The Airstream has one King bed with a super comfy mattress and the dinette turns in to an additional King sleeping space.
If you want a true immersive, farm experience, ask about our add-on experiences including grooming the animals, helping at feed time, and cleaning their pens! There's plenty of great space to ride your bikes, and it's proven to be a hit with the kiddos!
The Airstream is new to the ranch and is a work in progress, but you'll love the charm of hanging out in a very cool vintage trailer. We'll soon be adding some layers of paint, shine, and lots of love, so make sure to follow our progress in fixing the ole girl up!
Our location is also unique because we are fully fenced in and have a separate turn out space for your horses (check add-ons for camping with your horse). We also have a small 1954 Camper ("Lucy") that can act as a second bedroom for more sleeping space (check for add-on).
**WHEELCHAIR ACCESS: We can provide a ramp for the Airstream for accessibility, though please be aware the camper is small, likely not wide enough for a standard wheelchair, and the bathroom is also small and doesn't meet ADA standards. Please ask if you have questions?!

The sweet Aussie poked his head in our tent to say "you good?" haha It was so cute and they were extremely friendly and social! The black kitten stayed at our camp all night and cuddled on our laps by the fire. It was such a lovely experience. For those who are coming to Temecula for horse shows, we also have a large barn with bedded stalls and turnouts (for an additional fee). There are designated horse trails right outside our gates which will even take you to Galway Downs and California Ranch Company. If you're into golf, you can enjoy Temecula's 7 PGA golf courses or Pechanga Casino which are also within a short driving distance to the farm. If horses or golf isn't your thing, you can visit Temecula Valley wineries which are all ~ 1/2-3.8 miles of the cottage gates. The wineries are not within walking distance of each other, UBER is only too happy to come here and pick you up! If you're not interested in any activities and simply want a "staycation," you can hang out here where you're welcomed to walk around the farm and interact with the animals. Splitrock Farm and Retreat started in January 2021 after a global search of a place to set roots, live off the land, and create an amazing place for recreation, relaxation, and rejuvenation.
Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers.
Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 150+ foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. Freckled throughout the hillsides are thousands of humongous granite boulders, offering a prehistoric feel to the landscape. Above all, Splitrock offers unrivaled views. Over 40 miles of coastline includes views to Point Loma, the Carlsbad power station, and the Pendleton Hospital. Join the royal court and stay in our 1975 Airstream Sovereign Land Yacht! Immerse yourself in a budding rescue ranch with pot belly pigs, mini horse, and mini donkey, or take a romp on our 5 acres with lots of hidden gems to discover, or explore the many hiking trails nearby (Mt. Woodson, Potato Chip Rock, Iron Mountain). You also have access to a relaxing hot tub/jacuzzi & brand new 300sf deck.
The Airstream has one King bed with a super comfy mattress and the dinette turns in to an additional King sleeping space.
If you want a true immersive, farm experience, ask about our add-on experiences including grooming the animals, helping at feed time, and cleaning their pens! There's plenty of great space to ride your bikes, and it's proven to be a hit with the kiddos!
The Airstream is new to the ranch and is a work in progress, but you'll love the charm of hanging out in a very cool vintage trailer. We'll soon be adding some layers of paint, shine, and lots of love, so make sure to follow our progress in fixing the ole girl up!
Our location is also unique because we are fully fenced in and have a separate turn out space for your horses (check add-ons for camping with your horse). We also have a small 1954 Camper ("Lucy") that can act as a second bedroom for more sleeping space (check for add-on).
**WHEELCHAIR ACCESS: We can provide a ramp for the Airstream for accessibility, though please be aware the camper is small, likely not wide enough for a standard wheelchair, and the bathroom is also small and doesn't meet ADA standards. Please ask if you have questions?!

Saddle Up Ranch is a horse rescue that is ever growing. We have over 180 trees on the property (mostly beautiful flowing California Pepper Trees) and have gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains and horse pastures.We offer horseback riding, goat yoga, and goat milking. You can also volunteer and help care for the animals while you are here by feeding, grooming or simply petting them.
TJ, our owner, is working her way through the race track. Our campsites are managed by Tony. He works closely with guests to expand our campsites. TJ and many of the guides volunteer hard hours to rehabilitate the horse and give them a good home. You should see how the animals flock to TJ. The sweet Aussie poked his head in our tent to say "you good?" haha It was so cute and they were extremely friendly and social! The black kitten stayed at our camp all night and cuddled on our laps by the fire. It was such a lovely experience. We purchased Namaste Farms in 1997 when I was showing reined cowhorses as well as raising thoroughbred racehorses. In 2005, I purchased my first wool sheep and fell in love. Today, Namaste Farms is recognized around the globe for raising high quality wool producing sheep. For those who are coming to Temecula for horse shows, we also have a large barn with bedded stalls and turnouts (for an additional fee). There are designated horse trails right outside our gates which will even take you to Galway Downs and California Ranch Company. If you're into golf, you can enjoy Temecula's 7 PGA golf courses or Pechanga Casino which are also within a short driving distance to the farm. If horses or golf isn't your thing, you can visit Temecula Valley wineries which are all ~ 1/2-3.8 miles of the cottage gates. The wineries are not within walking distance of each other, UBER is only too happy to come here and pick you up! If you're not interested in any activities and simply want a "staycation," you can hang out here where you're welcomed to walk around the farm and interact with the animals. Splitrock Farm and Retreat started in January 2021 after a global search of a place to set roots, live off the land, and create an amazing place for recreation, relaxation, and rejuvenation.
Splitrock was part of a 160-acre avocado farm that prospered from 1970 to 2017, generating over 1million pounds of avocados per year until the previous owners switched off the water in 2017. Ben purchased 101 acres in 2021 with plans to harvest the dead avocado trees for firewood and replant with organic, sustainable crops such as grapes, citrus trees, and flowers.
Splitrock's attraction comes from its unique groves, magnificent granite boulders, and sweeping vistas. Mixed within the avocado groves are several ancient groves and solitary trees that include 150+ foot tall pines, hundreds of old oaks, and soaring palms. Freckled throughout the hillsides are thousands of humongous granite boulders, offering a prehistoric feel to the landscape. Above all, Splitrock offers unrivaled views. Over 40 miles of coastline includes views to Point Loma, the Carlsbad power station, and the Pendleton Hospital. To the northeast are views of near 11K foot snowy peaks of San Jacinto and San Gorgonio, with rolling hills of De Luz and Fallbrook in the foreground.

We had an absolutely fantastic weekend getaway at Thundering Hawk Retreat! Lance is an incredibly thoughtful and communicative host. He checked in to make sure we had everything we needed and even reminded us to catch the stunning sunset. The campsite was clean, peaceful, and spacious enough to easily accommodate our family and our Cybertruck setup. One of the biggest highlights was how dog-friendly the place is. Lance's sweet dogs, Lulu and Paula, came over to greet us and quickly made friends with our Akita, Mochi. It was the perfect, relaxing outdoor experience for the whole family. Highly recommend and we would love to come back!

We had a great time at this site! Buggy but that’s to be expected, better with campfire smoke. The views were unbeatable and we made friends with the farm dogs and kitty. Loved getting to say hi to the other farm animals as well. Fair warning - the outhouse facility was quite rustic. I remembered seeing « flush toilets » on the listing but when we asked where restrooms were, were only pointed to the outhouses. Far from a dealbreaker, just a bit of a change from what we expected. Overall an amazing site and would recommend!

I loved my stay at nopalito farms! I met Jacob who was working on the farms and he was so nice and communicative. Our little cabin was amazing and it had everything we needed and more. I want to come back during the summer it was such a nice little get away from the city. I really liked it here because it was in between camping and glamping, it was a good medium. I really want to come back when all the trees have fruit in them.

Nice low key camping, we camped in site #2 under trees and close to a few other camping spots. Greeted by the super friendly dogs, very cool (unless you’re not a dog person, then this isn’t the place for you). The dogs are cool, we enjoyed interacting with them and they loved the attention. We even had one of the dogs sleeping outside our van at night guarding us.

Weekend Trip to Campo Nopalito
We normally go tent camping (a lot of times, at more primitive sites), but decided to give “glamping” a go to celebrate a birthday. Not gonna lie, it was pretty nice having amenities like flushing toilets, an outdoor shower, and an outdoor kitchen (complete with a pizza oven)!
The little cabin was cute and cozy and I loved that the wall/roof just opens up to the fresh air - we even slept with it kept open.
They are view of the other cabins but it wasn’t that big of a deal and the other camps we encountered were very nice. They have an adorable farm doggo, Gertie, who would make her rounds each morning to say hi and come in for pets and skritches.
The farm owner/host, Jacob, was super friendly and helpful and was always responsive to all of our questions/needs. We brought ingredients to make pizza in their pizza oven so Jacob set it up for us, gave us instructions/tips, and just let us try out it for ourselves which was so fun. We messed up the first one but the others turned out great! Just beware that the oven will take about 1.5 hours to heat up so plan for that.
We had a great time at Campo Nopalito… It was a peaceful little retreat and we will be back!
