Patient Feather Ranch is a beautiful 40 acre ranch located in Raymond California. We are one hour from Yosemite National Park South gate. 15 minutes from Hensley lake and 45 minutes from Bass Lake. We love this place so we decided to share it with others. Our Bell tent sleeps 3. It is equipped with a small portable toilet, sink, and shower. Here you can relax and watch the mini horses, alpaca, llamas and many more beautiful ranch animals. You can listen to Wonkey the donkey bray, the drumming of emu and wild coyote in the distance. Loved spending the night here with a couple friends! It’s a perfect, cozy spot to spend a night or two while exploring the national parks and local mountains. If you’re looking for something easier than camping or setting up your own campsite, but still has the feel of being outdoors, this is it! The heater works great, water gets hot (wifi does not reach the trailer however, and cell reception ranges from decent to absolutely nonexistent- but if you really need to use a phone, the wifi works great closer to the house). The coffee was such a perk in the morning! Thanks so much!

The staff was friendly and inviting upon arrival. The restrooms were within walking distance and very well cleansed. Plenty of picnic tables and privacy. 1 urinal 2 stalls and 2 showers 2 sinks. Nice playground for the kids as well as a recreation room for the family and clubhouse for indoor TV, fireplace and lounging with board games and more to keep the youth entertained. Outdoor bonfire perfect for late nights while stargazing making more memorable moments. Road 432 is walking distance and leads you into the town of Pine Village where other forms of necessities such as food and goods, local gas can be found with all sorts of nearby hikes and trails around the Bass Lake area. A little bit of everything! Just plan your own route and stops as you go and wander. Great WiFi as well provided but just being here makes you even forget about being on your phone, devices and technology, honestly. It served it's purpose to rid us of impurities and have us indulge more with Mother Earth as if it were second nature. Definitely plan to return and do some fishing! We connected with a family this past weekend who made the experience even more memorable and enjoyable for our little family of 3 as we decided to celebrate our daughter's birthday there. Everyone was beyond genuine with their support and hospitality that they offered and the stories that were shared just goes to show how the world still has hope. You just have to look in the right places and let the universe guide you.

We had a blast at yurt 17 and are already looking at dates to come back! Our only regret was that we did not stay longer. The yurt is equipped with staple amenities including a kettle and fridge. It has power and to our surprise WiFi. We stayed in mid October and I do wish we would have brought a couple extra blankets as it was pretty chilly even though there seemed to be a heater in the yurt. The yurt has plenty of privacy and we felt like we had the whole camp to ourselves. The communal bath house was very clean and several bathroom stalls and showers which made it really nice to be able to get in and out. The stargazing area was also amazing! We saw the milkyway and several constellations! Definitely make time for this!

What a delight! Our experience at Sierra Highland Camp was nothing short of wonderful, we wish we’d been able to stay longer. We booked an overnight in a yurt; such a comfortable stay complete with cooking gear, BBQ, and heater. The make your own bed set up was clear and easy. The bathroom blocks were great, updated, spacious, and clean. This is a great location to explore the surrounding National Forest, Kings Canyon, and Sequoia NPs. We look forward to returning and spending more time.

The tent camping was different from normal parks. Outlets at each site, portable water, pea gravel for drainage around the site and you didn't drag in as much dirt. The kids loved the Wi-Fi to listen to music, I loved it so I could download maps of Yosemite before we went in with no service. The pool was nice and cool and had been cleaned while we were there. The club house I'm sure would be bustling during the peak season, we choose the end of September to avoid a good amount of the crowd. Within walking distance of Bass Lake which was beautiful and we were able to rent a boat and pretty much had the whole lake to ourselves. We didn't use the laundry facilities on site but they were there and looked in good shape. The toilets and showers were well maintained. I have already recommended Outdoorsy Yosemite to other families who are looking to go visit Yosemite.
