Our property is 15 minutes South, from I75, 10 minutes from any restaurant or publix. We are a 2 mile drive down a dirt road, through the state forest. We offer 2-3 acres of a choose your own spot camping area. Located within the Picayune Strand State Forest, full of peace and quiet, and plenty of birds. We have a facility building that runs off a generator for running water. With that, we have a washroom, that consists of a large shower, and 2 bathroom stalls. we have then propane heated hot water for a nice hot shower. The sites are very " free range". Nothing that is too designated, so you have a free choice of where to pitch your tent, or park your camper van, or your RV.
Come and stay within the Evergaldes in Naples, of SWFL. A special private place like no other. You may have the place all to yourself, or share with others. It is not populated like other campgrounds.
The property is a designated farm, and we do have chickens.

Note: Flitterbug Farm is in a rural, agricultural part of South Florida. The setting is peaceful, but it’s also alive with the sounds of farm life and wildlife. You may hear roosters, dogs, owls, frogs, and the usual country activity from nearby neighbors. We provide complimentary earplugs for light sleepers, and many guests find the natural soundscape part of the charm, but we want you to know what to expect.

They also have a restaurant (Lakehouse Kitchen and Bar) that looks out over the water and live entertainment on certain days of the week!
If you are looking for a full farm-to-table experience, Buckingham Farms is 20 minutes from us and is a 85-acre farm with fresh produce grown hydroponically! We are also a one-minute drive to "Blossom & Brie" which is another farm-to-table experience that offers brunch, lunch, and dinner on a 50 acre farm!
With just a 2-minute drive, we have two parks, Nalle Grade Park and Pop Ash Creek Preserve, for those who enjoy nature walks, fishing, or birding. There are also a handful of other nature preserves and parks in the local area that are around a 20 to 25-minute drive!

Flitterbug Farm is home to a collection of majestic oak trees covered in spanish moss, ferns, and flowering vines. The oak trees loom high over a glittering pond, which is great for swimming during the summer months when the water is high. Tropical fruit trees, vegetables, herbs, and flowers decorate our gardens while chickens and bees wander the land. Expect beautiful stars, local wildlife such as owls and chameleons, an outdoor shower, and a "hippie hot tub" powered by a campfire. Sunsets on Flitterbug Farm are truly epic.
The land is close to 180 miles of local kayak trails (we rent kayaks!), a 10 minute drive from beautiful walking trails, and about an hour from the beach. We offer a rustic composting toilet, a heated outdoor shower, and a simple kitchen with a sink and stovetop.
Note: Flitterbug Farm is in a rural, agricultural part of South Florida. The setting is peaceful, but it’s also alive with the sounds of farm life and wildlife. You may hear roosters, dogs, owls, frogs, and the usual country activity from nearby neighbors. We provide complimentary earplugs for light sleepers, and many guests find the natural soundscape part of the charm, but we want you to know what to expect.

Downtown Fort Myers is about a 20-minute drive and has many local restaurants and shops if you want to go out and about. They typically have events on the weekends like Art Walk and Music Walk!
We are a 20-minute drive from Babcock Ranch - a community open to the public that has several walking/biking trails, a beautiful lake for kayaking/fishing, and a small dog park. They also have a restaurant (Lakehouse Kitchen and Bar) that looks out over the water and live entertainment on certain days of the week!
If you are looking for a full farm-to-table experience, Buckingham Farms is 20 minutes from us and is a 85-acre farm with fresh produce grown hydroponically! We are also a one-minute drive to "Blossom & Brie" which is another farm-to-table experience that offers brunch, lunch, and dinner on a 50 acre farm!
With just a 2-minute drive, we have two parks, Nalle Grade Park and Pop Ash Creek Preserve, for those who enjoy nature walks, fishing, or birding. There are also a handful of other nature preserves and parks in the local area that are around a 20 to 25-minute drive!
There are many other restaurants, parks, and local businesses nearby for you to enjoy if you want to get out and explore the local area!

Great communication from the office. Clean, nice brick paved lot with full hook-up. We did not use the available pool, clubhouse and laundry. This is an all age rv and mobile home park with full-time residents, seasonal and visitors. The park was quiet with a little more noise on the weekend. The park is close to shopping and adventures.

A Decent, well kept and quiet overall resort. Can be tight navigating big RVs and campers into spaces. Sites are very close together so no privacy for anyone seeking that. Definitely not a party resort and that was the best part! No loud music or drunk fighting that I witnessed. There were kids in the Jacuzzi all the time and no parents watching them and it made it really awkward to try to enjoy. A few of the kids were maybe 5 or 6 and at night the preteens wouldn't stop talking nonsense.
The overall vibe was family friendly and it had all the amenities you would need for a resort style stay. No fire places or grills on the property so that made it feel less like camping.
I would stay here again for visiting my family down there if I want the comforts of home. It's a dog friendly park but most of the area of Ft. Meyers and Naples aren't very dog friendly areas. We had to go out of the way to find off leash dog friendly beaches and parks. It's still a great location to be close to a lot of outdoor activities and fun in the area without a dog.

We had a good experience; the campsite is spacious and has plenty of shade. The bathroom was clean and close to our tent. John was very attentive. We had a problem with our inflatable mattress and had to buy a new one, but luckily, and very conveniently, there's a Walmart only 20 minutes away. The only thing we didn't like is that for us, the camping experience is about connecting with nature, but the constant noise of passing cars disrupted that connection. We would come back, but to a different campsite. Overall, we enjoyed it.

John, his wife Patty, and son John are all so wonderful! Extremely family friendly with lots of activities if you have kids, and REAL dog lovers. If you're looking for the perfect peaceful relaxing getaway for ALL your family members look no further.
Dogs are allowed off leash and our dog felt very much at home and happy to have so many new friends! We were so at peace we extended our stay. We had 2 different sites that I'd strongly recommend.
The Hideaway was stellar and felt like a literal hideaway! Cute and tucked away with a shady spot with a hammock. Shadie Oaks was exactly how it sounds, wonderful and shady and an extra nice big space with plenty of room in the sun! Both spaces have a fire pit, some chairs, and a picnic table.
You're not far from town to get more supplies or ice, but it feels like you're out in the middle of nowhere. Potable water isn’t available, but electric is provided and an amazing outdoor shower! Very nice bathroom as well. Highly recommend getting wood from them too. Got a huge bundles and well worth the price.
It was a very pleasant stay. If peace, quiet, and relaxation is what you're looking for you've found THE place you NEED to stay. It helped going out on the river a few times as well. The kayak rentals are VERY reasonable. We had fun taking our dog out on the tandem kayak! Fixed us right up and we're looking forward to our next trip because we plan on visiting again in the future!
