Well off the beaten track, it's scenic, private and peaceful. Camping at Moon In The Pond Farm is a bit of heaven.
There are separate sites to choose. Around the farm, you have your own secluded spot to enjoy. (Though you may be in a field next to our Scottish Highland cattle!) Two are tent sites: the PondSide and the FieldEdge. There's one site for small/tiny RVs or Campervan. And finally there's the HiddenCabin--a bed a roof and convenience. Each has a firepit with a small grill to cook over the fire. (all firewood provided)
Our campsites are in quieter areas of the farm. One overlooks the pond, others are on the edges of different farm fields, one a cabin nearer the farmstead. All require a beautiful, bucolic trek of 150-350 yards from the roadside parking--ensuring the quiet, natural experience. During the day times, you may see or hear farm work. At night it's lusciously dark and serenely quiet. You'll hear owls hoot, frogs croak, crickets chirp, foxes yowl and coyotes howl! In June and July the fields and trees light up like Christmas with fireflies, and you'll see the stars.
During the week is the absolute best time--the local hot spots (or cooling down spots!) are much quieter, and all our campsites have reduced weekday rates. If you can, take advantage by adding a Thursday or Sunday night to a weekend stay.
We've got an awesome, easy hiking trail on adjacent Nature Conservancy land. It meanders through woodlands, around rock ledges, through wetlands (on a 600' of boardwalk) and ends at a beautiful stream and pond with a gigantic beaver dam.
Not far from here are numerous well-marked hiking trails (including the Appalachian Trail (with famous Bash Bish Falls) and several offshoots (Sage's Ravine, Race Brook Falls), Bartholomew's Cobble, Umpacheenee Falls, and others). Also in the neighborhood are opportunities for canoeing, kayaking, swimming, rock climbing, gavel-road and country-road biking, and pretty much any outdoor activity/adventure opportunity. Or... you can just chill and relax, sleep, or read the day away!
Love food? This is Farm-to-Table for real! Never so close--the table's AT the farm! Bring your cooking gear and get some of our wicked fresh organic food--veggies, chops, sausages, eggs, bacon, granola, yogurt, etc. Sear yourself up a real treat!
Very nearby, as the Berkshires is a cultural mecca, there are also numerous opportunities from many great restaurants to art, dance, music, spas, galleries, antique shops, museums, cafes and much more.

Paula and her husband are kind, thoughtful, and helpful hosts! They were very quick to respond to our messages and were incredibly accommodating. I’d forgotten to pack cooking oil and Paula was generous enough to offer some of hers. This place has everything you need! If you enjoy birding this place has a variety of birds. Also, it was so cool to hear a great horned owl in the middle of the night.
We all had so much fun at their campsite - the perfect fall getaway. We’d love to visit again in the summer so we can enjoy the swimming holes and take advantage of the hiking trails!

With kids
We had a wonderful time at Paula and Bill’s campsite. It’s rustic yet well stocked and maintained, with tons of walking paths and a beautiful creek where we spent the afternoon skipping rocks. Bill brought us fresh water and firewood (along with some lovely conversation), and even when a nor’easter rolled through on our final night, we stayed warm and dry in our tent. Paula was so easy to get in touch with and they were flexible with our arrival time coming from NYC. The land they are on is truly stunning and they really care for it with such love.
Our six-year-old had the best time and now wishes we could camp there every weekend!
We also spent part of one of our days at Kesicke Farm, where he played in the corn maze, fed the animals, and just had an absolute blast. Mighty Donuts was also amazing and a great spot for kids, and Red Hook diner on our way out was just exactly what we needed.
Overall, our experience was fantastic, and we would love to come back again!

We had a great weekend at the campsite. Their attention to detail was incredible. You really had everything we needed to enjoy the weekend. The trails for hiking on the property very well maintained. I am definitely coming back next spring.

This campsite was so great. We loved the kitchen set up, and all of the supplies they have ready for you! The tent was cozy, and the stove in there helped a ton. We can’t wait to come back! Definitely would recommend trying it out!

We had an awesome weekend here we loved every minute of it. The beds are so comfortable and the kitchen area was equipped with everything we also had a blast fishing. Our dogs enjoyed staying here too. We will for sure be back!

This was a great site. Well-stocked with necessities, but rustic and isolated enough that you really enjoy your time with the surrounding nature and stream. Existing tents were very comfortable. And Paula and Bill were very attentive and made sure we had the water we needed. They were hands off allowing us to enjoy the stay, but attentive and quick when we needed something.

3 nights at Moon In The Pond Farm
Accommodations and site were as described. Dominic is very friendly and helpful. It's a few miles off any main roads so it's very quiet and dark at night so the star gazing is excellent and so is the sleeping.
I would note that there is no shower available for use but he will let you use the hose! :)

This campsite was a five star experience from start to finish! Paula and Bill were very accommodating for our last minute visit when a previous reservation was canceled due to a site error. The amenities and service are above and beyond—all the firewood you could ever need, an ice chest (with complimentary ice refills!), water and camp showers (restocked daily), a wood stove in the tent for chilly nights as well as a mattress and pillows, propane and charcoal grills for anyone who prefers that to a campfire, the list goes on and on! The proximity to the river is a huge luxury, just be aware the path down is steep. We wouldn’t change a thing about our time here and are definitely dreaming of coming back the next chance we get- possibly with friends since there’s a spare tent with air mattresses!

Weekend Trip to Beavertides Farm
I would only recommend "maybe" as most of my friends are not as adventurous staying at a working farm. Working is the right way to say it so no fancy paths or high end stuff. Just a very cool relaxing way to spend time around a real farm scene. Hosts were MOST helpful and nice and the tent was huge. Beds super comfy, clean and the fridge came in handy too. Donkey and two horsed milling about was nice. I'd say the solar shower is a bit crude but I've been told it's to be upgraded. The whole area is wonderful. So yeah, you want to chill simply? Come here!

Paula gave us very detailed instructions from the point of booking. She was responsive whenever we reached out to her for things and her husband Bill gave us a great tour. We were able to capture some crawfish and swim in the stream that takes about 5-10 minutes of walking. The water was very clean. Everything we needed was pretty much there except for the food (obviously). You would need to bring plates, utensils, and cups. The dogs loved it there!

We loved our trip to Paula's campsite! They had everything we needed, the land and the water was gorgeous. We swam and took walks, discovering creatures and wildlife. The campsite was so clean and well maintained. We would highly recommend staying and we will definitely be back. Paula is very responsive and answered our questions promptly. 10/10, will stay again!

We just had our second visit to Paula’s campsite and had a great time. It’s very secluded and quiet. They’ve got a ton of camping gear set up already, so we don’t need to haul all of our equipment. It’s a very short walk down to the creek where we went swimming each day, and there are plenty of walking trails on site. Practically unlimited firewood and water too. We’ll definitely be back!
