Approximately 33 private acres allows for plenty of space between our campsites.
Property is home to a farm with hundreds of fruit trees- Lychee, Mango, Starfruit, Papaya, Guava). Red Mombin, and thousands of banana plants.
Fishing can be great, wildlife and bird watching too.
Fenced and gated for safety, this old historic nursery property has good vibes and plenty to offer. Until you see it - you really may not understand.
Parts of property are wide open, other areas are rugged and difficult to walk through including some wetland areas.

Our property is 15 minutes South, from I75, 10 minutes from any restaurant or publix. We are a 2 mile drive down a dirt road, through the state forest. We offer 2-3 acres of a choose your own spot camping area. Located within the Picayune Strand State Forest, full of peace and quiet, and plenty of birds. We have a facility building that runs off a generator for running water. With that, we have a washroom, that consists of a large shower, and 2 bathroom stalls. we have then propane heated hot water for a nice hot shower. The sites are very " free range". Nothing that is too designated, so you have a free choice of where to pitch your tent, or park your camper van, or your RV.
Come and stay within the Evergaldes in Naples, of SWFL. A special private place like no other. You may have the place all to yourself, or share with others. It is not populated like other campgrounds.
The property is a designated farm, and we do have chickens.

About the Island:
Ever wonder what it would be like to stay on a deserted island? This is truly an adventure you will never forget. Once you land in paradise you will wander thru the looping trail system to find your campsite. There are (5) campsites with elevated tent platforms tucked back in the trees. Once you are settled in, it is time to gather wood and build a fire in one of the (2) 8 foot wide, 2 ton concrete fire pits.
Awake a dawn with a nice kayak/canoe trip on a secluded water trail thru mangrove islands and stop for lunch at River's Edge Bar and Grill across the river from the island. Having too much fun, take a nap in hammock and rock to breeze and sounds of river.
This is an island is accessible via water only so there is some preparation to get here and stay here. Kayaks, Canoes and a shuttle are available if you don't have your own transportation.
Please contact prior to booking to ensure you understand the packages, for example, if you want to rent the whole island for yourself and need transportation for your group. We offer tailored quote for package based on your needs.

After 6 years of my neighbor bugging me to buy this island, I finally took him up on it. My neighbor bought it in the 1970's but did little with it.
It has been overgrown for years. I am actively work to develop multiple campsites of the island for enjoyment of the river and its surrounding. All money from your stay here is re-invested back into the property.

There is even a sugarcane maze and bamboo gardens in progress for the kids and adults to enjoy. But don’t forget your veggies! Get up close and personal with where some of your medicines and vegetables come from. We have some small areas for education about different medicinal plants like Turmeric, ginger, saw palmetto and a few others. Take the tours or classes or just sit back and enjoy the view! Our property is 15 minutes South, from I75, 10 minutes from any restaurant or publix. We are a 2 mile drive down a dirt road, through the state forest. We offer 2-3 acres of a choose your own spot camping area. Located within the Picayune Strand State Forest, full of peace and quiet, and plenty of birds. We have a facility building that runs off a generator for running water. With that, we have a washroom, that consists of a large shower, and 2 bathroom stalls. we have then propane heated hot water for a nice hot shower. The sites are very " free range". Nothing that is too designated, so you have a free choice of where to pitch your tent, or park your camper van, or your RV.
Come and stay within the Evergaldes in Naples, of SWFL. A special private place like no other. You may have the place all to yourself, or share with others. It is not populated like other campgrounds.
The property is a designated farm, and we do have chickens.

About the Island:
Ever wonder what it would be like to stay on a deserted island? This is truly an adventure you will never forget. Once you land in paradise you will wander thru the looping trail system to find your campsite. There are (5) campsites with elevated tent platforms tucked back in the trees. Once you are settled in, it is time to gather wood and build a fire in one of the (2) 8 foot wide, 2 ton concrete fire pits.
Awake a dawn with a nice kayak/canoe trip on a secluded water trail thru mangrove islands and stop for lunch at River's Edge Bar and Grill across the river from the island. Having too much fun, take a nap in hammock and rock to breeze and sounds of river.
This is an island is accessible via water only so there is some preparation to get here and stay here. Kayaks, Canoes and a shuttle are available if you don't have your own transportation.
Please contact prior to booking to ensure you understand the packages, for example, if you want to rent the whole island for yourself and need transportation for your group. We offer tailored quote for package based on your needs.
Our Story:
After 6 years of my neighbor bugging me to buy this island, I finally took him up on it. My neighbor bought it in the 1970's but did little with it.
It has been overgrown for years. I am actively work to develop multiple campsites of the island for enjoyment of the river and its surrounding. All money from your stay here is re-invested back into the property.

We had a good time staying at J & P Creekside retreat. The property is lovely and beautiful. The kids loved the trampoline and many swings and hammocks. We couldn't go on the water because of the cold, about 40 to 50°F, but we loved sitting by the water and watching the wildlife. Our ac/heater unit was too big for the cord so we had to bundle up a bit more overnight. John, the host, was super kind in offering us blankets to keep warm. Overall, the trip was wonderful despite a late cold front! We wish we could have stayed longer. This one is a gem!

What a warm and wonderful family to share this experience with. Mandy and Beau welcomed us so genuinely that we honestly forgot we were Hipcampers — it felt like staying with longtime friends. The location is a perfect blend of upscale, peaceful neighborhoods and unbeatable access to the area’s best beaches: Anna Maria, Cortez, Coquina, Holmes, and Bradenton Beach are all just minutes away, with easy walks to the shoreline and nearby fishing piers. The calm, clear water and soft white sand make it ideal for families with kids.
Within just a few miles you’ll find a golf country club, a sports complex, and a full shopping area with Publix and Target. And truly, you don’t need to bring a thing — the RV is spotless, thoughtfully organized, fully stocked with EVERYTHING, and spacious enough for the whole family.

We loved our stay in the A frame. The setting is beautiful and private and we really appreciated the thoughtful touches such as the ice machine, fairy lights and relaxing hammocks. Also the large bed was so comfortable, we slept really well. We had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend John's place.

Seriously a beautiful site with an amazing host who made sure we were taken care of. The site was beautiful and quiet and there was a dock go enjoy. Land to explore. Close to the town if needed. Will be back to enjoy the land more. Went to a festival and camped so didn't get to enjoy the site as much as we wanted, so we're gonna make a separate trip for that! He truly is a wonderful soul!

Brittany's place was beautiful and the perfect place for me to stay in my camper while in Fort Myers. It is conveniently located within a few minutes of I-75, but far enough from the to not be disturbed by highway noise. I love that North Fort Myers still has so much natural beauty to it. I had an easy drive into Fort Myers but enjoyed being able to camp in a beautiful, quiet place.

We loved the cabin and our second stay here. Out of both cabins I really enjoyed the smaller one. It felt very comfortable and we had an all night rain storm. It felt very secure and dry. I can't remember hearing the rain all night long. It was a great start to our spring break. Our neighbors kept the campfire going all weekend. It was a fun trip.
