The mineral springs and trails are open to the public during the daytime. We also host with WWOOF, we have many cultural exchange volunteers helping us bring life back to this historic land building an organic farm and sustainable community. Campground is yours to book but is also surrounded by National Forest Land which belongs to everyone. Wake up to birds chirping then a 10 min hike to visit the Cold mineral springs bubbling out of the mountainside, attracting many types of wildlife along with people seeking out the healing properties of the sulfur scented spring water.
Sacred healing mineral spring "Deadshot" named by the native peoples for its ability to cure all ailments with 'one shot'. Nipisum or 'health water' was later bottled by the California Medicinal Springs Co. after the land was homesteaded in 1886. This historic retreat rests at the foot of lower Chanchelulla 'black rock' Mountain.

On the property itself, there are three year-round flowing creeks.
Lots of Deer on the property since we don’t hunt, and so they come on our land as a little sanctuary. Beautiful view of the Shasta area mountains. Multiple places to hike and find water holes.
There is Poison Oak on the property; please be mindful. There are bears, but they will normally stay away from the campsite. Please put your food away to prevent wildlife from coming into your camp. There are fish in the Sacramento River that can be fished for. This is the wilderness; there are mosquitoes, flies, and other bugs. Please bring bug spray.

This park gets its rather self-descriptive name from the six beautiful rivers that flow through its borders, but don’t the name fool you. There is a lot more than just rivers to check out here. More than a million rambling acres of forest take you through foggy and mystical redwood landscapes. Further inland, miles of towering Douglas firs, glacial peaks, and hidden pools just wait to be discovered. Of course, the rivers are the main attraction. You can’t go two feet without tripping over a perfect swimming hole. After your dip, there are plenty of warm rocks to lay out on. The campsite is approximately 3 miles from the river, and it is connected to a creek that flows into the river. These creeks run year-round and are perfect for taking a dip! This is a 253 Acre property near the Sacramento River that flows through the area of Lakehead near Redding and Shasta Lake. There are a couple of really good fishing spots along the river. On the property itself, there are three year-round flowing creeks.
Lots of Deer on the property since we don’t hunt, and so they come on our land as a little sanctuary. Beautiful view of the Shasta area mountains. Multiple places to hike and find water holes.
There is Poison Oak on the property; please be mindful. There are bears, but they will normally stay away from the campsite. Please put your food away to prevent wildlife from coming into your camp. There are fish in the Sacramento River that can be fished for. This is the wilderness; there are mosquitoes, flies, and other bugs. Please bring bug spray.

Great spot that was sheltered enough from the highway that we got a great night's sleep. Also, I had called, didn't leave a message, and got a callback from Tammy in under 10 minutes. We had already driven to another place but went back to Wonderland mostly because of noise concerns. No regrets, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Heated bathrooms were a nice touch!

I had an incredible stay at this riverfront camp. The property itself is beautiful, peaceful, clean, and right on the water. Michael, the host, was extremely hospitable and kind. You can tell he truly cares about the land and the people who come to enjoy it.
Waking up to the sound of the Trinity and being able to step out and swing flies right from camp was unreal. I managed to bring a few nice steelhead to the net without ever having to leave the property. If you’re a fisherman, this place is gold. If you’re a family looking for a quiet place to relax, swim, explore, and enjoy the outdoors, it’s perfect for you too.
Highly recommend. I’ll be back.

Every time I come back here I fall in love even more with the area. Shannon and Tim go above and beyond as hosts. They always make me feel safe and informed. The colors right now are magical. Listening to the leaves falling on my tent is indescribable! The grass is green and the stars were beautiful. Saw the most amazing shooting star. This was the perfect place to stop over on our trip down to Yosemite. Very close the highway, easy to find, and our spot was pretty level.
The hosts could not have been nicer! Johnathan and Wes truly cared that we were enjoying our stay and made sure that we had everything we needed to make us comfortable.
The majority of the park is full-time residents, however we felt safe and it was very quiet. We would stay here again if passing through the area.
Bonus: the laundry room was very clean and the washer/dryer actually worked very well! No extra time needed for our load of towels - which is always an awesome surprise!

Tent camping at #131 was great. Creek provided cool breezes in the Redding heat. Laundry facilities were clean and bathroom and showers were also well maintained. Vicki was helpful with my user errors with registration on line. I look forward to many more camps here.
