Our location is stunning and historic, and the beauty of the wild, natural landscape is powerful, yet offers easy access to both Yosemite Valley and the San Francisco Bay area. The area features excellent road and mountain biking in the immediate vicinity, vast access to hiking and backpacking trails, a huge variety of rock climbing in the area, the best whitewater rafting in California on the Tuolumne River, with some tasty places to eat or drink coffee in the nearby town of Groveland, just 10 minutes away. Accommodations at the farm are certainly rustic, and private but not secluded, with occasionally heavily project-exploded shared kitchen and living space, showers, and airy flush toilets. Do be advised that animals are pooping, hammers are hammering, sometimes we need to look into a health or animal injury related issue. Sometimes there is blood in an animal birth or slaughter, and our working guardian dogs have been known to be noisy some nights. Water and electricity are both very limited (though we reuse all our water), waste must be carefully sorted into a number of different categories, and there is always evidence of ump-teen projects unfolding at once. The most difficult condition during much of the summer are nuisance flies, which are always gone at night. We have almost no mosquitoes or ticks. Depending on the exact situation and time of year, guests may have the opportunities to snuggle with baby animals and run our herd to or from pasture, and maybe even get their hands dirty picking veggies in the garden.

Second bedroom is semi-private (no door) has a twin trundle bed, a desk for any work or schoolwork needs. There is a sleeper sofa in the living room. Open living room, dining area, and kitchen. Close to downtown Twain Harte and all that it has to offer - summer music outdoors, restaurants, and shops. It is a short drive to Pinecrest Lake and Dodge Ridge. Come stay! The space This house has a primary bedroom with a king bed and a sleeper sofa/ futon (58" long). The second bedroom is semi-private (no door), but since it is across the house from the master, there is some privacy in that way. It has twin trundle beds and is near the second bathroom and right off the kitchen. There's a large back deck for your enjoyment to take in the view of trees and eat outside under the shade umbrella, or to grill on the gas grill. There are stairs to get down to the house, but once inside it is single level. There’s Roku TV and a sound system that you can plug your phone into that’s very loud and good! There is a new AC mini-split unit in the living room! Note: no AC in bedrooms Wood burning fireplace. Guest access You'll have access to the whole house. Other things to note Please note there are stairs to get down to the house, in case you have mobility issues, but there are railings to hold onto. Once inside, there are no stairs! Update: Newly installed AC in living room! In the summertime, this little cabin gets hot even with the evaporative cooler and fans. Hopefully, you are out frolicking during those hours, but please be prepared for the afternoon hours to be very warm. We recently purchased a portable evaporative cooler. You just need to add water to it and you can move it around to wherever you need to cool down. Please note that the second bedroom is semi-private, so maybe more suited to kids or youth - though it is on the other side of the house from the primary bedroom which is private.

There's a creek that runs through the property with Indian grinding holes. We also have volleyball, horseshoes, hiking trails, and much more! You will be in gold country where you can still find gold in the creek to this day! If you're lucky, you might find a nugget, but there's mostly pickers and fines. The nights are absolutely stunning for viewing the stars with no light pollution.  You will have almost complete privacy, with the exception of an occasional over head aircraft. The bedroom has a new queen bed and a large closet to store your belongings. Nestled on a half acre, the rustic yard welcomes lots of deer and wildlife. In the fall and spring enjoy the outdoor fire pit with a relaxing bench swing. You will enjoy your stay and get some much needed peace and quiet in this cozy mountain hideaway! We are pet friendly & happy to host your favorite house-trained 4-legged friend, (just 1 please) for an addl $50 pet fee. You will need to let us know if you have a dog when you book. Second bedroom is semi-private (no door) has a twin trundle bed, a desk for any work or schoolwork needs. There is a sleeper sofa in the living room. Open living room, dining area, and kitchen. Close to downtown Twain Harte and all that it has to offer - summer music outdoors, restaurants, and shops. It is a short drive to Pinecrest Lake and Dodge Ridge. Come stay! The space This house has a primary bedroom with a king bed and a sleeper sofa/ futon (58" long). The second bedroom is semi-private (no door), but since it is across the house from the master, there is some privacy in that way. It has twin trundle beds and is near the second bathroom and right off the kitchen. There's a large back deck for your enjoyment to take in the view of trees and eat outside under the shade umbrella, or to grill on the gas grill. There are stairs to get down to the house, but once inside it is single level. There’s Roku TV and a sound system that you can plug your phone into that’s very loud and good! There is a new AC mini-split unit in the living room! Note: no AC in bedrooms Wood burning fireplace. Guest access You'll have access to the whole house. Other things to note Please note there are stairs to get down to the house, in case you have mobility issues, but there are railings to hold onto. Once inside, there are no stairs! Update: Newly installed AC in living room! In the summertime, this little cabin gets hot even with the evaporative cooler and fans. Hopefully, you are out frolicking during those hours, but please be prepared for the afternoon hours to be very warm. We recently purchased a portable evaporative cooler. You just need to add water to it and you can move it around to wherever you need to cool down. Weekend Trip to The Painted Lake
I booked the lake view cabin to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. The cabin itself was super cute, cozy, and had large windows perfect for stargazing at night. The view from the cabin was absolutely epic — both sunrise and sunset were breathtaking, and the lake was stunningly beautiful. The property has a lovely rustic charm with friendly animals like dogs, hens, sheep, goats, lambs, and a horse. There’s even a kayak available if you want to explore the lake, which we really enjoyed. Jeremy was an amazing host — friendly, responsive, and went above and beyond by arranging a beautiful bouquet for my wife at my request. He patiently answered all my questions since it was my first glamping experience, which made everything smooth and enjoyable. One small note for first-time campers: the portable toilet is a bit away from the cabin and doesn’t have a traditional flush, so it might be an adjustment at first. Overall, we had an incredible stay and would definitely love to come back again — next time with our friends! ⭐ Rating: 5/5 — Highly recommended!

Mac’s cabin was a comfortable and beautiful experience. We enjoyed each moment that he came by and spoke with us. He took the time to check in on us with friendly laughter. The restrooms and showers were very conveniently located. The amenities like the microwave and heater were very handy. At the end of our trip, Mac was very friendly enough to leave us with hand picked tomatoes and a watermelon from his garden. Not to mention that I made an oversight on our trip dates and Mac was more than accommodating to push up our stay and adjust the dates. He’s very helpful and his campground is top notch across the board. Highly recommend would come again.

This place is super cute! Perfect for two people and our dog. I enjoyed how quiet and peaceful it was. The state park is really close and fun to hike around, dogs have to hike the fire trails but that was ok with us. There was great communication from the host who also replied timely. Had a wonderful time at this site! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how open and spacious the property is. There’s so much room to spread out, relax, and really take in the natural beauty of the area. Whether you’re coming with family, a group of friends, or bringing your dogs along, this place has the perfect setup to make everyone feel at home and comfortable. The cabin was clean, cozy, and incredibly well-stocked with everything we needed — you can really tell a lot of thought and care has gone into making it feel welcoming. The site also offers a great selection of games and activities, which kept both the kids and adults happily entertained for hours. There’s something for everyone to enjoy. Steven and Michelle were so kind and super responsive to any questions or needs we had. Looking forward to booking again in the future !

We had an amazing time at Jeremy's place! Jeremy was so kind and hospitable. He had great recommendations for food and places to go. The kids loved being able to gather chicken eggs each morning to eat. His dogs Juno, Luna, and Willow were the sweetest. We loved being able to hang out with the horses and the goats as well. It was an experience of a lifetime to be able to wake up and see the sunrise and the lake. We loved being able to go down to the lake to fish and ride the kayaks as well.

Weekend Trip to Wondernut Farm
My boyfriend and I stayed at the Wilderness Bridge for two nights and had a wonderful experience. The farm is peaceful and beautifully maintained, offering a relaxing environment throughout our stay. Matt and the people living on the farm were warm and welcoming, and their hospitality made us feel at home. We especially enjoyed the friendly dogs on the property and the stunning views that surrounded us. The Wilderness Bridge itself is about a 10-minute hike, and the view at the top is truly remarkable and well worth the effort. Overall, this was a memorable stay, and we highly recommend it to anyone seeking a quiet and scenic retreat.

Weekend Trip to BRIOCABIN
Had a nice weekend stay. The cabin is nice and stocked with towels, dishes, and cookware. There was a leak so we could not use the jacuzzi tub. We went to the White Pines Lake which was fun. The area is beautiful. Carlos was very responsive and helped with any issues we had.

Weekend Trip to Wondernut Farm
Wondernut farm is clearly a labor of love, which shows in the cute and comfortable guest cabin and thoughtfully designed common space. We enjoyed our night in the cabin, especially the outdoor shower shed after our Yosemite adventure. Matt was very welcoming and kind, and we enjoyed chatting with him and other guests. We would absolutely return!

We loved our time at the cabin. The trees provided a wonderful respite from the heat. We had deer drinking at the stream nearly every day. The thoughtful touches that Steven and Michelle have put into the both the cabin and the surrounding area made our vacation very special.

Everything about this place is amazing. Fully stocked with everything you could need, outdoor shower was my favorite part, quiet, tons of firewood, a platform to do yoga on, and the dogs could roam. 🩷 Blissfully way to disconnect.

3 nights at The Painted Lake
Jeremy is an amazing host and the tree house was the perfect stay for us. It’s centrally located to beautiful forests and trails and the town of Murphy (with a wonderful park and creek for kids to play). The bathrooms were so clean, having a mini fridge was great, and evenings on the porch were idyllic. Jeremy was quick to respond, gave great restaurant recommendations, and was understanding when we had to leave a day early due to an emergency. We will definitely be back again!
