Our property is lakeside at Rollins Lake In Colfax. We live on over 30 private, beautiful acres with footpath access to Rollins Lake. (3 minute walk from the dome or house, and 10-15 minutes from the cabin) where most summer days here are spent swimming, paddle boarding, kayaking, fishing ect., down at the water. Please note the Cabin is set on a seasonal CANNABIS garden. All three sites are vacation spots with AC and WIFI, not just simple accommodations, but experiences. The remarkable property is very hilly with pines and oaks. You can follow our driveway to the bottom and access the beginning of The Bear River which has a nice hiking trail alongside it or drive 8 minutes to the nearest boat ramp and 10 minutes to the town of Colfax where you will find gas, groceries, and restaurants. We have a beautiful spot where you will not see any neighbors so it is peaceful and private with gorgeous 360-degree views. It is also very safe! Bask in nature, quiet, and privacy! In summer there is a 3-night minimum for the cabin and dome. Occasionally a two day midweek will pop up on the schedule last minute. To see correct pricing, enter your dates as they can fluctuate with holidays, weekends. Prices are decreased midweek. We have 3 accommodations on the property -A GUEST SUITE (lakeside), up to 5 people. -A CABIN (15 min walk or 3 min drive/5 min walk, up to 4 people. -A GLAMPING DOME with an additional teepee tent site (lakeside)! We have owned our 20 acre ranch for 12 years. We enjoy the peace and quiet and beautiful views surrounded by oak trees. We love hiking down to the river. Very private; seldom do you come across other people. Amador brewing, Solid Ground brewing and the world famous Poor Reds are about 30 minutes away. Learn more about this land: Renovated guesthouse on 20 acres in the gold country. 1900 feet elevation. 30 minute hike to the Consumnes River, with beaches and swimming. Great sunrises, sunsets and stars. Mountain biking available. Rock outcroppings for climbers. About a 30 minute drive to numerous wineries and the foothill towns of Plymouth and Placerville. The kitchen has a vintage stove with four burners and two ovens, microwave, toaster oven, and sink.  You will also have access to a full size refrigerator. Outside is a propane bbq with two side burners for your use. There is one bedroom with a full bed and in the living room is a trundle bed that converts to two twins. We have installed hardwood laminate flooring throughout guesthouse; some of the pictures show the prior cement floor. There is wifi, Verizon and At&t get good reception.  We use our phones for internet and streaming.  There is a 50 inch TV and dvd player. Bring your own hardware/cords if you want to stream from your phone.   We have goats  if you would like to feed or with. My wife and I live on the property in a house about 200 feet away. You will have as much privacy/interaction as you desire.  Our garage is attached to the guesthouse,  so I may need to access it occasionally during your stay.  We also travel so you may have the property to yourself. We do have two dogs on the property. The Australian healeris very friendly. The Anatolian shepherd is a watch dog so he will bark at you upon arrival and then settle down and leave you alone. You may hear him barking at night at any moving wildlife (deer, turkey, etc.). The last 4.5 miles of the drive to the property is on a winding road.  Please drive carefully.

The swimming is awesome and the stars at night will put you into a state of awe! In the area there are many family owned wineries in the area, most of them offering free tasting! It’s a short drive to Tahoe and the Marshall gold discovery site as well as the historic hangtown Placerville. We are happy to make suggestions for local hiking areas, like the Devil's Slide "Gorge" only a 15 minute drive but like a trip to mini Yosemite. The Caldor Fire was VERY close to our property and a back burn was initiated nearby the our house (literally 200' away!). Our property became a pivotal point of fighting the fire in our community known as the “Ant Hill Army”.

Our group of 3 adults and 5 kids had a wonderful time! The cabin was clean and comfortable, and there was plenty of space for tents. The swimming holes were gorgeous, even better than the pictures. There was a good mix of shallow water appropriate for our babies, and deeper water for swimming. It was also fun to watch the chickens! We ended up leaving a night early due to a wildfire in the area, but it was a great trip nonetheless. We are already talking about trying to come back in the future.

We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin. It was private & secluded. We actually never made it down to the lake which was okay with us because we were out exploring other things. The cabin had everything we needed to make a small breakfast, enjoy coffee (Keurig) with coffee mate, sugar, and even had some snacks & SPF for us. It was the perfect accommodation for our needs. The road getting up to the house was a little sketchier than anticipated but we put our Jeep in 4Wd & it was fine. I think it would have been okay without it though.

The cabin was secluded and we didn’t see anyone else during our stay there, and it was cute and comfortable. Hosts were great about taking us down to lake which was great for swimming and water activities. Road to cabin is dirt and gravel and we could not do it in our non-4 wheel drive car, but we could park further down and walk up. Just beware of this.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Farmhouse Cabin at Rollins Lake. It was clear that the host put thought and care into ensuring we were comfortable; from the A/C and nice furnishings, to the fully stocked kitchen and bathroom. They even provided a bath bomb for the outdoor tub (which was to die for, btw). The lake was a short, but strenuous hike away - but also a short drive. Loved the lake. Loved the Empire Mine State Park nearby. The cabin felt remote, but was close to town. We are grateful our dog was welcome. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Was a great experience, we lived in the lap of luxury. Justin had made his home into a beautiful spa day in the woods. He was very responsive to all our questions, the accommodations were clean, cozy and very comfortable, the hot tub was divine, and we were nearby a beautiful collection of hiking and swimming spots along the Yuba River. 5 stars!!

We enjoyed our stay on Noleen and Jobe’s beautiful land! The cabin next to the chicken coop was comfortable. (Be sure to purchase some fresh eggs!) The flush toilets and well water felt like luxuries for camping in a remote spot. The highlight was swimming and hanging out at the river all afternoon!

We stayed at cabin 2 (all the camp sites were booked but by the time we arrived, some camp sites were free but had left the tent at home.) Camp sites are beautiful and more private. But we did love the "patio" side with the fire pit and table. Loved the stream on the property. Definitely go to the Cosumnes river gorge close by. Our dog loved running around off leash. Hosts were really gracious and helpful.

The site is so beautiful with 3 or 4 "beaches" that I'm sure will be even better once the river is less full. There are 8 tent sites and 2 cabins spread out on the property. I stayed in cabin 1 and it was very spacious and very cozy. It doesnt feel crowded or too secluded. I had an incident with my car tire as I was leaving but Jolene's husband(sorry I don't remember your name)was incredibly helpful getting things fixed.Its such a soecial spot that I don't really want tell you how wonderful it is so that I can save it for me and my friends. 10/10 will be back many times.

This was our first Hipcamp experience and it was an absolute joy. I am completely jealous of their little slice of heaven. The cabin was roomy and comfortable. There was a table, chairs, and an umbrella, along with a fire pit. There was a bathroom right next to the cabin for convenience. Their family was welcoming and the boys and farm dog were adorable. Even with the family living on the property we always felt that we had our privacy. The grounds were beautiful with a creek running in the back. They have multiple options for tent camping backed up to the creek as well cabin lodging options. We had a lovely experience and will definitely be back.

The stay was amazing, the directions were also perfect. It’s a very cute cabin perfect for a weekend getaway. We loved the outdoor bathtub- we actually booked it for the outdoor hot tub but unfortunately it wasn’t functional because of the weather but we had fun anyway even without it because it was cold outside and also raining. The bath tub made up for it !!
