Nomadic camping

Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.

!!!!!!!!The lake has tested positive for toxic algae in some areas!!!!!!!! Pease visit the Jackson Reservoir website and Facebook page prior to booking. We are hoping this passes soon! People are still enjoying fishing and water activities but are following instructions of the State of Colorado. Near the intersection of County Rd 5 and Pelican Dr. This is an undeveloped property and not located in a neighborhood. We invite you to enjoy a beautiful lakefront property on the east side of Jackson Reservoir. It’s a great spot for a getaway, though the experience is rustic. Please note this is dry camping only, so guests should plan accordingly and bring a generator if needed. The access road is currently rough and not fully maintained. While campers are welcome, the uneven terrain may not be suitable for all vehicles, so please use your best judgment. Once you arrive, there are plenty of activities to enjoy, including swimming, fishing, and paddleboarding. The water in this area is quite shallow. Nearby, you’ll also find ATV trails, and the state park on the west side of the reservoir offers a boat dock, showers, restrooms, and a small store.Flat with lake views. Large common area available. Dock boats and Jet skis at waters edge and enjoy swimming, paddle boarding, skiing etc. Relax by the campfire at days end.

An Unlikely Oasis

Lakeside at Jackson Reservoir

This spot delivered the perfect birthday weekend escape. Tina was an exceptional host…kind, responsive, and genuinely above and beyond in every way. As a solo traveler on this trip I felt completely safe and at ease the entire time, which means everything. The site itself is a dream… private, peaceful, with a beautiful private beach and one of the most breathtaking sunsets I’ve ever seen, followed by a stunning moonrise and a stargazer’s sky. The firepit on the beach and the warm (but breezy) evening were priceless. Pure solitude. Pure magic. So deeply grateful for this one. If you’re looking to unplug and reset, book it. Note - this is nomadic camping, no restroom facilities. Cell service works great and Tina is responsive and helpful!

Lakeside at Jackson Reservoir

We had a wonderful, quiet stay camping right on the water at Jackson Lake. It was the perfect base for kayaking and paddle boarding, and our dogs absolutely loved being able to jump straight into the water. The views are incredible, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Site Access & Tips: Accessing the site required driving through some grass; we used 4WD, which would definitely be necessary if the ground was wet, though a standard vehicle should be fine in dry conditions. There were some gnats, mosquitoes and ticks during our visit, but the host was very responsive and plans to keep the grass mown and add a fire pit and table soon, which will be awesome additions to the site! Overall, a beautiful spot for a peaceful waterfront escape. We’d definitely stay here again!
