Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
This small property is nestled on a serene prairie surrounded by mountains with incredible views of Crystola Valley and Tava Kaavi - Sun Mountain (Pikes Peak). This special place offers access to a unique blend of fishing, hiking, and off-roading. After a day filled with outdoor pursuits, guests can unwind while enjoying the crisp mountain air and the soothing sounds of nature. As the sun sets, the star-studded sky becomes a breathtaking spectacle, far removed from the bright lights of the city. Only registered guests are allowed on the property to ensure everyone’s safety and privacy. Well water is available at no charge, as long as the temperature is above 40. Well water is for showering or cleaning only- not drinkable. There are no restrooms or dumping. With flat land and easy access, both RVs and tents are welcome. The site is close to W Hwy 24 for easy access to all the area has to offer. Due to the proximity to W Hwy 24 there is road noise. NO DUMPING AVAILABLE. 20 AMP electric only. The hosts, Crystal, Abraham, and their dogs, reside on the property in a tiny 1960's cabin. They are happy to share with you the local eateries, bars, and favorite hiking places. Nearby Attractions: The North Pole, Pikes Peak, Colorado Springs, Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs, the Cog Railway, Manitou Incline, Sun Water Spa, Woodland Park, Florissant Fossil Beds, Green Mountain Falls with its world class hiking and so much more.

Aspen Grove Tent Site: Nestled beneath a tranquil grove of quaking Aspen trees, our tent-only site offers a slice of mountain serenity. You’ll feel tucked into nature, yet close enough for convenience—our tiny cottage and neighboring RV sites are nearby. What You’ll Love: Scenic Aspens & Vistas: Camp among a cluster of graceful Aspens with picture-perfect mountain panoramas. Cozy Gatherings: Use our propane firepit (available for a small propane fee) to roast marshmallows, share stories, or simply unwind under starry skies. Casual Games: When the sun’s out, challenge fellow campers to a round of cornhole—first-come, first-served. Pure Tent Camping: No hookups, no crowds—just your tent, the trees, and the open sky. Details & Amenities: Site Type: Tent-only camping (up to 4 persons) Facilities: None on-site Firepit: Propane firepit (propane provided for a fee) Recreation: Cornhole boards available—weather permitting Guest Access & Guidelines: Registered Guests Only: Access is limited to Hipcamp guests; unregistered visitors will be considered trespassers. Shared Property: You may hear or see other RV guests and our cottage occupants—this is not a fully private setting. Quiet Hours: Please observe quiet hours from 10 PM to 7 AM to respect everyone’s rest. Location Aspen Grove is a peaceful basecamp for hiking, wildlife spotting, photography, and stargazing. Electrical 20 AMP ONLY. No DUMPING. Old Crystola Mill is located next to the road for easy access in and out for RVs, Trailers, etc. If you need your water tank refilled during your stay, just let us know, as the hose is not connected for an ongoing water supply (no water available if temps are below 40 degrees). The water is for showering or cleaning only- not potable. Electric (20 AMP ONLY!) please let us know prior to arrival if you need electric. NO DUMPING AVAILABLE! Generators are allowed for short periods of time. Guests can enjoy scenic mountain views, including Tava Kaavi (Pike's Peak), and may share the property with other visitors staying nearby, as well as with the owners who reside on the property. Although not private, this setup fosters a friendly, communal atmosphere. There are only 2 sites so you are not right on top of each other. THIS IS NOT A CAMPGROUND. In addition to the parking space, guests have access to a cozy, seasonal, outdoor firepit, and two chairs, making a welcoming space to relax, unwind, and enjoy the mountain views. Please provide your own propane tank or we can provide one for a fee. Only registered guests are allowed on the property to ensure everyone’s safety and privacy. Pets are welcome to join you! Please ensure they are kept on a leash at all times and cleaned up after. There is a $5 fee per pet, per day, which can be paid via Hipcamp before arrival or cash upon arrival. Note that we have friendly pets and native wildlife roaming the property, so we ask that only non-aggressive pets visit our property. Quiet and nice space to park. Dogs had a nice green yard to roam in on leash. Was perfect for what we needed. Host very responsive.
