Weekend Trip to Hartwoods

My wife and I wanted a quiet couple of days with our dog and this place was perfect. Very clean flat site. Thanks it was just what we wanted. We will be coming back in the future.

2 nights at Blackburn Farm

Fantastic location. Chris and Tiffany were amazing hosts, with the campsite being perfect for our camper. Water and Electric hookups meant we didnt have to worry about anything, and Mystic had a lot to do in the two nights we were there. We have a 6 year old, and he loved staying next to the goats/sheep/chickens. We'll be visiting again soon, and looking to stay here again. A+

This was a very private site with water and electrical hookups - perfect for testing out our RV chops as first-timers! Our dog appreciated being off-leash as well, a luxury he’s not typically afforded.

3 nights at Hartwoods

We truly had a wonderful time, Rick was a great host, made sure we were doing ok which I appreciate. Site was great and easy to get too. I think I loved the firepit the most it was huge. Highly recommend bringing outdoor carpet as the site is gravel.

Quiet and peaceful spot. Nice level gravel site. I pulled in my 23’ trailer. Go to second entrance as it was easier. I would stay again. The town is wonderful.

A very nice, quiet site in the woods. Lots of room, good level site with full hookups available. The host was really welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay here again.

Amy was a fabulous host! Beautiful tucked away little spot with lots to do in Newtown and the surrounding area. Absolutely lovely weekend getaway :-)

5 nights at Mickelberry Forest Gardens

Easy to find and beautiful quiet setting. Hosts were very welcoming and even checked on my solar charging when it rained for a few days. Would love to come back. Outdoor sink convenient for cleaning up after dinner. Adjacent goats always good for a laugh.

Super secluded and quiet but really accessible! Lovely sound of birds. Everything worked perfectly.

The campsite was great and we set up our tent right next to our car. Although we couldn’t find firewood to use for our campfire we used the bark and it was a good starter. Very calm and peaceful vibe 10/10

3 nights at Hartwoods

This was a lovely place for us to stay with our Aliner Evolution 15 while we visited our Connecticut family members for the weekend. We drove from Cleveland with our camper (a long drive) and we were especially grateful for the electric hookup and the privacy of the property. This site will be our #1 choice when we return to visit family in the future!

Beautiful woods, so quiet, private and immaculately clean! This was a lovely one night stop for us on our way back from a competition in RI. FYI: the road in is quite narrow and my GPS took my 1/4 mi past the drive to a gated dead end. Thank heavens my trailer is small and I can do a 3 point turn! There is a sign on a tree next to the entry but sign is small and same color as the tree. My eyes are old. Lol. Other than that it was gorgeous!

Very clean level lot. Gravel base was great. Water wasn’t turned on but I brought my own so it wasn’t a big deal. The camping site is much closer to the road than I originally expected. There was quite a bit of car traffic and some dirt bikes and 18 wheelers. Being a solo female camper in a popup tent, this was a little concerning at first because there wasn’t as much privacy as I expected, but it worked out fine and was a lovely night away.

My significant other and I stayed here for a night! It was super secluded and quiet, which was wonderful! We are roadtripping with our travel trailer to Maine, and it made for a perfect over night! The sight was clean well taken care of! It also had plenty of space to maneuver around!

1 night at Blackburn Farm

This is a great private quiet and beautiful location and Chris, our host, was very welcoming and helpful. The site is level and sits on a massive trail network, suitable for hiking, and biking and is close to Mystic/Stonington and the many parks, boat launches, docks, museums and great restaurants in the area. We will definitely be back with kayaks/bikes.

We had a good sunset on the woods, place is neat,well kept. We love that it was private and the dogs were off leash.Definitely gona go back again sometime,the provided electricity and water was so useful. One of my go to places in the future.
