the property have always been well maintained and beautiful. The bathrooms and showers are always clean and you always have hot water. The whole experience that Lucky U provides is simply amazing! The hosts Rob and Mike are the best! They have a genuine love for their animals, property, and people. They provide awesome service and are very accommodating. We are already planning another trip for the summer!

Rob and Mike have a jewel in the crown. Their place is well thought out and the bonus of the horses and donkeys having breakfast with us was wonderful! The showers and coffee bar (an added bonus) are spotless. We will be back again.

It was a cute little setup! AC worked well and neighbors were nice. Only thing is we had to kill some brown widow spiders that were on the porch and close to the chairs under the table. I also paid for two bundles of firewood and never got them.

7 nights at Lucky U Ranch

We can’t express enough how lovely this ranch is , a beautiful area to camp with hot showers , and some of the best landscapes to wake up too. Rob & Mike are such pleasant people and made sure we were all set and happy through the stay. We also loved that they offer a weekly ranch tour and show you all the animals and even baby goats ! Probably one of the best “campgrounds” I have stayed at yet. We don’t even consider this a campground because there’s so much space between camps it’s truly such a peaceful space to spend time away. All of the springs , beaches and places to explore are within an hour to hour and a half including a 5 minute drive to the local river boat launch. My only advice to anyone staying is a little bug spray and keep your camps tidy and it’s truly a 10/10 place to stay. We are already planning our trip back to magnolia hill and can’t wait to see Rob & Mike again. If you’re thinking about a stay here , go ahead and book it you truly won’t be disappointed.

This is a parking area for two RVs or campers. Each space is approximately 15ft x 40ft, a 33ft plus pull behinds will need expert driver to back in. The electrical hookup is 50 amp. If you have 30 amp, you will need to bring your own adapter. The area is under two large Oak trees giving plenty of shade. Electric and Water hook up is available. NO DUMP STATION! Extra parking for one vehicle only. Basically this is a large parking area for the home. However the home has a separate drive and garage parking so we rent this space for RVs and Campers. Our RV Campsites are located in a grassy field next to dense woods. Electric and water hookups are included in the RV/Camper sites, but not the Tent Site. All sites have a picnic table and fire ring. Our newly renovated restrooms on the property have toilets and one shower. A boardwalk takes you along the Cotee River to our open air pavilions with several places to sit and enjoy nature. Cell phone service is not a problem, as we are not that remote (although it sort of feels like we are when you are here) - we are 5 min from downtown New Port Richey, 2 minutes from groceries, gas, restaurants. This beautiful slice of Old Florida is named for the Pithlachascotee River that bends along the back side of the property. Pithlo is the Creek word meaning canoe, and chaskita means to dig or chop out, together signifying "place where canoes are chopped or dug out". Seminoles of this area used canoes dug out from the great cypress trees found along Florida rivers. From the 1980s until 2014, this property was owned by the Cotee River Lions Club. They held a popular monthly pancake breakfast fundraiser in the large pavilion along the river. We purchased this 4.9 acres of land in late 2019. It is now where we live and have a woodworking shop. It has been a magical place for us, with no shortage of wildlife, rich jungle forest, a lazy winding narrow river, and even the occasion river otter sighting. We are grateful to all the humans who have occupied this place over the centuries before us for keeping it as nature intended it. It is our intention to do our part to conserve and protect its natural beauty as long as possible. We hope you find it to be as restful and rejuvenating as we do.

5645 Bay Boulevard is 2 blocks off US 19 in Port Richey Florida. The property is 1 mile east of the Gulf Of Mexico. There are 5 restaurants on the water that are a short ride bicycle, golf cart or 1 wheel ride away. One is a Hooters. Within 2 blocks is a Dunkin Donuts, Culvers and Hardees. Walmart is accessible without driving on 19. If you need fuel there is a WaWa and Walmart station. The Veteran's Expressway is a short drive east which makes a drive to the Tampa Fairgrounds less than 1 hour. We have a 50 amp covered full hook up spot, a 50 amp with water spot and 6 plus boondocking spots. We have a place to dump and refill the water tank. We aren't fancy, just very convenient.
