Great open land with nice clusters of trees for cooling shade. Owner does an excellent job in providing a bin of some essentials along with a very detailed and organized binder that explains everything you need to know to ensure the best experience possible. All the rules are clear so there’s little left but to relax and enjoy the property. They provide all kinds of add ons including access to a very nice gym. Restrooms and showers were some of the nicest hip camp amenities Ive seen, all cooled by brand new air-conditioners. Cold and hot filtered bottle water is provided to refill your camp supply. We saw several gopher turtles and the bird watching was incredible with 11 different varieties in one evening. We would definitely go back and visit again.

Weekend Trip to Quail Run Ranch

A beautiful property in some piney, scrub habitat. The campsite was quiet at night and very close to Shell Mound. The view of the sky was great! The only downside were the unrelenting No-see-ums in the evening hours.

Weekend Trip to Shannon Trails bring your horses

Anne’s place was absolutely perfect! Restaurants, kayak launch, and rainbow Springs all only a few short minutes away! Anne’s outdoor rustic kitchen was stocked with everything you could ever need. And her outdoor bathroom/shower was AWESOME! So much better and cleaner than any state park bathroom facilities we’ve visited. Anne was such a pleasure to have awesome conversations with and she is more than accommodating and so friendly! We will absolutely return. I give her little Country Oasis a 10 out of 10!

Coleen’s farm was the perfect place for my son and I to stay for a couple nights while exploring crystal river and the areas beaches. We loved being greeted by her dogs and cats and seeing the horses. Thanks for a great place to camp!

Weekend Trip to Artists Nature Retreat

My experience on this property was really fantastic. I was looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of a much bigger city and Lynn and David’s place was absolutely perfect. I felt incredibly safe and was certainly delighted by the hosts’ thoughtfulness and also the beautiful piece of property I got to stay on. I especially appreciated the path around their little farm. I hope to be a return guest one day.

Weekend Trip to Caceres Organic Blueberry Farms

Camping here was so peaceful. We were the only ones around, and it was nice and quiet. Although there is a road fairly nearby, the traffic sounds more like white noise than anything. We got to tour the blueberry bushes and turmeric roots. We were right by a gorgeous basin of water nice and cold for swimming. The porta potty was clean, there was rain water for doing dishes, and drinking water closer to the house. The showers were HOT hot and never ran out, plus had a great view of the property. I recommend buying some turmeric powder from Richard, it’s the freshest turmeric I’ve ever tasted. We will be coming back to volunteer! Highly recommend.

3 nights at Happy Campers Rescue Ranch

Good experience for a rustic camp spot. Arcadio's land is quite and the camp spots in the back were secluded enough but still close to the house if we needed anything. Arcadio is very friendly and helpful. If you're looking for an inexpensive place to camp for a few days, and don't mind "roughing it", then give it a try! Oh...also the location worked for us to go to Rainbow Springs (15 mins) and Crystal River (30).

1 night at 3 R’s Ranch

Rhonda and Kenny's land is a beautiful place out in the country down a dirt road. I was hurtfully grateful for Kenny's introduction and he had a nice conversation with me for about 30 minutes about a wide variety of topics very pleasant people. Surprisingly they had facilities with a bathroom and a shower very nice. I would happily camp there again.

2 nights at Manatee Landing Retreat

This is a charming spot complete with all the amenities to enjoy the river. Having use of the kayaks, fire pit and bbq made it feel like home and interacting with the other guests made it even better. Would stay here again. If your vehicle is wide or you are not super confident backing up this space may be intimidating and it is difficult to use the dump so we chose not to at this spot. If you have a van or smaller camper there should be no problem.

What a gem! This place is a water, nature and plant lovers paradise! Launching your kayak (or there a LOTS to borrow) from the property takes it to an entire new level. The fire pit, tiki hut and grounds are great! Will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Weeki Watchee! PS - I saw manatee, dolphins, turtles, every bird imaginable when I was there in early April. The trick to be out of the crowds is go up ABOVE Rogers park toward Mud River. I’ve done all of Weeki many times and this was by far my favorite!

On the weekends- Food, music and good time at the lodge/biker bar lol..Pure country living with full hook ups in a great place. . RV Living at the best 👌 👍 😍 🥰by the way these pictures are us walking through this amazing place that Frank did a lot of the work.. Biker bar, delicious food cooked by another biker to music to quiet times during the week. Never have we met such nice folks, old hippies having a blast.. Frank is a great host and Hewy helping & answering every question I had and I had plenty lol..Very unique experience.. we love it

It is a private organic farm owned by a Homeopathic / Naturopathic doctor and biochemist who is a nature lover, lives there and enjoys sharing the peace and tranquility with others. Monarch Manor Farm is also an official Monarch Butterfly weigh station and safe respite for migrating butterflies. These beautiful pollinators have been on Earth about 175 million years from what we can gather from fossils. Beyond the splendor that would be lost from the world if monarch butterflies went extinct, there would be ripple effects in the environment. Monarchs share their habitat with many other species of insects and birds. The birds would lose a food source, and their decline is the proverbial “canary in the coal mine” for other pollinators. If other pollinators decline like monarchs, it could have impacts on the food that humans rely on. This year (2024) we hope to finally get the Monarch Butterfly put on the endangered species list and see them rebound in numbers. So when you stay here you are also making a contribution that provides a safe chemical free environment for these super pollinators to multiply once again. Deer are often seen on our property around dusk and dawn and sometimes the adjoining property has cows. We have a nice communal area with a fire-pit, chairs, hammock, picnic table and horseshoes. We also have corn hole and giant connect four on request. There are lots of places nearby to bike, swim, kayak, boat, fish, snorkel, hike, or just explore. We are only 20 minutes away from Manatee Springs; 25 minutes to Fanning Springs; 30 minutes to Otter Springs and Hart Springs; and about an hour from Ginnie Springs and Ichetucknee Springs. Homosassa is only an hour away where you can enjoy the Manatee tours or even book a swim with the Manatees. The cute little town of Cedar Key (25 minutes away) is on the Gulf with lots of shops, restaurants, a boat ramp, fishing pier and even golf cart rentals to cruise around town on. The Tiki Bar at Low-Key Hideaway is right on the water and has live music every weekend. We also have the beautiful and scenic Chiefland Golf and Country Club about 15 minutes away where you can golf and dine. Our small town of Chiefland is only a 12-mile drive and has shops, dining options, a Super Walmart for your groceries/supplies, and a flea market that is open on the weekends. Our little town also has several thrift and antique shops for you to browse. We have two RV and two Tent spots: Yellow RV spot = 70’x19’, Green RV spot = 48’x18’, Orange Tent spot = 30’x40’, Blue Tent spot = 30’x40’ RV spots with electricity = $35/night, and Primitive Tent spots = $15/night Amenities include: 30-amp Electricity – RV spots only, Fire Pit (shared), Hammock (shared), Picnic Table (shared), One Bathroom with shower for all guests, Horseshoes / Cornhole / Giant Connect Four available upon request.
