I personally lived in my RV and struggled, so now I offer our place for a cheap place to park .We have 1 space for your off grid fully independent max 24 foot van or small RV . We also have a cabover camper set up iwith a bathroom and shower. Full equipped kitchen area. Not fancy but does the job. Has a shower and bathroom. Full kitchen and bedroom. Pull out couch bed. Table and chairs. We just scored a free outdoor fireplace!!!! Woooohoooo!! you are welcome to sit by the fire! We have starter logs and firewood. We do not have hookups for your van or RV. We can offer an extension cord and shop vac for cleaning but cannot hook you up to full time power. We have a hose to fill your tanks. No dumping station here. We have donkeys and a horse that you can feed watermelon or carrots to provided by us. . We have a trampoline Basketball goal Outdoor Fireplace Above ground saltwater pool that you are welcome to use. We will be here when you check in to show you around. You will receive a gate code on arrival so you can come and go. We are family friendly No drugs or heavy drinking No leaving children unattended No entering into animals pins. No guests outside of you and whoever is in your van/rv We are just starting to set things up. We are working on a garden. We have avocados and oranges.

This is a historical property in campo California. A great old west town with an interesting history behind it. This particular property was where the Buffalo soldiers kept their working horses close to 100 years ago in what is now the last standing original buffalo soldier barn. Old artifacts and handmade tack can still be found in the giant rustic barn. The barn is now used to breed unique crossbred horses that have gained Note-oriety, and have been featured on the cover of magazines, including the Boot Barn campaign (who intend to use the barn in in future photo shoots) as well as use famous spotted horse, Confettis American Warrior in the next ad campaign being shot in Hollywood next month. We tried to keep the barn with its original charm and added some world class beautiful horses that are available for riding around the property and/or photoshoots during your stay for an additional cost. We have extra stalls available for people who would like to bring their own horses for a unique camping experience including riding your horse in Camp Locket and along the USA/America border wall. Lots of space for trailer and very secure stalls in the barn. We are just starting out doing this, but have the options of staying in a brand new shed yet to be converted, in the barn inside an old stall to have a real authentic experience where the soldiers used to rest or a tent overlooking the old historical barn and the fabulous horses (right now we have babies!). About the property Our property is in the high desert above Borrego Springs at 4,300'. We border Anza Borrego State property which means you’ll be adjacent to plenty of beautiful open spaces. There are many trails in the park which lead to the desert floor from our fence line. On a clear day you can see the Salton Sea from the bottom of the property.  We have great access to nearby points of interest including Borrego Springs which is 20 miles away, Anza Borrego State Park which is adjacent to Julian at 40 miles away, Palomar observatory which is 40 miles away and Cuyamaca Lake which is fantastic for fishing only 45 miles away. If you need to pop into town for any supplies or services you can access Borrego Springs (20 miles away), Julian (40 miles away), Ramona (45 miles away), and Temecula (50 miles away). We have 3 horseshoe pits and 9 frisbee golf baskets for recreation onsite and we have incredible dark skies for excellent stargazing. You may see many different forms of wildlife including mountain lions, coyotes, foxes, bob cats, racoons, badgers, and rattle snakes. You will see many rabbits, squirrels and tons of birds of all kinds! We are really the perfect location for those who love the outdoors! Owners live on site but we like to greet, meet, and then leave you to your stay! Please reach out if you have questions or concerns though. About the listing Our listing is for tents, vans and truck campers, trailers, or RV’s and we can accommodate rigs up to 25ft in length. A few of our 5 sites are pull through sites on dirt and may require some leveling. All sites are dry camping only as we do not have any hookups, though there are two bathrooms and water available in a centralized area on the property.  You can expect High desert and scrub brush environments. Any vehicle should be able to access our property but 4-wheel drive vehicle might make it a little easier to access areas on the outside perimeter of the property. While staying with us you can expect some noise from coyotes, raven….wind and a little highway traffic on s22. Each site will accommodate up to 6 people. Amenities listed below: -Picnic table provided -Two bathrooms available -Pets allowed -Potable water available via spigot -Trash bins available -Limited cell service, no wifi Additional details to note Fires are illegal in our area so please no campfires at anytime. We loved staying with Jodi on her ranch, which is located in a great, quiet area with beautiful views. The ranch is to get to, and Jodi is amazing, a great communicator and a host! She went above and beyond for us, took the time to take us out for food, show us all the best local spots, and ensured we had everything we needed. There are horses, dogs, a goat, and more… all extremely well behaved and friendly. Jodi even gave us a riding lesson and let us help her with the horses. It was a truly healing stay. We will be back. Thank you Jodi!!!

Weekend Trip to Ranch Blooms
As Elizabeth stated the incline was steep but nothing the truck and camper couldn't handle. It was nice and quiet. For the most part it felt private. A downside was that the sap that got all over the truck from the tree near by but we can easily wash that off. I liked that Elizabeth was encouraging us to get out and find the whales and dolphins even though we didn't see any. She was still very encouraging. She was happy enough to put her dog in knowing we have one too. I would recommend this if you like someone who let's you do your own thing and doesn't bother you.

We had a great night camping at Saddle Up! We were on Site 12 which was well described and perfectly located for a great sunset view. The directions to the site were on point and our family enjoyed meeting the horses and goats! Perfect for an overnight stay. The owner was super friendly and next time we will definitely explore the horseback riding available.

We stayed in the Tipi and we found the property charming but not as nice as the photos made it seem. There’s a lot of clutter around the property and it doesn’t seem very well maintained. Lots of spider webs everywhere, there was a cockroach in my suitcase(fyi don’t leave your suitcase on the floor), only one bathroom for multiple guests and they have 3 chickens which sound like little dinosaurs in the morning and throughout the day. The shower floor is starting to crumble and fall apart but with all that said I’d still recommend this place. The muffins, coffee, fridge and outdoor kitchen were a nice touch and good place to hang out and enjoy a meal. Overall we had a good experience and slept well.

I loved parking my van at the Cozy Corner. Lexi was helpful, kind and understanding. I was able to rest and rejuvenate after my drive from NY. This place and the people were so welcoming, I felt like I could stay forever. I almost hate to give a glowing review because selfishly, I want to make sure it’s not booked up when I come back through!!!! Met and exceeded my expectations. I will be staying here again soon!!! What an absolute delight!!!! Clean bathrooms and shower, peaceful garden and koi fish pond, wonderful neighbors, and so perfectly peaceful. Thank you Lexi and co. This place is awesome!! It’s just the right amount of peaceful nature getaway with the essential amenities. I absolutely loved how dog friendly it was, especially the backyard being clear of anything sharp so my dogs could play without me worrying. The shower, grills, sink, and outdoor fire pit worked out great. It is June in the desert so temps were in the 90s/high 80s during the day. It cooled down at night + there is a ceiling fan but I would recommend bringing a little fan for the windows if you’re going on the summer. The house holds heat really well which I am sure is a huge pro in the winter but it can take a while to cool down inside if you go in the summer months. Really wasn’t too hot though, the ceiling fan helps a lot. Everything was VERY clean and Lucas even provided a clean bath towel, kitchen towel, toilet paper, paper towels, and a water jug! I would definitely recommend a vehicle with AWD or 4WD because the driveway is a bit steep and is not paved. Overall I had a great stay and already can’t wait to come back!

My girlfriend and I had a great stay here! We stayed at site 11, which was very close and a great view of the horses, had a picnic table, grill, fire pit, and plenty of space. All the animals are beautiful and well taken care of by the owners. We highly recommend this place, and encourage tips for the hard work and expense the owners put in, and the lives they save and give a better life to. Thank you to TJ for being so kind and welcoming!

My dog & I loved walking around the gorgeous property- so green, lovely flowers, & koi fish! Lexi was absolutely wonderful, everyone on site was so helpful and nice. The fellows campers were very friendly. I used the RV site with an electrical hook up- it was a nice spot, convenient plug in, Lexi sent specific directions to the location. And GREAT price!!! They have a full kitchen, lounge area, & washing machines available. I stayed for an event 30 minutes away and told everyone there about this place. Definitely check it out!!

We had a great, relaxing time. You’re not far from Fallbrook or Temecula if you need supplies or want a meal in town, and there’s a rugged, long trail called Montserrate if you want exercise. We mainly enjoyed the view outside our tent, reading, listening to music and cooking on our camp stove or the fire pit. The tent is roomy (Queen bed with dresser and nightstands) and there are two bathrooms and a shower nearby). Not fancy glamping but perfect for our needs. You will hear birds at night, roosters throughout the day, but not a bother. Maybe bring earplugs if you want to sleep in. Would stay again.

We have over 180 trees on the property (mostly beautiful flowing California Pepper Trees) and have gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains and horse pastures.We offer horseback riding, goat yoga, and goat milking. You can also volunteer and help care for the animals while you are here by feeding, grooming or simply petting them. TJ, our owner, is working her way through the race track. Our campsites are managed by Tony. He works closely with guests to expand our campsites. TJ and many of the guides volunteer hard hours to rehabilitate the horse and give them a good home. You should see how the animals flock to TJ. The ranch also has goats, pigs, chickens, dogs and cats. It gets very cold at night but the star filled skies are breathtaking. This time during our stay we had 3 kitty visitors and 3 dogs that rolled up to our camp multiple times, it felt like they were checking up on us. It was so cute. The sweet Aussie poked his head in our tent to say "you good?" haha It was so cute and they were extremely friendly and social! The black kitten stayed at our camp all night and cuddled on our laps by the fire. It was such a lovely experience. TJ and her crew have done an amazing job with this place, I don't have enough words to explain. Just see for yourself! You'll love it!! Can't wait to visit again!"

Bouldering (climbing), fire pit (seasonal), covered deck, hiking and VIEWS! Plenty of room and separate camp spots- lock the gate and you will have no visitors or onlookers. Single outdoor flush toilet with sink.  We provide a Propane stove - 2 burner, propane, toilet paper, dish soap and hand soap.  No COTS.Guests love it here "This was finally checked off of my saved list—my partner and I rented a 4x4 to get up there since our 2WD car wouldn't have made it in one piece. It was only a short drive from downtown San Diego and was super easy to navigate. Once we arrived the experience was TRULY MAGICAL. We had such an awesome experience exploring the property, birdwatching, hiking and some light climbing. Don't forget to check out the cave! The facilities were beyond expectations and we had a seamless experience. Steve was super accommodating and was great at communicating—he even gave us a small tour of the property! The sunsets and sunrises here were something out of a dream, we wish we could wake up every morning here. We will definitely be coming back soon!"
