We have some amazing hiking trails and Arapahoe National Forest in our backyard! Maxwell National Trailhead is 9 mins from the property with free parking and free entrance. Cub Creek Trail Head is also around the corner. Evergreen Lake- 15 min car ride. Fishing, kayaking, picnic. Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre- 30 min car ride. Summer concerts, and movie nights at the park. Our property is at 10,000 feet in the foothills of the Rockies. The last mile is unpaved and has some steep inclines. If you like to shoot arrows bring your bow! The terrain is rocky so, we highly recommend to keep your eyes on your small kids as well as when they are on the lofts, for security reasons. Reiki healing sessions are available upon request as well as Reiki training by a Certified Reiki Master. Smoking is permitted outside when not under a fire ban. Hipcamper under 21 years old are welcome only under adult supervision. We recommend to bring your own towels and a flashlight since our lodging has an out side toilet. What a wonderful visit to the sweetest Cabin imaginable. Hartsell is a darling little town with lots to do within a short drive… Hot Springs, a drive-in, movie theater, great restaurants and outdoor activities. The house was exactly as pictured with wood for the fireplace, a well stocked kitchen, a cozy bed, plenty of extra blankets and pillows, and absolutely stunning views. We had an incredible time and would go back in a heartbeat!

The small cabin is very comfortable & has everything you need in regard to chairs, cookware, etc. My only advice would be to be sure to know your way out because Google maps got me there easily but there’s no cell service so be sure to remember your way back. Beautiful lake & Tim was so helpful!

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the A frame cabin. The modern and minimalist design was really comfy- we felt right at home. There are many great places to explore and hike nearby. We enjoyed starting and ending our days appreciating the nature views in the living room. The fall was a beautiful time of year to visit and Ernest was a great host!

This property is a beautiful hidden gem with amazing night guys, absolute solitude and responsive host. The cabin was larger than I expected with 2 beds in the loft, 2 beds on the main floor and a couch in the living room next to the wood stove. The wood stove heats up fast and provides house of heat without needing to reload and the propane burners for Coleman stove are perfect for cooking. Just bring some battery powered string lights for lighting at night and a headlamp. There are good hiking options on the property and the adjacent BLM lands.

Little Buffalo Cabin was so cute and cozy and perfect for a weekend away. It was clean and well-appointed, with great amenities and amazing views. Plenty of space for our kiddos and dog to run around outside and say hi to the horses, walking distance to the general store and to some of the best pizza, and stocked up with wood for the stove (which we didn’t need to use). We had a great stay!
