For all the boondockers out there, this campground is amazing! There are 7 sites on this family ranch property. One site, right by the house, does have full hookups. The goats and donkeys are penned in an area close to the camp sites. The horses are kept in a pasture adjacent to the back of most of the sites. This area is some of the most beautiful farm/ranch country we have ever encountered. And the host is fabulous!

We really enjoyed visiting Glen Isle Resort! The land is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed learning about its history. They were so kind to walk us through the lodge and show us the artifacts and old photographs. As far as camping goes, we did have a hard time finding a level spot for our van and the noise from the road wasn’t awesome. We ended up making do and got a good night’s sleep. All in all, we had a great time and really enjoyed the history of the place.

Directions to entrance was clear, I had no problems coming or going. The location is proximal to so much good stuff, and the spot itself is very well maintained. It’s an open field so expect to have some neighboring campers. Hope this location is as good to the next camper as it was to me.

Great spot close to Manitou Incline. Make sure you park close to the fence and don’t block the gate. The owners went in and out of the yard with various vehicles a few times after hours.

As a solo female car camper I highly recommend this spot. It’s in Denver close to downtown and the mountains. The neighborhood is quiet and the host is very accommodating. Be aware the driveway does have a small incline.

Weekend Trip to Little Scraggy Camp

We had a blast at this campsite. Plenty of trees for cooling off and a lot of places to explore. The instructions were perfect and the host explained everything in detail. The location was perfect for us because it was really close to several trails and Wellington Lake. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

A real vibe. Great location and the other campers were so friendly it felt like I was camping at a little festival or something. The host helped us to figure out the shower early in the morning, and it was a really peaceful atmosphere.

3 nights at Rustic Creek Ranch

Great name for this property. It is rustic and remote yet pretty good roads for the most part. Beautiful area and our site was fairly flat and the other sites we walked by looked to be the same. The camp host, Debbie, was great and stopped by one afternoon and spent some time chatting. This is a large property and Debbie definitely has busy days caring for it all. Many sites to choose from and a lot of space between sites. Would stay again.

COLORADO WINTER TRAVEL: There is a possibility of snowy roads anytime from September through March. It's such fickle weather. One day can be sunny and 50 degrees and the next day a 6-inch snowfall. Generally, the roads clear up within a day or two of a snowfall so the impact isn't too troublesome. If you rent our place in this time frame, good all season tires are advisable. Our driveway is fairly flat and the county road to the house is plowed often. If there is a snowfall during your stay, we will have the driveway plowed out if we get more than 4 inches of snow and after the snow has stopped falling. If a snowfall lasts more than a single day, we may have it plowed out each day of a snowfall if more than 4 inches accumulate. Use caution during any snowfall as ground can become unexpectedly slippery. Message us if you have any issues.

Rustic Creek Ranch

The 160 acre ranch was homesteaded by my grandfather over 100 years ago. He was an engineer. The plan was to use this property as summer grazing for his cattle. The cattle were wintered at the other ranch about 10 miles away, which was homesteaded by my great grandfather. Because my grandfather could survey, he made sure the property lines zigzaged up the valley so the small creek was in the middle to provide water for the animals. He chose well. It is a beautiful, quiet place with elk, deer and wild turkeys. There are tons of wild flowers in the summer. Columbines, the Colorado state flower, wild roses, paintbrushes and lots of wild chokecherries. With nice views of nearby mountains, open pastures, evergreen forests and aspen groves, it looks like it did 100 years ago. Plus, there are a couple of ponds for your dogs to cool off in. Since the first cattle, the ranch has also been home to goats, chickens, horses, and now more goats, alpacas and llamas. And of course the Great Pyrenees ranch dogs. I had a house built a few years ago and live on the property full time. The ranch is surrounded by Pike National Forest with the Colorado Trail connecting the property in a number of places. Some of the highest ranked mountain bike trails are nearby. There are lots of places on and off the property to hike, mountain bike and ride your horse. Welcome to our charming 2-acre farm nestled in East Boulder with a view of Long’s Peak. Just minutes from town - near walking trails, shopping and restaurants. A great pitstop on your way to or from the mountains. We have a 4 meter Glamping tent complete with a queen sized bed, chairs, and a wood burning stove - as well as spots in the meadow for most types of travel: motorhomes, vans, trailers, teardrops, rooftop tents, ground-dwelling tents... We can handle RVs around 45 feet in total length - truck and trailer. It’s a big field, but a narrow, winding and steep ramp to get in and out. If you are a nervous driver, perhaps choose another place to rest your head. If you are a great driver, you can go even bigger. We have a community fire ring with a big pile of free burn wood, though the big logs are getting few and far between; bringing your own firewood is recommended. Bring an ax or saw. If it's windy, skip the fire... the BFD is very strict about this!! We have well water up at the solar shower, don't drink it without purification. We have fresh eggs at the coop. Take what you need; give what you can. Watch out for the rooster. The chickens free range during the day, so PLEASE keep an eye on your dogs… leash if necessary. Our gals won’t run away. Glen Isle is located in Bailey, Colorado which is the perfect vacation spot for friends, family, reunions, or a private get away. Glen Isle was originally built for an escape from hectic Denver. Once you cross the bridge into the resort, you’ll understand why it has served as a peaceful getaway for over a century. The Platte River welcomes you and divides the property from Highway 285. If you love to fish, you have a mile of the river to use at your disposal. If hiking is your forte and you desire to explore nature, Glen Isle is surrounded by the National Forest, Lost Creek Wilderness, Payne Gulch Trailhead, the Colorado Trail and many private acres for you to explore. You will find history narrates the Native American’s story where Glen Isle was once used as an Indian encampment, and numerous trees still stand today that were culturally modified to mark sacred treasures. If you seek tranquility, you will find hummingbirds and chipmunks always seeking an audience to entertain. Starting June 1st, we will offer evening activities, and campers are welcome to come to the lodge, shop in our gift shop. We also have snacks for purchase, and popcorn for our guests to enjoy. (Glorious Glen Isle was unoccupied for six years. We are in the process of renovating hundred year old cabins, and the 8,000 square foot lodge. Our camping areas have a river setting, glorious valley views, and a private setting surrounded by the National Forest. However, there is renovation and construction going on around some areas of the property. Additionally, as you can see from the map and read in a few reviews, we are just on the other side of the beautiful Platte River from Highway 285. About 75% of our guests are not bothered by the busyness of the this highway but others can be more sensitive to the noise. We want Glen-Isle campers to enjoy their experience as much as possible, so if you would like more information, please do not hesitate to ask. Our goal is to share the property with others, and to have the "happiest" campers in Colorado!) Glen Isle Resort was opened in 1901, by five original investors. In 1923, the property was bought by the Baldwin's and in the 1940's it was given to the Baldwin's granddaughter, Barbara and her husband Gordon Tripp. The Tripp family owned and operated the resort until Barbara's death in November 2012. Mary Ruth grew up coming to Glen Isle Resort as a child in the 1970's. Her favorite memories are the chuckwagon dinners, horseback riding, evening dances, movie nights, and the endless activities that never grew old. Mary Ruth grew up, married Greg, and they started bringing their five boys to Glen Isle Resort. Mary Ruth and Greg were both professionals in education, and visited Glen Isle in the summer of 2016 after an Adele concert. They found their beloved Glen Isle was being sold. After much consideration, they found the idea of not pursuing a dream to be more terrifying than looking back and wondering "why" they didn't...so they began the magical journey to purchase, restore, and bring historical Glen Isle back to life.

Welcome to Camp Wilder! We are an off-the-beaten-path camp offering peace and solitude. The cabin is very special to my family and me. It was passed down as a mining claim from my grandmother who founded it in the '60s. The vision for the land was simply perfect. A small 10 x 10 cabin with the whole mountain to explore and whoever they wished to bring with them. The town of Nederland is 10 minutes down the road where you can fish at Baker Reservoir. Lots of fun little stores in town to keep the family busy. Wildlife is everywhere up by the cabin/campsite, always remember don't leave food lying around with lots of great things to look for around the magical town of Nederland. The cabin sleeps up to 8 with the futon downstairs being very comfortable and 3" foam upstairs in the loft for more sleeping area. Bring your sleeping bags to stay cozy at night. There are lanterns inside to light up your night with a wood stove to keep you warm at night. The ground around it is sloped so you may have a hard time setting up any tents around the cabin. The grocery store is in Nederland where you can buy food, Coleman green propane bottles, gallon jugs of water and wood. There is a 3 burner Coleman, stove to cook on with limited pots & pans as well as silverware. Road disclaimer, the road to the cabin is one lane dirt road. The drive up to the cabin is pretty good but the turn onto the single dirt road to the cabin has a slight dip, if you have a low-clearance car it may bottom out when you are turning so be careful. No Trailers. They will not be able to turn around once there. Recommend vehicles with AWD. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. Turn right @ yellow stakes go .4 miles. Park on the left. Hike down to the cabin between yellow stakes. We are @ 10,000 feet and it is a slight hike to the cabin. Go 3.4 miles up Caribou road. Turn right @ yellow stakes go .4 miles When leaving please make sure both door locks are locked, put the key in the lock box and mix the code for the next camper.

We offer a parking spot at night to have a quick safe place to stay. We do not allow the camper to stay multiple continuous days without leaving as you must leave during the day time, but are welcome to return at night. ---shower is only available if our office is open when you arrive----- ---We sometimes have Buses leaving or returning to our facility late at night, so just know you might hear a large bus pulling in late at night. ---PLEASE DO NOT block our Iron Gate with the H on it, or stick out into the entrance of the facility. If you stick out too far, you need to park North to South , which is parallel to the wood fence with the customer parking signs on it. You can block the handicap signs also if needed. You are also welcome to park in between the building and the front garden bed area as well if you prefer. The ground is not too level there, so you will need to level your rv. Here is a little bit about us! We rent motorhomes, camper vans, travel trailers, Paddleboards, and party buses! We are a perfect fit for hip camping because we are right across the street from Red Rocks Open Space, 5 min away from Garden of the Gods, and right off of HWY24 to head deeper into the Rockies! We are a full service RV facility, so we have mechanics on site if you need your rig looked at also! We are all camper van folks and know the struggle of not being able to find a safe spot.

Harmony Ridge Farm

We began this venture in 2012 by purchasing 35 acres overlooking a 7000 acre homestead. We are located on the beautiful eastern plains of Colorado southeast of Denver. Rolling hills dotted with Ponderosa pines that encourage wildlife to settle in. Pikes Peak, is to the west with Longs Peak and Mount Evans all visible on clear days. We have 35 acres and raise alpaca’s, chickens, cats and dogs as well as a large garden. We are totally off grid and enjoy life in the home my husband built using trees he cut down and milled on his saw mill. We lived on the property in a 400sq ft cottage while building the house. Wired for electricity (generator powered) but no running water or bathroom. We mostly cooked on a camp stove on the deck or on the wood burning stove in the cottage. About 4 years ago I read something about Hipcamp and we have been doing it ever since. We converted the cottage into a space for people to come and relax and enjoy the beauty and quiet of the prairie. We have a small young forest behind the cottage that has plenty of space for tent campers and a small 10x12’ 2 story mini-barn style cabin we camped in for the first couple of years before the cottage was moved out here. We offer this cabin as a hang out place for guests especially if the weather is bad. The west side opens onto a good sized deck. We added the Bijou Tree House to our options a couple years ago! It is a one room cabin (sleeps 2) with an incredible picture window that frames Pikes Peak beautifully. It is nestle among some old Ponderosa Pines; sports a cute tiny wood burning stove; bar table in front of the window; deck with seating and a propane camp chef 2 burner stove. A hammock is available for use and private outhouse just a few feet away. Across the gulley is the new Sawmill Cabin Jim built under the canopy of his sawmill. It is small, and can sleep 3 with a unique bunk over a queen sized platform bed. A small deck, fire pit all under a covered open space. More kids? Bring a tent! there’s room! We love sharing our story and our home and the beautiful place God has gifted us with people from all over the world and hope to host you as well. Come & relax, watch the bird, other animals; beautiful sunrises and sunsets; stars at night; visit our Farm Store!

The neighborhood is a quiet and charming area with the feel of a much more rural area. Each campsite features a flat turf pad camp area to set up table, chairs, etc and plenty of room to pull in your car, van, or other camping vehicle. We offer an on site toilet (port-a-potty), standard 110v (20 amp) electrical plugs at each site. Please note that this is a standard home outlet meant for things like charge phones. If your rig pulls more than 20 amps you are likely to trip the breaker, which is not accessible for reset by guests. There is access to fresh, potable water on the property, but not at each site, so plan to fill your tanks at the spigot with a hose. Wi-Fi is available at the campground. Nearby Erie and Lafayette are within biking distance. This campground is located in a residential neighborhood and we ask that campers are respectful of noise levels. No fires permitted. There is a barn located on the property within the campsite. The campsite is located behind a residential home, but separated by a 6 foot privacy fence.
