We loved staying on Tina’s land! Our spot was quiet, peaceful, and tucked away right by the water. Unfortunately, with how little rain there’s been, the water levels were pretty low, but it was still beautiful—and our pup had the best time splashing around! 🐾
We spent the afternoon walking along the sand, relaxing by the water, and watching a storm roll through. Such a peaceful and beautiful place to unwind. We’d definitely stay again!

This was such a beautiful place to stay. Amii and Tom are so warm and accommodating. The camping area is private and has gorgeous views of the mountains. It’s a super safe area for kids to explore as well. The goats were so friendly, as were the horses, and the resident cat. Can’t recommend this place enough! We look forward to camping here again. 😊

A great location just far enough away from I-80 to not hear the highway noise, but close enough for a convenient stop on our road trip. Jana and Tim were warm and hospitable and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. Jana gave us good suggestions for stops along the way. This spot delivered the perfect birthday weekend escape. Tina was an exceptional host…kind, responsive, and genuinely above and beyond in every way. As a solo traveler on this trip I felt completely safe and at ease the entire time, which means everything.
The site itself is a dream… private, peaceful, with a beautiful private beach and one of the most breathtaking sunsets I’ve ever seen, followed by a stunning moonrise and a
stargazer’s sky. The firepit on the beach and the warm (but breezy) evening were priceless. Pure solitude. Pure magic.
So deeply grateful for this one. If you’re looking to unplug and reset, book it.
Note - this is nomadic camping, no restroom facilities. Cell service works great and Tina is responsive and helpful!

We had a wonderful, quiet stay camping right on the water at Jackson Lake. It was the perfect base for kayaking and paddle boarding, and our dogs absolutely loved being able to jump straight into the water. The views are incredible, and the atmosphere is very relaxing.
Site Access & Tips:
Accessing the site required driving through some grass; we used 4WD, which would definitely be necessary if the ground was wet, though a standard vehicle should be fine in dry conditions. There were some gnats, mosquitoes and ticks during our visit, but the host was very responsive and plans to keep the grass mown and add a fire pit and table soon, which will be awesome additions to the site!
Overall, a beautiful spot for a peaceful waterfront escape. We’d definitely stay here again!

Great little spot tucked among all the farm fields! We were able to sleep in an old grainery instead of our tent and it was amazing! Jana and Tim were so nice, checked to make sure we had everything we needed and invited us to have coffee with them in the morning, although we didn’t take them up on it. Great value and great stop on our drive to the Dakotas; we couldn’t ask for anything more.

First thing’s first: Jana and Tim are the loveliest, most welcoming hosts. One of my favorite parts of this Hipcamp stay was sitting down with them and enjoying conversation over coffee in the morning before I left. They had great stories and helpful tips for exploring the area by bike, as well as a scenic detour (plus hot springs) as I headed toward my next destination. Beyond this, I had a wonderful experience from the moment I arrived. I caught a beautiful sunset while riding along on the surrounding country roads, followed by a hot shower, and slept soundly under thousands of stars with the distant hum of cows. Had access to a super clean porto right at Camp. I chose a spot behind several rows of trees that Tim and Jana planted almost thirty years ago—the whole area felt private, yet expansive. Can’t recommend this camp, and these hosts enough!!
