The property is .57 acres in an L shape. It has many trees consisting of spruce, ponderosa, and aspens. The plot sits right at 9000 feet above sea level. There are great Mountain View’s and lots of Quiet. There is unlimited national forest access just a 2 min walk from the property, 3 private fishing ponds, and a very large and versatile shooting range nearby.

Located on a private, forested area of our modern, Off-Grid working homestead. This site offers you mountaintop views, plenty of aspens as well as pine trees and abundant wildlife passing through.
Leave the noise of the city behind and wake up to birds singing, hummingbirds buzzing by and potentially a moose or deer sighting. Oh and quite possibly our rooster crowing ;) Hike into the National Forest off the property. Guided hikes can also be arranged for an additional fee. Or just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet!
Plenty of other hiking trails nearby, creeks and Slaughterhouse Gulch for those that love a good 4WD adventure.
A propane fire-pit will be provided for you so you can still enjoy a nice campfire. A propane heater is also available for chilly nights or winter camping. The Greenhouse also includes a camp stove, a percolator for making coffee or tea, minimal cookware and silverware. Potable water will be provided along with coffee and tea. Fresh eggs from our chickens can also be made available upon request for a small fee.
Cots and a hammock are available for use in the Greenhouse, but you will have to bring your own sleeping mats, sleeping bags and pillows. Sleeping mats and sleeping bags on the floor are also an option if you choose. Picnic tables are close to the Greenhouse for enjoying time outdoors.
The Glamping in the Aspens Tent has a wood burning stove in it that will be available starting later season 2024. Firewood for the wood stove will be provided for you. Just outside the tent is a picnic table with BBQ grill and propane fire pit. There is a porch area with outdoor kitchen and a queen sized bed inside the tent. A comfy dog bed is also included.
A composting toilet is available for use. No showers currently available (Bath House coming soon).
Well behaved dogs are allowed, however, they must be on a leash or under voice command.
There are 2 dogs that live on the property as well as chickens, turkeys, and a cat. All will be contained so as not to disturb (except for the occasional rooster crow).

Weekend Trip to Little Buffalo Cabin
What a wonderful visit to the sweetest Cabin imaginable. Hartsell is a darling little town with lots to do within a short drive… Hot Springs, a drive-in, movie theater, great restaurants and outdoor activities. The house was exactly as pictured with wood for the fireplace, a well stocked kitchen, a cozy bed, plenty of extra blankets and pillows, and absolutely stunning views. We had an incredible time and would go back in a heartbeat!

Little Buffalo Cabin was so cute and cozy and perfect for a weekend away. It was clean and well-appointed, with great amenities and amazing views. Plenty of space for our kiddos and dog to run around outside and say hi to the horses, walking distance to the general store and to some of the best pizza, and stocked up with wood for the stove (which we didn’t need to use). We had a great stay!

The accommodations were over the top, and we had the greatest time! Annette and Patrick are super friendly and they have thought of everything! All cookware, utensils, seasonings, sink, water, propane heater, fire pit, and grill, chairs, extra blankets, dog bed and bowls, queen size air mattress, and bedding are there for you. It got down to 33° at night and we were very comfortable in the tent with the propane heater they provide. We did bring additional sleeping bags to add to the air mattress and sheets they provided and it even got a little too warm for us which was great. Also, solar power for charging electronics and they provide lighting in the tent. The view is amazing and it’s so quiet which is what I wanted. No road noises, just nature. The spot is large and you have complete privacy.
You really need an off-road vehicle to get up to the site, and be sure to air-down a bit. The road to the Campground is pretty bumpy and then you have a steep incline to their property. I have a Jeep Wrangler and it’s a fun ride up if you prepare for it.
Overall this was a great time and I have every intention of returning! Thanks Annette and Patrick!

We had such a wonderful stay! The host, Marni, was incredibly kind and welcoming which made us feel right at home.
The camper was clean, comfortable, and really adorable. It is whimsical with bright colors and a happy mood. I really love that the camper has running water, a bathroom with shower, fridge, and heat! The nights were getting cool during our stay and the heat made us so comfortable.
The property itself is absolutely beautiful. With pretty views, and the added joy of seeing horses, goats, and alpacas right on site. It was peaceful, fun, and such a unique experience to be surrounded by the animals. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a special camping trip!

Surprising little shed turned into a getaway space. Appreciated the potable water inside and kitchette. This may be a work in progress, but insulating more walls and the floor would help.

This was a good location for our purposes. The access was easy and even though there was lots of rain, and a little roadway washout in the morning, it was easily passable and not a worry for us.
The tiny accommodations are appropriately appointed and accurately advertised.

Our hosts ensured a comfortable, safe and relaxing stay. Would be happy to stay here again as it is a quick trip from the city. Strongly recommend a 4WD vehicle for the drive in, but at Patrick’s instruction we were able to make it up no problem.

I absolutely loved Marion's fishing hut. It was perfect and I loved all the touches. The TV, the small refrigerator and microwave, little coffee maker, and all the utensils, plates, cups and portable electric hot plates to cook. There is a wash basin to wash and to wash dishes. Water was provided, which was awesome. They also provided movies to watch on the TV and the the trundle bed was perfect and comfortable, as well as, the pillow, and the blanket was so warm.
It looked like a little cottage with the framed windows, which opened from the inside with little blinds, and when you would open the little windows, there was a nice breeze. I didn't mind the roosters across the way they were funny, and I took pictures of the beautiful horses also across the way. It was quiet. The little fishing hut is surrounded by pine trees and Aspen trees. The little outhouse was so cute and clean, also with nice touches. And the lid to the toilet was painted with Aspen trees!! Whoever painted it is a great artist. I highly recommend this little hut for me and my 2 dogs, it was perfect. There's also a picnic table and chairs outside and a water spigot. I will definitely be back to this little piece of mountain paradise. 👏🏞⛰️

Weekend Trip to Indian Mountain Homestead
We enjoyed our stay here: the view was great, all the necessities were taken care of, and Patrick & Annette made it easy to coordinate the meetup at check-in. We were there during an intense thunderstorm and had no trouble with leaks or dampness despite heavy rainfall and wind. It was a lovely way to enjoy the mountains without having to spend a lot of time planning and preparing what to bring along. Would definitely come back for another stay!

Definitely a nice place to stay at. Clean and simple. Has a TV, DVD player with a good selection of movies, mini fridge, microwave, as well as a mini heater. Has a lot of areas within a short drive to see beautiful sunsets. Has very spotty signal, but thats what makes places like these nice, you have to disconnect and enjoy nature. Definitely recommend staying here. Do note, it does get cold during the nights so prepare accordingly, the blanket and heater was good enough for me.

"Wow!!! The word I used when we arrived and when we left. Annette and Patrick thought of everything. Patrick was nice enough to go through everything they have. When you wake up, there’s a propane grill to make breakfast. They have utensils, plates, seasonings—everything you need to prepare food. Lunch/Dinner: there’s a propane grill to make your food. There’s a picnic table to sit at. At night, fire up the propane fire pit to stay warm. There’s an outhouse for doing the business. Oh yeah, the stars are amazing!! Spacious tent with plenty of room. Highly recommend taking a break from the city and making the trip. You’ll feel recharged when you leave.

Great little spot! The neighbors were super friendly, with horses and chickens across the road. The cabin is a small hut, perfect for a couple and two dogs to sleep comfortably. The trail head is in walking distance with a beautiful hike. Lots to do and explore in the area. We really enjoyed our weekend get away! Thank you so much!

The site was so clean and absolutely breathtaking. The stars at night are endless. Annette and Patrick definitely thought of everything one could need while camping. They even ran by to drop off extra flashlights for my kids to use. By far my fave spot that we will be going back to soon. I cant recommend this place enough!

The space is quiet (minus the roosters on the property across the street but not at all bothersome!) and well kept. They are in the process of upgrading the cabin and adding some nice touches. Even the outhouse is done really well! There is walkable access to the national forest right around the corner.
There is a grill, mini fridge, microwave and dishware. Plenty of potable water accessible.
The hosts are wonderful. We will definitely return.
