This 60 acre property is located approximately 3 miles east of San Gregorio Beach in the San Gregorio area. There is no home here, only a travel trailer on the Upper Meadow. It is very peaceful, quiet and beautiful throughout the seasons. We are 5 minutes away from the San Gregorio General Store and cafe and 20 minutes from Alice's Restaurant. We have great cell coverage for Verizon, AT&T and Visible. Experience shows that T-Mobile does not work here and I don't know about the other internet providers. There are four campsites, each with easy 4WD access. Two of the sites offer total isolation with amazing views while the third site, while in a nice setting, is more useful for a quick overnight stay with no views of the ocean or canyon. Dear winter and spring campers, please consider using "Sensible Weather" for your trip protection in the event of heavy rain or even high temperatures in the summer and fall. We have great hiking in the near area and 5 miles away there is great mountain biking trails. A world renoun mountain bike spot with intermediate to experienced trails for riders of all levels. 5 miles down the road as well is buzzard lagoon and is a great Dirt biking/4-wheeling location. It is a fun spot for all off road inthusiast! Your camping site is on a flat plateu and is an ideal spot to park your trailer, motorhome or tent camp. With Complete privacy with views of the pacific ocean and South county's Monterey bay with a 180 degree view as well as San jose and Morgan Hill. For the wine inthusiast, Loma Prieta winery is 5.5 miles away along with Windy Oaks Winery that is 3.7 miles away that is located on the "Wine trail" that has alots of winerys to offer in a beautiful location. A Day of fun for the family at Gilroy Gardens that is 15.5 miles away. The beach is 30-40 minutes away with great surfing and body boarding up and down the coastline. When in route once you get off the paved road from north or south stay on the dirt road for 15-20 more minutes. The location is very private it is on its own parcel with a gate. Or Explore Silicon Valley from this centrally located parcel. Kim Son Meditation Center and Mount Madonna Center are approximately 15 minutes away. There are also wonderful wineries throughout the mountains here. The trip to the site will begin with a three mile drive on a private dirt road.  Being on the very top of a mountain brings more seasonality than the surrounding cities.   Please be prepared for any kind of extreme weather. Summer: Shade is highly recommended it can get into triple digits. *Spring/fall: Temperatures are generally mild but high winds are possible. *Winter: Typically cold and windy. *During rainy/muddy conditions 4x4/AWD is highly recommended.  It is possible for it to get windy, foggy, rainy, hot and sunny, and even sometimes snowy. Please note: the nearest grocer is 30 minutes from this site. Emergency supplies are available for delivery to your campsite. Cell phone reception is good on most carriers.  Pets are allowed.  Enjoy your time howling at the moon, star gazing, bird watching/wildlife viewing, or relaxing with your favorite libation. Don't forget your camera! Since this is our first year renting our land we have found that August is a high wasp season time in the mountains. We are doing everything humanly possible to hunt down each and every Wasp for your enjoyment. With this in mind we ask you use the provided bug repellent, keep the lid to the trash closed, and do not pour grease anywhere you do not want wasps.

Shannon is lovely. The property is awesome to explore with it's historic barns. (But please don't venture inside the barns, per Shannon's instructions). Camping in a vehicle is best because of road noise - a problem that is consistent throughout our Bay Area mountain roads - idiot drivers testing how fast they can drive without crashing on these beautiful and generally serene, but twisting mountain roads. The noise dies down after dark on the weekends and isn't nearly as bad on weekdays. Shannon's property offers a nice private spot to camp and use as a home base for other activities in the area. It was really quite lovely! I definitely would love to return!

We stayed 4 nights. Bathrooms and sites are very clean. Camp host was very nice. 10 minute walk to the beach. On the downside, sites were narrow and no picnic tables on site. If you have a vehicle or bikes you can plan day trips to see the area. Weather was great.

Nice flat spot, located near main roads, tucked into the trees. Big open space to camp, lots of structures to make it unique. Picnic table, old cabin in a backyard. We swept off the deck area and it was good for dinner and read in a hammock. (Carefully!) The road noise was loud during the day, but minimal overnight. Dog was able to explore and we hiked the park about 2.5 miles away; we had a good overnight.

1 night at Beach RV Pleasure Point

This is a very well located basic camp lot adjacent to pleasure point in the town of Capitola, CA. The hosts are friendly and effective - bathrooms, with showers are clean. Spots are close together but most campers had outside room to set up chairs, stoves etc.. The best part about this site is its location. I can pedal to anything I need as well as the beach. I will be coming back here. Thanks very much

Great place, Ferry isn't always running, one is completely down, the other has "occasional" staffing issues, the one that got us to Rio Vista was open, so good their. Rabbits everywhere!....little cute ones. The are in the process of "updating", so good job there, lots of nooks and crannies to fish from, can't wait to get back!
