Early and late check-out available on tent/rv sites, free of charge. Just message me if you need an earlier check in! Free firewood! We are 30 minutes to the main gate of Yosemite National Park. A great place to stay just outside of the park. Be near the park, but feel that complete privacy. These sites are very spaced out from each other and are large. No need to cram together! Explore the mines and hang out on our Groveland, California ranch!
We have 824 acres on a beautiful cattle ranch with two small ponds. On our property, you'll find frogs, turtles, oak trees, pine trees and stunning views of Yosemite.
We have several campsites to choose from including RV camping, tent camping, and a glamping tent. Pets are welcome. Campfires are permitted as long as there is no fire ban. Potable water and toilet are available onsite.
There's a golf course less than a mile away. We are also very close to town. In just a few minutes, you can drive to our local grocery store and pizza parlour.
We are a 10-minute drive to Pine Mountain Lake. Beautiful Pine Mountain Lake offers golfing, dining, horseback riding, water sports and an airport.
When you come to the ranch it feels like you are hundreds of miles away from civilization, but still close to everything you need. It is incredibly peaceful!
This is a great place for someone who wants to escape city life and enjoy the tranquillity of nature.
Much of the ranch is open wilderness for you to explore, and it's not uncommon to see deer, frogs, turtles, quail, turkeys, or other countless species of birds.
Diamond Gulch Camp is the perfect place to relax if you’re a photographer, artist, family or a group of friends looking for a place to camp near Yosemite.
A small portion of the property was used as a gold mine years ago, and you may find remnants of old home sites if you go exploring. We're not far from Wards Ferry Road, Groveland, Lake Don Pedro and other interesting places.

Arnold is well-located for a weekend getaway (~2.5 hours from the East Bay and ~3 hours from SF) and as a convenient base for your adventures in the Sierras. If you haven't been to Arnold and Gold Country, there is so much to explore!
The cabin is on a small parcel in a quiet neighborhood, removed but close to town. We're just a 5-minute walk to the Arnold Rim Trail (with 30+ miles of hiking), 10-minute drive to Big Trees State Park, 15 minutes to the town of Murphys (great wineries, pubs and dining), 40 minutes to Bear Valley Ski Resort, 10 minutes to White Pines Lake, 45 minutes to Lake Alpine. We’re happy to recommend our favorite spots for hiking and swimming. If your trip is taking you farther afield, we’re 2 hours from Yosemite, and 2.5 hours from Lake Tahoe via the less-traveled Highway 4 in warmer months. Or you can can always just relax with a view in the cabin.

Our classic 1970s A-frame cabin offers a simple space of retreat with lovely light, view of the trees and uncluttered decor. Great for couples and also solo travelers! Please note there is a 2 night minimum on weekends (if overlaps with a Fri or Sat) and a 3 night minimum for holiday weekends.

We’re happy to recommend our favorite spots for hiking and swimming. If your trip is taking you farther afield, we’re ~2 hours from Yosemite's Big Oak Flat entrance, and 2.5 hours from Lake Tahoe via the less-traveled Highway 4 in warmer months.
We do our best here to strike a balance between simple amenities and comfort. A reminder that we are in the country, so the cabin is best suited to those who like a more rustic getaway.
There is no AC, television, or microwave. We've gone without a TV and landline, but WiFi means you can stream to your own devices and make WiFi calls on your cell. We have loads of board games and puzzles.
The kitchen has pots/pans/kettle, toaster, mini waffle iron, Brita pitcher, and rice cooker. For coffee drinkers, we have a coffee grinder, french press and pour over dripper. Help yourself to organic coffee and tea!
The cabin is mainly heated by a gas fireplace (looks like a wood stove, but does not need wood). We recommend bringing layers and slippers in the winter while the cabin warms up. Like most cabins in the area, there is no AC, but we provide room fans. Cell reception is unreliable throughout the Sierras except for Verizon, however at the cabin, WiFi calls are available through all carriers --to make calls, enable the setting on your cell phone.
The cabin comfortably fits 4 people, with 1 bedroom, a sleeping loft (no door) and 1.5 bathrooms. The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed, and the loft has a full-size mattress and its own half bathroom.
We have a flat parking pad instead of a driveway, which makes things easier in the winter months.
The rental rate covers a professional cleaning fee and linens and towels! Guests will need to take their garbage and recycling with them to the local refuse center which is on the way out.

The Stranges are professional fish and wildlife biologists and have decided to share this special place for others to enjoy. The property hosts a diversity of plant and wildlife species that might be observed during your stay. Prehistoric and historic resources can be observed along the river corridor. Please be aware that some wildlife species including rattlesnakes, bears, and mountain lions have been observed on the 117-acre property and could potentially be observed near the campsites.
The Ranch's northern portion of the property supports a leased farming operation. Farming operations should not interfere with camping activities.
Day trips are possible to Tahoe, Yosemite National Park, Calaveras Big Trees State Park, local caverns and wine tasting, and historic gold towns.

Anahata Lake has 2 peaceful dark campsites with outstanding views of the stars. A pond that is swimmable when full, but lately is low due to drought. Hang out in the shade of the oak trees. Our hill at the back of the property has a hike with a gorgeous view on clear days of the mountains and hills both up the Sierra and down to the central valley. There are also several high Sierra lakes and streams to explore and swim in, and many high country hikes you can do if you are more adventurous. The nearby town of Murphys has groceries, a large variety of restaurants, and several wine tasting rooms.
Note that summer temperatures often are between 90-105 degrees in our region. We recommend checking the Angels Camp forecast for the days you want to visit.

If you need time to get away and enjoy a beautiful piece of Northern California, this is the place. We spent a wonderful weekend at site #1, exploring the Mokelumne River and the peaceful surrounding including a gold mine. Terry responded quickly to our questions, gave clear directions for RV access, and even met us to guide us to the campsite. The site was spotless, very level and thoughtfully equipped — everything we needed was provided. We had such a great stay that we’ll be booking again soon. Highly recommended!

Incredible experience. The host was above and beyond accommodating, and his knowledge of the area made the experience extra special. We cannot thank him enough for how kind and welcoming he was, and he had so many interesting facts to share. This is a gem of a location, with a spectacular view and so much wildlife, particularly birds. You can spend a lot of time exploring the area, and the sound of the river was perfect to fall asleep to. This spot is also located near many caverns and historic towns if you don’t want to spend the entire time at the campground. We will definitely be back!

we’ve stayed at John’s farm 3 times now, once in spring and twice in late November. every time it has been so amazing! the property is gorgeous and there’s so much open grassy areas to wander and sit on a blanket and just enjoy being in nature and not hearing any sounds but cows mooing! the porta potty is always clean and the camping spaces are large and well equipped with fire pits and wood! i would highly recommend John’s land to anyone. thank you again for sharing your property, John!

What a gorgeous area! We had plans to for one more night in Yosemite but with impending snow we needed a last minute site outside of the park just in case! We had the camp to ourself with a gorgeous view of a storms iver the mountains from our camper. We would definitely come back!

Such a cool spot! Not your typical campground…loved being on a cattle ranch with open spaces, watching the cows and hearing them moo and the donkeys bray. Lots of space to roam with our two big dogs, very quiet and peaceful. We were in our campervan. Plenty of space between sights, fire pits and firewood aplenty. Highly recommend if you like something a little different. Oh and the sunset was spectacular!

John’s land was perfect and just as described. Very easy directions to get there and the camp was clean and tidy. It was very peaceful and we had great cell and Starlink reception. We will definitely stay again if in the area! Awesome having free fire wood. Showers worked super well. Nothing like a nice hot shower in the open air.

A wonderful location and an even more wonderful host, Terry! He’s so welcoming and made sure we were well taken care of. The shared shower, porta potty and sink are all clean and well maintained.
We had campsite #2 which was perfect for our part of two with plenty of space. During the day, we explored trails along the creek and enjoyed the beautiful nature around us. The creek water is clear and had fish too! While we did share the swimming hole and “beach side” area and chairs with others, it was still very enjoyable.
One thing to that would help is better signage to exit the property. Other than that, it’s a big thumbs up for us!

Beautiful spot, super clear instructions, communicative and friendly host, very clean facilities. River is special and serene, and was a great spot for the kids to explore. LOVED the campfire setup on the beach, it was perfect for us to safely roast some hot dogs and smores later in the season. Stairs down were very sturdy and while we had to keep an eye on the kids, the 3/4 year olds were able to safely navigate themselves up and down. Mentioning this because I found this helpful in other previous reviews :)

Good place to camp away from the crowds in Yosemite!! And only an hour drive in to the NP.
Night skies were amazing!! Open space so campers were not on top of each other!! John (and Molly) was a great host. Groveland was a 5 minute drive with any supplies you need and dinner options
