We named our property the Twisted Branch after one of the big oak trees that sits on the site where you will camp with us! It's on a hilltop with amazing views in nearly all directions. The campsite faces South/West so sunsets are fantastic. We use no chemicals on the soil or annual grasses. It is very quiet and the night sky is always stunning. Owls hoot at night and Redtail Hawks hunt for ground squirrels during the day. We have alot of Acorn woodpeckers living in the oak trees, the ones with the bright red head feathers. April through June we see bright yellow Orioles. At night you will hear hundreds of little frogs in the nearby ponds, depending on the season.
We are located in the heart of Wine Country and there are plenty of activities around us and in town.

There is a creek bed, usually dry most of the year, that provides excellent rock hunting and shady areas with overhanging oaks. We have grazing cattle fenced off from the camping areas and farm so you may see or hear them during your stay. The entrance to the camping area is a very wide oil pipe fenced driveway off Branch Road, designed to accommodate farm equipment and cattle trailers. Sometimes map apps say you've arrived at one of the separate residential driveways on the property. Please keep looking for the commercial sized entrance. We are a 15 minute drive to the restaurants and shopping in downtown Paso Robles, 8 minutes to the Vina Robles Amphitheater, 6 minutes to the Hunter Ranch Golf Course, and 5 min to the Sensorio Art Exhibit. We're just off the Union Road Wine Trail among the Back Roads Wineries of Paso Robles. Please be aware we cannot accept longer than 7 day bookings.

Barbara and Dan bought these 37 acres in 2005. It had no improvements. The only thing it had going for it was a 250-year-old oak tree, and its location in the heart of wine country. We would come up and camp under the tree, and plant. In 2007, we drilled a well. In 2008, Dan proposed under the tree, and we brought in power. We have continued to make improvements since. We built a little house, then we built a big house, we added farm animals, kids, fruit trees, a jam line, a pond, and more keep coming! So come up and enjoy the farm like we did in the good old days! It's kinda cool to watch if you happen to be here during our harvesting of wine grapes. If desired, contact us a few days before your scheduled stay to get the harvesting schedule.
Our tasting room is currently closed for daily tasting, the upper buildings on the property may be rented out for private parties and overnight stays. These buildings are approximately 300 yards from the hip camp location and are not in direct few of our Hip Camp site.
If you are interested in renting out the upper buildings, please inquire with host.

As of now Central Coast wineries are requiring tasting appointments by reservation under California law as of 2020. Weekend reservations are highly recommended. Weekday reservations can usually be made day of.

This land has been in our family since the early 70's and is very special to us and we hope you will enjoy what is has to offer. You will be able to escape it all, yet still be close to amenities. Our property is surrounded by winery's and vineyard, so we encourage you to take a drive or a walk and do some tastings and indulge in some of the worlds best wine.
There is a lot of wildlife near us. Deer pass through daily, owls howl at night and birds chirp all day long.

The ranch has enormous views, peaceful quiet grounds, therapy assiting animals to snuggle with and of course close proximity to the local vineyard faire. We provide a nice level parking pad with firepit ring, big views of the rolling hills and a short walk to the barnyard. Nights are full of sparkling stars and the big milky way and be seen on clear moonless nights. Bird watching is amazing here too. Our animals include; micro mini cows, minature silky fainting goats, mini horses, mini donkey, mini Kunekune pigs, mini roosters, horses and a pack of the friendliest dogs you'll ever meet. We have partnered with Forever Protected Equine, a non- profit to support the retired working horses on to our pastures wear they can live a natural equine life with friends. This is a critical time for horses well being and safety. Instead of an uncertain future or slaughter they come here to be gently cared for until their sunset day.

We have a horse, chickens, goats and pet sheep. There are lots of fruit trees, over 100 oak trees, a secret cave, and an old barn. At night you’ll hear crickets while you enjoy the fresh air. We loved staying with Ken and Judi! The site was beautiful, the views were amazing, they have included everything you could need and more you didn't realize you would want. They make arriving, setup and staying so simple. It is centrally located to so many great places to visit; SLO, Pismo, and Avila beach. I will make note that there is a small airport nearby that you will occasionally hear the planes as they take off. We definitely plan to return!

Weekend Trip to Enney's Ranch
Went here with my girlfriend for my birthday and stayed at Roadrunner Ridge. It was so refreshing to be constantly met with amazing views and such peace and quiet. 10/10 would recommend for anyone thinking of taking this trip. Kenney and Sharon’s hospitality was amazing and they were always ready to help out with anything they could. We will be returning 🩷

What a magical experience to be surrounded by peaceful rolling hills and the sounds of nature. The views were spectacular and the directions to get there were clear. The hosts went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. I brought my dogs and they also loved every moment of it.

Had a great stay at Vinyl Vineyards! Jeff and Dina were so hospitable. They had great wines and a really cool story on their vineyard.
Met some cool people staying in the trailers. My wife and had an RV rental and dry camped on the opposite side of the loop.
Bathrooms and showers were clean and hot water worked well.

Can’t speak more highly of the site. The view was beautiful, and the space was immaculate. Besides a picnic table and chairs, the stung lights were a nice touch. I made the mistake of only booking 1 night instead of 2. After cleaning up my things for the campers that had reserved the site for that night I meet the host Jeffery. He was absolutely wonderful and understanding. He was so nice he invited us to stay another night on the other side of the property. It was not yet equipped with a fire pit but before I was finished stetting up our camp, he had brought us enough rocks to build one and help me do it. We could not have been luckier to find this spot and such a kind and friendly host. 10 out 10 stars.

Yet another place we stayed that I’m wildly jealous of. Ken’s land is a perfect little oasis, tucked away but still incredibly convenient to everything you’d want to do around SLO. It’s the kind of spot that feels peaceful and private without being remote.
We went a little too hard during the day, completely forgot to grab dinner on the way back, and somehow still managed to DoorDash food straight to camp, which honestly says everything you need to know about the location.
Quiet, comfortable, and dangerously close to making you rethink your life choices and buy land in SLO. Would absolutely stay here again.

Jac’s land is truly incredible, we can’t thank him enough for letting us stay there. This has become our go-to stop whenever we’re headed back to the Bay Area. It’s a perfect little hilltop oasis, and I honestly don’t think I’ve ever stayed here without being treated to a stunning sunset.
Waking up to the cows coming over to say hello was such a joy, and it’s impossible not to fall in love with Dakota, their sweet old horse.
Jac mentioned that he and his wife are planning to build their dream home on the hill where the campsite sits, so if you have the chance, go experience this magical spot while it’s still open to campers. It’s a really special place.
