It's a working ranch with tree farms, animals, hydroelectric power, sawmill, gardens, orchards, creeks, springs, trails, and our camp alongside Kosk Creek.
We're 54 miles from Redding off of 299E, (about 1-1/2 hour drive). DO NOT TAKE ROAD 11 FROM THE NORTH, IT IS CLOSED! PIease try to ignore the "car art" in the Pit River Tribe's Rancheria as you're coming here. Drive right through it, it's no reflection on us. The last mile or so of the road here can be pretty rough, but on arrival, you'll know it's worth the trip!
No Cell phone service available here, so it's the perfect opportunity to unplug. We do have a land line up at the house in case of an emergency. Also, if you really need it, WiFi is available at the house.

The Maple Creek Ranch and Tree Farm has been family owned and operated since 1934. The patriarch of the family, whose family had moved here from Denmark, had a great love of the forest and trains. The property was one of the first certified tree farms in California with the goal of nurturing a healthy forest. In the 1960’s, a mile of railroad tracks was laid and the whistle of a small, steam engine train could be heard throughout the community. Local residents and kids were treated to free train rides and special events for many years.
There is a natural spring with a small creek that supplies the ponds with fresh water year around. There is also a small canyon on the property with a larger stream called Mud Creek. The land is rich in Indian history and there a artifacts and other signs on the Indians presence.
The Cohasset area is relatively unknown. 15 miles from our property is Deer Creek and the Lasson National Forest is about a 2 hour drive north.
While staying with us you can pitch your tent on our private 500 acres. We have 2 primitive camping spots on our property. Each spot has a picnic table and
fire pit. There is a flush toilet shared for both camp sites. * During freezing weather the toilets may be closed so they don’t freeze! Please check before booking
*The spots are spread out to ensure privacy. Our property is surrounded by the forest and is loaded with deer, squirrels, turkeys and other forest animals. We have numerous walking trails, a fresh water pond for fishing and swimming. Please notify us if you have an RV.
Site 1 is best for RV's. Site 2 can accommodate smaller RV's.

The campsite is approximately 3 miles from the river, and it is connected to a creek that flows into the river. These creeks run year-round and are perfect for taking a dip! This is a 253 Acre property near the Sacramento River that flows through the area of Lakehead near Redding and Shasta Lake. There are a couple of really good fishing spots along the river. On the property itself, there are three year-round flowing creeks.
Lots of Deer on the property since we don’t hunt, and so they come on our land as a little sanctuary. Beautiful view of the Shasta area mountains. Multiple places to hike and find water holes.
There is Poison Oak on the property; please be mindful. There are bears, but they will normally stay away from the campsite. Please put your food away to prevent wildlife from coming into your camp. There are fish in the Sacramento River that can be fished for. This is the wilderness; there are mosquitoes, flies, and other bugs. Please bring bug spray.

Getting There
Property is located ~9 miles down a dirt road in the bottom of a canyon with the North Fork of the Feather River at the bottom of it. Normal sedans should be OK getting down to the property if you drive slowly and are careful. Travel trailers are also fine but you should be cautious taking anything larger than 30 feet. Once you start down the road there is no place to turn around until you are at the bottom of the canyon.

The Maple Creek Ranch and Tree Farm has been family owned and operated since 1934. The patriarch of the family, whose family had moved here from Denmark, had a great love of the forest and trains. The property was one of the first certified tree farms in California with the goal of nurturing a healthy forest. In the 1960’s, a mile of railroad tracks was laid and the whistle of a small, steam engine train could be heard throughout the community. Local residents and kids were treated to free train rides and special events for many years.
There is a natural spring with a small creek that supplies the ponds with fresh water year around. There is also a small canyon on the property with a larger stream called Mud Creek. The land is rich in Indian history and there a artifacts and other signs on the Indians presence.
The Cohasset area is relatively unknown. 15 miles from our property is Deer Creek and the Lasson National Forest is about a 2 hour drive north.
While staying with us you can pitch your tent on our private 500 acres. We have 2 primitive camping spots on our property. Each spot has a picnic table and
fire pit. There is a flush toilet shared for both camp sites. * During freezing weather the toilets may be closed so they don’t freeze! Please check before booking
*The spots are spread out to ensure privacy. Our property is surrounded by the forest and is loaded with deer, squirrels, turkeys and other forest animals. We have numerous walking trails, a fresh water pond for fishing and swimming. Please notify us if you have an RV.
Site 1 is best for RV's. Site 2 can accommodate smaller RV's.

Our ranch was once a working alpaca ranch. We are now retired and still have our two guardian llamas and a flock of chickens.
It is quiet out here—well, except for the cows mooing, roosters crowing, hawks calling, and all the sounds of abundant wildlife, including wild pigs, turkeys, jackrabbits, foxes, raccoons, and distant coyotes.
The night sky is extremely brilliant, so bring your telescope! Long walks on our country roads are relaxing, with seasonal streams that sometimes meander and sometimes rush through the landscape.

The campsite is approximately 3 miles from the river, and it is connected to a creek that flows into the river. These creeks run year-round and are perfect for taking a dip! This is a 253 Acre property near the Sacramento River that flows through the area of Lakehead near Redding and Shasta Lake. There are a couple of really good fishing spots along the river. On the property itself, there are three year-round flowing creeks.
Lots of Deer on the property since we don’t hunt, and so they come on our land as a little sanctuary. Beautiful view of the Shasta area mountains. Multiple places to hike and find water holes.
There is Poison Oak on the property; please be mindful. There are bears, but they will normally stay away from the campsite. Please put your food away to prevent wildlife from coming into your camp. There are fish in the Sacramento River that can be fished for. This is the wilderness; there are mosquitoes, flies, and other bugs. Please bring bug spray.

Getting There
Property is located ~9 miles down a dirt road in the bottom of a canyon with the North Fork of the Feather River at the bottom of it. Normal sedans should be OK getting down to the property if you drive slowly and are careful. Travel trailers are also fine but you should be cautious taking anything larger than 30 feet. Once you start down the road there is no place to turn around until you are at the bottom of the canyon.

Notes About the Property
* There is no cellular reception at the property.
* I have used Starlink here in the past and it works great.
* A fire in 2021 burned much of the tree coverage. Campsite 1 has very little tree coverage. Campsite 2 is nestled among trees.
* The property used to be an operating gold mine. There is old equipment onsite. DO NOT climb or touch any of the old equipment!

The camp sites were very well kept. The night time camp host was just the nicest lady that way above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. We showed up after hours, but she greeted us anyway and opened the store for us so we could get supplies and fire wood. The manager or owner came to greet us the following morning and was also very kind and friendly. We couldn't give a higher praise to Bigfoot Lodging. 2 thumbs up

Great spot that was sheltered enough from the highway that we got a great night's sleep. Also, I had called, didn't leave a message, and got a callback from Tammy in under 10 minutes. We had already driven to another place but went back to Wonderland mostly because of noise concerns. No regrets, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Heated bathrooms were a nice touch!

It was great. Been coming for a good 3 years now. I appreciate all the improvements they have made. The only uncomfortable part was I booked online. We got a message asking when we were showing up. If we wanted wood...directions ... A lot of good information. We responded immediately said we would be there at midnight. We rolled in at midnight. Getting ready to settle in...some random dude shows up lights blazing and questions us about being there. Mind you there is no service. I didn't get screen shots. I have never had a problem here before. After a while the man finally acknowledges he had correspondence from me. But he definitely gave the feelings like we were trying to pull a fast one. Idk. It wasn't the most comfortable welcome. Especially where we wrote that we were coming at midnight 4 hours prior. We also wanted to buy wood. We were looking forward to having fire that morning. But the wood didn't come until the next night. I mentioned when the gentleman came questioning us that we wanted wood and asked about it in the message. We were bummed we didn't get wood until the next evening kinda late. And it was a bit of a chilly afternoon. So bring a little wood if you don't want to wait. Take screen shots of everything. I don't think they update the system on their end too regularly.

We had an absolutely WONDERFUL time at FullCircle!! Erin and Eric greeted us and it was clear from the get go that they love this land and they are so excited to share it. Every detail was thoughtful and whimsical. They showed us the lay of the land, loved on our doggies, and helped us get set up. The site is level and spacious and honey. The potty is clean and stable. The fire pit is perfect for a chilly night. The sunset and sunrise were to die for. We will certainly be back!!
