We are located halfway between Brookings, OR and Crescent City, CA near the Wild and Scenic Smith River, Tolowa Dunes State Park, Lake Earl Wildlife Area, and Kellogg Beach (1.3 miles from camp) on the Pacific Ocean. The beautiful redwoods and Jedidiah Smith State Park are just minutes away. So many outdoor activities available nearby; Kayaking, swimming, surfing, fishing, hiking, biking, horse riding, bird watching, beach combing, and all the outdoor activities you can imagine. The farm animals are friendly, they love goodies and scratches (kitchen scraps, and Shiloh the horse loves carrots and apples!) Kids should be accompanied by an adult. Please close gates behind you!

Country setting yet 5 minutes to Humboldt State University, Arcata square, or Eureka, 15 minutes to Trinidad, Su-Meg (Patrick's Point), Blue Lake, and Moonstone Beach, 45 minutes to Redwood National Park, and so much more! Parking spots are on flat grassy field, near neighborhood road, typically very quiet and dark at night. We have nice bay breezes most every summer afternoon, and summer daytime temperatures are usually around 65 degrees. Abundant organic fruit free for the picking includes blueberries, blackberries, thimbleberries, kiwis, plums, pears and apples depending on the time of year (typically June through November) and we usually have fresh duck and chicken eggs, veggies, and culinary herbs (rosemary, thyme, sage, lavender etc.) to share from our garden, which is a work in progress, like many things! You're welcome to hang out by the very private creek for morning coffee or afternoon picnics and great bird and wildlife watching--if you're lucky you might even get to see river otters fishing and playing in the creek! You might want to bring water shoes or rain boots if you'd like to wade across the creek and explore the beautiful, serene 60 acre private nature preserve that borders our property. We have a young son and you'll often find us working and playing in the garden, creek, or around the property during the days

Really nice property and kind hosts. Jose and Carolyn made sure we had what we needed and invited us to roam around and talk to the animals and see the greenhouse plants. Super close to Kellogg Beach which was really an awesome place to view the sunset. Also very close to the Redwood forests, Smith River (and kayaking), and Crescent City. Quite a nice place to stay while we played!

Absolutely loved my stay here. Hosts were so kind and accommodating. I was taking a quiet break between festivals I’m working at and my cool, quiet and comfy stay at this farm was replenishing and lovely. The animals are sweet and the water tastes great. Such a great place to cool off from inland summer heat and gather oneself like a mini-retreat. I hardly left there because I slept well and it was so peaceful. It’s an oasis in these hot and frenzied conditions of modernity! I will definitely return when making this circuit of gatherings throughout Oregon and NorCal next year!

Small spot next to the host’s driveway in a very quiet peaceful rural neighborhood just outside Arcata. Laurie was very welcoming and invited us to pick fresh blueberries from the garden. Yum! We did a beautiful short hike on a neighborhood trail through a redwood forest. Somewhat lacking in privacy, but on the whole a super spot and a great location. I’d stay there again.

We love our stays with Patti. Our site had a full hook-up. The grounds are well maintained and easy to maneuver even with our 35 ft. fifth wheel. Patti is a wonderful host. You will come as a guest but leave as a friend. Her camp hosts are also very friendly. We spent time with Mike by the campfire. He provided us with numerous great suggestions on places to visit in Oregon. This is our second visit but not our last!

Our stay at Laurie’s Bayside RV Spot was delightful! We parked on a flat grassy spot with a view of her garden and a neighbor’s barn, and were able to easily hook up to electricity. There was a bouquet of flowers waiting for us on a small table with two chairs next to it. Laurie met us, showed us where to pick blueberries, brought us fresh eggs from her chickens, and told us where to take a lovely walk in the fern-covered forest nearby. A lovely host, we will definitely stay here again!

The campsites may not be fancy pants but the beach and the food are absolutely amazing. We talked to our neighbors and they all felt the same way the place down at the end that charter blue building has the best fish and seafood and the ocean, and the beach are to die for. Restrooms were clean we didn’t use the laundry but that’s OK. We are just done laundry yesterday. Thank you for having a space for us to stay. We loved it our whole family. We were only there overnight, so we didn’t really use the campground that much because we were on the beach the whole time or down eating

As others have said, the site is awesome, and Katherine and Bo are terrific hosts. Flat spot for the tent and a cozy trailer with all the things you need. We loved hearing many different birds, the wind in the trees, and the ocean when it was still at night. Lots of nice touches were appreciated- a Weber, water inside the trailer and out, a sweet chiminea with some wood and even starter, a line for drying clothes in the sun. Wood chips on the ground made for a comfy tent site, and the Adirondack chairs and picnic table were perfect for hanging out. The amenities in the trailer were unexpected- a small fridge! Instant espresso and a drip coffee maker! A little space heater! WiFi! Power for charging all the things! Best was Bo’s local beta about hikes and things to do in the area. Thanks again, B&K!

Tucked away at the edge of the Klamath Glen neighborhood, our family-owned campground has been welcoming guests for over 40 years. Surrounded by towering trees in the heart of Redwood National Forest and just a few minutes from the Pacific Ocean, this is a true hidden gem on California’s North Coast. We offer a rustic, old-fashioned camping experience. It’s a mix of open field and scattered trees, with both RVs and tent campers on site. Neighbors will be nearby, but the vibe is quiet and relaxed—especially in the off-season, when you might have the place nearly to yourself. The Klamath River is just over the levee—a short walk from your site—with great access for fishing, swimming, or simply relaxing by the water. The river is world-famous for salmon and steelhead fishing (license required). August and September are peak fishing months, so expect a few early morning engines from folks heading out. We’re only 4 miles off Highway 101, far enough to enjoy peace and quiet without traffic noise. Wildlife is part of the experience here, so please stash your food at night to keep critters out of camp. Outdoor lovers will find plenty to explore nearby—hiking and biking trails, the Trees of Mystery, Jet Boat Tours, and, of course, miles of redwood forest to get lost in. A few things to note: Firewood available Cell service can be spotty, depending on your carrier. Free Wi-Fi is available and reaches most of the campground. Electric car charging is $10 per charge. Please arrange ahead of time—50 amp service is limited, and you’ll need your own adapters. Well-behaved pets are welcome. Kids and laughter are always welcome.
