Your glamping site “Hug a Bear” is romantically lit at night time and artistically decorated. The tent is waterproof and covered by a carport. The artwork (by Sabin, your host) covering the tent was exhibited at the McNichols Civic Center Building Downtown Denver a few years ago. Now it is enveloping your restful night under the starry sky of Colorado. The space offers you a coffee maker, a water kettle, water dispenser, BBQ and electricity. You will enjoy the delightful back side view of the famous Hogback mountain.
Just a few steps away from your campsite you will find our bath house with a clean portable toilet, hot shower and hand sink. You also will find a fridge inside, where you can keep your refreshments and your food fresh and cool. It is entirely made from reclaimed materials and it adds glamor and luxury to your glamping experience! To minimize our environmental impact, we use a greywater system. The liquid soap provided is a diluted, biodegradable formula that nourishes our garden as it drains. While it may feel lighter than conventional soap, rest assured it's gentle on both your skin and the environment.
We do our best to provide many of the comforts of a home for your "glamping" experience but make sure you are prepared to stay in the great outdoors which includes bugs and it is still camping. If you are afraid of bugs or occasional spiders this might not be for you. We cannot control the changes that both weather and the surrounding environment may cause. Although we provided an extra blanket and the tent has mosquito nets, we encourage bringing bug spray, warm clothes, flash lights, extra drinking water and other items you might need to make your stay pleasant. Please be aware of the weather and plan to dress accordingly. The bed is equipped with a heated mattress bed.

Welcome to our charming 2-acre meadow nestled in East Boulder. Just minutes from town - near bike trails, shops and restaurants. A great pitstop on your way to or from the mountains - or base camp for the adventures in Front Range. We aren't fancy, but we are convenient, cozy and safe. Gate code will be provided 48 hours before arrival.
We have spots in the wide open meadow for Tents, Motorhomes, Vans, Trailers, and Rooftop setups. The grounds are a bit sloped but we've got leveling boards (please leave them behind).
We've got Boulder's best eggs, a few walking paths through tall wild grasses, a campfire ring, solar shower, small sink, gas grill, and a lovely porta-jon that’s cleaned weekly.
We can handle RVs up to 45 feet - truck and trailer. It’s a big field, but a narrow, winding and steep gravel ramp to get in and out.
We have a community fire pit with free burn wood, though the big logs are few and far between; your own firewood is recommended - as well as an ax or saw. If it's windy, please skip the fire... the BFD is very strict about this!!
We have well water feeding a solar shower (only hot when the sun shines) and sink (non potable unless you have a filter).
We have a wading / dog pool continually refreshed from the creek. It’s a saving grace in the summertime.
Please help yourself to eggs up at the coop - look for the Venmo QR. The chickens free range during the day, so please MIND YOUR DOG.

Relax on the couch or outside in your private sitting area that looks into the national forest. Electricity, wi-fi, and heat included. The tiny house can sleep 4, although may be better suited to 2 if you don't want to be rubbing elbows.
The Property:
The tiny house is parked nearby the main house on the property where we live. We are at the dead end of the road, and the property abuts National Forest with trails for miles and incredible views of nearby peaks. We have two dogs who you may hear occasionally, but who live in their own fenced yard attached to the main house. Though we live on the property, the tiny house is your own private space and we'll respect your privacy during your stay. Neighboring houses are visible from the property in one direction. The other direction all that can be seen is trees, mountains and sky. There is space to pitch a tent next to the tiny house for additional hipcampers.
Please note, we sit at about 8600' elevation which means in the summer you can enjoy a good 10-15 degree temperature drop from the flatlands. Ahhh.
In the winter, it will also typically be colder and snowier.
Be prepared for the altitude and be sure to hydrate (and consider drinking less alcohol than you normally tolerate) so you can remain healthy and enjoy your stay.

We camped at Wide Awake Ranch for the first time this weekend and will definitely be back. The hosts Sal and Simmons were so kind and helped make our trip easy and enjoyable.
It was so beautiful and private in the valley. The kids loved paddle boarding, playing in the water and exploring. We also did the soaking tub and cold plunge and all wanted to do it again.

It was nice they had paddle boards to loan us and they even loaned us an extra tent since we forgot ours! Sal and Simmons were super nice hosts and helped us with everything we needed. Very clean portapotties too. Great spot for families and not too far from Denver.

Great last minute getaway! Close to Denver/Boulder but you wouldn’t know it. Host was warm and welcoming, making sure we found our site and checked in a couple times to make sure we were settled. Recent storms caused the pond to be muddy and the road to be more bumpy than normal - but as we say here, we needed the rain and we knew ahead of time so we were completely prepared.

This place had just about everything we traveled to CO for. So much so, we barely ventured off the property! The hosts were very kind and helpful. Had an issue with some other campers not having camping courtesy, and the hosts allowed us to relocate to a spot that made up for it ten fold! Not a peep the next night, which showed the host addressed with them. Their water they sell is amazing and some of the best I've ever had. Never had to wait long for paddleboards as everybody kindly takes turns. Hiking paths throughout making it fun to just get up and go.
There's still so many things that make this place a hidden gem and if you're interested, just do it! You won't regret it!

Our family loved camping at Wideawake Ranch. We stayed at campsite number #1 and got to be right next to the water during our two-day camping trip. Matt and Gwen are fabulous hosts; they are professional, friendly, and easy to communicate with. There are multiple port-a-Potties around the Ranch, and they were super clean.
10/10 would recommend this spot to families.

Bonnie was a wonderful host! She took the time to come over and share the history of the property, which made our stay even more enjoyable. She was incredibly accommodating and made us feel very welcome. The campsite was level, easy to find, and extremely peaceful and quiet. We had a great stay and would absolutely recommend this site to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway. Great site and an even better host!

Our family and pup loved this location! The paddleboarding was so fun, the premium tent was perfect and the hosts were very friendly and accommodating. We had a visit from a moose, and enjoyed the surrounding areas too! Highly recommend!

Beautiful views! Wide Awake was very accommodating when we asked if we could switch sites. We had a great time and even got to see a beaver and two moose right there in camp! Seriously awesome!

The drive via the dirt road was very interesting... We have a Gv80 pulling a TAB400, but it was still quite bumpy. However... The space was beautifully located directly on the pond. Saw a beaver and an Elk. Thanks for gosting

This land is magical and in a picture perfect location. If you’re going to enjoy Red Rocks Amphitheatre and don’t want the commute - this is your place!
We took our E-bikes up to the show and back - it was perfect! Just be aware when riding back at night
The bathroom is crafted nicely with unique art and fixtures - Having the shower amenity was extremely helpful in the summer time .There is a fridge with designated spots to hold a few items. The bathroom is a clean outhouse. They even provide a few things like tampons, sunscreen, and bug spray in case you forgot.
For camping - some notes for future campers -
Make sure to bring your own water and bucket to do dishes after you cook
Both campsites are exposed to the sun (no shade) so I would definitely bring a pop up
Wind gets pretty bad so make sure to secure everything before leaving camp
We absolutely loved and enjoyed our time and can’t wait to come back to visit!
