Weekend Trip to Forest Treasure Island

Stayed here for one night with a buddy and our four girls, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. The girls had an absolute blast—especially playing with the adorable puppies, roasting marshmallows around the campfire, and hanging out in the spacious tent. The site was comfortable, well set up, and perfect for a quick escape. We’re already talking about when we can come back. Highly recommend!

2 nights at Yurt Farm Stay

I absolutely loved staying in Amy and Bill’s Yurt! The farm is delightful with horses, cows, goats, chickens and ducks. Amy and Bill were friendly and welcoming and gave me great recommendations in the area. The yurt is clean, the bed is super comfortable, the outhouse is clean and smells fresh like pine. There is a nice outdoor shower with hot water. They provided a cooler, you just have to get ice. A bbq and fire pit are available for you. Overall a fantastic stay, would definitely come again!

The Cabbage Tent glamping property offers a fantastic experience. A peaceful and unique getaway in the woods awaits. The host, Jan, provides a warm welcome.. Jan was incredibly helpful and provided amazing hospitality. The glamping tent is nestled in the woods. Comfortable bed frames and all the necessary amenities are provided for a cozy night's sleep. The property has a charming farm atmosphere. Roosters, chickens, and bunnies roam freely, adding to the experience. The play area has a swing and other fun activities for kids. Fire logs are available, allowing for a cozy campfire in the evenings. Jan offered fresh eggs to take away in the morning. The Cabbage Tent glamping experience exceeded expectations. The combination of nature, comfortable accommodations, and Jan's exceptional hospitality made for a memorable trip.

Weekend Trip to Yurt Farm Stay

My girlfriend and I absolutely loved it !! Already planning on coming back. My girlfriend has never been camping and she had a great time . Very comfortable. Bill and Amy our hosts were awesome definitely made us feel at home showed us the animals and made sure we were settled in. Can't wait to go back !!

Weekend Trip to Beavertides Farm

What an incredible glamping experience! From the moment we arrived, we were completely enchanted by this hidden gem! The tent itself was beautifully appointed and very spacious. But stepping outside was where the real magic happened: we were immediately immersed in a stunning wild meadow filled with colorful flowers and tall, swaying grasses, all framed by gorgeous forest. The animal encounters made it even more special. A friendly donkey greeted us upon arrival, and throughout our stay we delighted in watching chickens, ducks, and geese wandering freely around the property and grazing in the fields. The location couldn't have been better for exploration. We used it as our perfect base camp for discovering charming nearby villages and tackling some amazing hiking trails. Our host, Marleen, was warm, welcoming, and gave us the most fantastic local recommendations! If you're a nature lover looking for an authentic escape from the everyday, this is your spot.

Weekend Trip to Glamping @ Meadow Ridge Farm

This spot is so lovely! We had ample space to set up our tents and there is a great cooking space and fire pit! My pup was off leash and had the best time running around and smelling lots of things! The sit itself is super private and the view is incredible. It rained quite a bit and we thankfully brought our own pop-up tent to cover the cooking area. We will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Humble Farm with Simplicity

Great hospitality from Mary & Victor. The horses were friendly to my dog & I. There are also chickens on the site as well. You can tell a lot of thought was put into the cabin. It’s very homey & cozy. I stayed for one night and going to stay for more whenever I need a getaway! Recommend. :)

Weekend Trip to Luxury Camping at 'Higher Ground'

We loved our time here! It felt very remote and peaceful even as we drove in. The climb up to the site is real, don't underestimate how steep it is. We did and brought way too much gear! Left about 90% of our unnecessary items in the car and were more than fine with what they provided. This is not pull up car camping, so don't pack like it is. They have everything you need up there, for real! They were wonderful hosts! Our dogs were able to be off leash the whole time and it was easy to teach them both to leave the goats (who are in their pen) alone. The bed is really quite comfy! The lighting was great with the small lamps they leave on the side tables. Very cozy inside the tent! And omg the heater, use it!!! It was amazing on cold and rainy nights. It's nature, there are bugs. Ticks are plentiful this year so do regular tick checks. They do provide you with plenty of bug spray. We are excited to have discovered this gem of a place! The location can't be beat, the accommodations are very well thought out and the hosts were wonderful!

Weekend Trip to Two Herons Farm

We had a lovely time at Molly and Diego's farm! The camper was very cute and cosy and provided all of the amenities we needed. Molly and Diego were very kind and friendly and checked on us after we arrived. The surrounding property was idyllic with the farms animals, bunnies and cats roaming around and coming to investigate us. The camper area felt private and the string lights were a nice touch while we enjoyed some drinks by the fire and listened to the animals settling in for the night. It was a perfect launch point to the Airline State Park Trail nearby, we would absolutely come and stay again!

Weekend Trip to Luxury Camping at 'Higher Ground'

Evan and Laura's site was perfect. Everything you need is provided, both were very responsive to any questions we had, the bathroom and shower were way better than what we're used to at campsites and they offered suggestions for local hikes and a great butcher shop. The goats are pretty darn cute too. Highly recommend this site!

The property is very spread out and there are 2 outhouses for all sites to use. Your pets are welcome too! Locally there are state parks with beaches, and state forest for trails and lakes, hiking and biking. Or you can just relax and enjoy the serenity! We cannot allow any wood for camp fires to be brought in form the outside for environmental reasons. It can be pre-purchased for $12 per bundle on this site, or $10.00 cash here at farm. Farm Fresh eggs daily when available for $5.00 per 1/2 dozen. There are blankets and pillows are provided, and linens for cabin or trailer sites. Garbage removal is available as well $5 per bag provided.

HIGHER GROUND sits at the very southern tip of Clarence Fahnestock State Park. It's the ideal getaway if you want to explore Fahnestock, check out neighboring Cold Spring, Beacon, Peekskill, or just want to hang out at the site and read/relax by a campfire. We're only 1.5 miles from a SECRET entrance to Fahnestock and the trailhead to Candlewood Hill, one of the park's most exquisite views.. Just 2.5 miles away is a main parking lot and the hub for several other hiking trails including Catfish Loop, Three Lakes, Old Mine Railroad and the famed Appalachian Trail. We can provide you with a trail map and help plan your hike. Swimming at Canopus Lake is only 7 miles away. Other Fahenstock activities include fishing, boat rentals, biking, and snowshoeing/x-country skiing in the winter. Come stay on our working farm! Relax and enjoy all that our farm has to offer. You can enjoy nature and privacy or opt for a more interactive experience and join our morning or evening farm tour where you can interact with goats, sheep, mini-horses, pigs, chickens, ducks, and more. We are a small family farm where we raise animals and grow flowers/food. Our family home was built in 1739 and is situated near the street entrance. As you enter the property, you will see two cottages, the oldest corn crib in the county, and a beautifully restored 1800s barn. There is a vintage-style camper to the left of the barn, located in an area where you can have privacy overlooking the pastures. We live on the property and can assist guests with anything that they might need. Guests are welcome to stroll around the property and enjoy all it has to offer. We have a farm store and education center opening summer of 2025! Check our website to see classes and offerings that you might take advantage of during your stay. Please note, that we ask that guests do not enter the barn or fenced pasture without one of the farm owners (Molly & Diego). Our animals are accustomed to people, but livestock is unpredictable, especially to people that they do not know. There is plenty of area outside of the pasture that guests can enjoy.
