We are happy to chat or leave you be, just let us know what your needs are. If you’re looking for a more isolated spot, see the listings for 1 Pine or 2 Pine. The 2nd area is “1 Pine” accessed by our second driveway that is 100 yards down the road from the farm. The driveway is kind of rough but definitely manageable with a truck, SUV or sedan if you’re willing to go for it. The drive goes up a couple hundred yards to the hilltop where there is a clearing and, you guessed it, 1 pine tree. From the back of the clearing there is a trail that leads you to 2 Pine, which is a walk that takes just a few minutes. 2 Pine is walk-in only but has great views of the sunset and is totally secluded and private and would be a good spot to either bring some friends for a little sunset party or for someone who wants to seriously unplug. There are plenty of flat spots to pitch a tent. **if you are a teacher or Pacific Crest Trail hiker let us know! We are happy to offer a discount :)

Our grassy lawn tent area is inaccessible to vehicles and RVs. Our parking area is adjacent to the highway and may not be what rooftop and van/rv campers are expecting in terms of a peaceful camping experience. Weekend Trip to Love Creek Retreat

This is a truly magical camping spot! Desiree has created a special spot. Our tent was private and cozy and had comfy seating right outside. The sweet seating spots sprinkled throughout the property meant that we had so many options for lounging and relaxing, reading and playing games. The location was incredibly quiet, with only the bubbling creek in the background. And Desiree was an amazing host, giving us a tour, answering any questions, providing lots of recommendations for activities and food in the neighboring towns. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate an anniversary, and will definitely be back. Thank you!

From the moment Bobby greets you after you turn into the gate entrance - it feels like you are driving up a road that could lead anywhere. Once you hit the apex of the hill, you see what the ongoing passion he has for what he is still building to be better. This was our first time “glamping” and to be honest I don’t know if anything could be better than what he has created! The most amazing thing I thought was the open kitchen right next to the fire pit which is no less than another 20 steps to your cabin where it can fit up to 4. Don’t expect a hotel room because at the end of the day you’re still in the woods - but if you don’t want to sleep in a 4 person tent it’s apples to oranges. If you love privacy and getting away from the city - this is it! While I might not know how much to compare to other glamp sites - this felt more like you are entering his home which he built himself and is STILL making upgrading! Full outdoor kitchen with burners, large prep area, dining area separate from the fire pit which you can also cook on, separate bar top, lounge area, hot tub, detailed decor, and a type of isolation that a get away deserves. We were looking for “Dog Friendly” glamp spots and must’ve gotten so lucky that from all the choices we picked SAGE. If you love dogs, have a dog, or want to meet the friendliest good boy - this is an off leash location which makes it feel like you are staying with a friend. Needless to say we cant wait to go back!

Weekend Trip to Love Creek Retreat

The Love Creek Retreat is everything the title stands for. It was romantic, relaxing, gorgeous, and comfortable. My husband and I stayed for only one night in the trailer and we wished we could've stayed longer. The host was gracious, kind, and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and exceeded all expectations. We can't wait to go back.

My pups and I were warmly welcomed as soon as we arrived, and we immediately felt so comfortable and at ease. The place was absolutely adorable and had such a cozy, home-like feel. We truly felt right at home! The whole experience was wonderful, and we would definitely come back again. Highly recommend!

We really enjoyed staying at the place. Jeremy was very communicative. Dogs were very friendly. Really enjoyed the kayaking. The only thing is that the walk to the lake is very steep so be prepared for some work out.

Weekend Trip to Love Creek Retreat

We had such a lovely weekend at Fergie! The property has so many little spots where you can tuck yourself away and relax, which made the whole place feel peaceful and private. The daybed was incredibly comfortable, and one of our favorite spots was the swing under the bridge. Sitting there together with our feet in the water was unexpectedly romantic and such a perfect way to slow down. Fergie, the trailer, is tucked into her own private little space and felt like a true getaway. We purchased the upgraded package, which included a tub of fresh towels and extra blankets, and it was absolutely worth it. Those little comforts made the stay feel extra cozy while still keeping the rustic camping experience we wanted. The location is also fantastic. Murphy is just down the road if you want restaurants or a lively evening out, and we got up early one morning and went to Natural Bridges, where we hiked down and swam through the cave. Such a fun experience! The entire weekend was peaceful, romantic, and exactly the little escape we were hoping for. We would absolutely stay here again.

1 night at Love Creek Retreat

Love Creek Retreat is something every 20-something should experience! At 23, so much of our lives revolve around phones, social media and the digital world. Spending an evening here gave us the chance to disconnect from everything else and reconnect with each other. The property is absolutely enchanting—towering trees, a beautiful creek, winding wooded paths and little surprises around every corner. We cooked outside, explored, relaxed in the hanging chairs and sat with our feet in the creek. It felt like escaping into another world. Our host, Serenity, was outstanding. Her attention to detail is unsurpassed, and you can feel the thought and care she has put into the entire experience. We also highly recommend adding the towel and linen crate—it made glamping incredibly easy because we barely had to pack anything. We left relaxed, happy and already wanting to return. This was our first glamping experience. I loved the whole package complete with a vineyard tour plus wine and cider tasting in the evening and homegrown coffee in the morning. We enjoyed the peaceful scenery and quiet camping site. Very nice time with our pup.

2 nights at Treehouse Geodome In The Sierras

My 5 yr old and I stayed in Joshua’s tent and had wonderful time. The tent is much bigger than the pictures look and even tho it was 100 degrees outside it ended up being very comfy inside. Slept soundly both nights. We loved meeting the goats and llamas - very tranquil and easy around little ones. With the hot weather we were even invited to use the pool - so generous!! I cooked couple of dinners in the out door kitchen and was grateful for the fridge. We visited local caves, historic gold rush towns of Murphys and Columbia, swimming hole, and Calavera Big Trees - all within 15-45 min from the HipCamp site. Also, the local grocery/market has everything you’ll need for food or otherwise. Definitely considering bringing the rest of the family for a future visit. The hosts were very generous and timely with communication, I highly recommend it for a comfy & rural feel in Gold Country

1 night at Cosumnes River Somerset Camp

This place is INCREDIBLE!!! What a relief to get away from the constant noise/stress/stimuli and allow my soul to rest for a bit amongst the towering oaks, soothing sounds of the babbling river, and billions of stars at night! We so needed this! Thank you Noleen and team for the much needed escape. And the bed in the trailer is so comfy! There’s like a foam mattress that makes it better than my own bed at home! Our 9 year old daughter was able to sleep on the bunk inside and our 7 year old daughter enjoyed her crack at the foot of the bed, but she may be an anomaly…! They slept out in a tent the first night but loved the trailer so much they crashed with us the second. This place is so unreal and I’ve been telling everyone I know not to waste another moment at a public campground because this is where true restoration can happen! Can’t wait to go back!

Weekend Trip to The Painted Lake

What a spot for animal lovers, sunrise seekers, and water sports of all kinds. We have stayed here once in December and now in July. Both times were comfortable and relaxing. The AC unit is a must because it was hot! The lake water was 83 degrees and Jeremy provides floaties, and kayaks. The hike down and especially back up is strenuous and in the heat it was a lot. So just don't bring much down to the lake is the solution. Jeremy has thought of everything when it comes to convenience and comfort. There is a full refrigerator and freezer right by the cabin and we never had to buy ice. There is a clean porta potty for each cabin site too. We had privacy, a gas grill, a working sink and shower at our site. There is electricity inside and a very comfy bed and plenty of pillows. The view from the deck is so picturesque and relaxing. The horses, goats, dogs and chickens are free to roam the property and are so fun to interact with. The town of Murphys is a close drive with lots of restaurants and shops, the Mercer Caverns etc.
