We have some amazing hiking trails and Arapahoe National Forest in our backyard! Maxwell National Trailhead is 9 mins from the property with free parking and free entrance. Cub Creek Trail Head is also around the corner. Evergreen Lake- 15 min car ride. Fishing, kayaking, picnic. Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre- 30 min car ride. Summer concerts, and movie nights at the park. Our property is at 10,000 feet in the foothills of the Rockies. The last mile is unpaved and has some steep inclines. We receive quite a lot of snow (Oct-May). We require that guests use AWD/4WD vehicles and winter tires to safely access our dome during snow months. Weekend Trip to A-Lodge Boulder

Deer came right down to the Lodge, plenty of creature comforts in the kitchen, jacuzzi tub, hot tub, with wifi and central heat. Everything was clean and nicely decorated. Trailhead on site for a good hike, or another right across the hwy. King Suite was spacious, check in was easy, be ready for an extra deposit fee.

Our stay at this Hipcamp site was peaceful, scenic, and exactly what we were hoping for. Ernest was friendly and communicative, and the igloo was clean with plenty of space and privacy. We loved sitting by the mini fireplace and hot tub at night under a sky full of stars. Waking up to birdsong and fresh mountain air was also a great addition. Everything felt thoughtfully cared for and simple in the best way no distractions, just a chance to slow down and reconnect. I’d highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a relaxing, off-the-grid getaway.

What a magical, well cared for place. It was clear the owners thought of every special touch. We stayed in the big cabin on the property. Ernest's A-frame was excellent! Very clean, comfortable, and well appointed! In addition to the comfortable beds, we enjoyed the projector with extremely vibrant colors, as well as we enjoyed the hot tub. I would recommend this place to others in a heartbeat!

3 nights at Aspen Forest in Evergreen Colorado

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the A frame cabin. The modern and minimalist design was really comfy- we felt right at home. There are many great places to explore and hike nearby. We enjoyed starting and ending our days appreciating the nature views in the living room. The fall was a beautiful time of year to visit and Ernest was a great host!

We loved spending the weekend on this property. It was exactly as pictured and was clean and comfortable. The amenities (hot tub, projector, fire pit) were also great. Hoping I can come back someday! (As a note, the cabin and the dome also on this property are very near by so I didn’t feel secluded, but I generally felt we had the privacy we needed)

I stayed in the dome and it was an amazing experience. The aspen forest outside is beautiful and peaceful, and there is plenty of privacy. If you’re in Denver looking for a short escape close by, it would be hard to beat Ernest’s place.

This a frame was the perfect weekend get away. It’s spacious, comfortable, clean, and cozy. We loved the hot tub, pizza oven, and projector screen. All the amenities you would need to stay in and relax. The property itself is well maintained and even though there are other stays there too it still feels private and quiet.

We really liked the property. Beds were clean and cozy. The lodge was well equipped and very cute. Loved the sauna. At night we were treated impromptu Bluegrass players. Magical!
