From start to finish camp was a great experience. We didn't connect face to face with Barb, but knew she was there if needed. Good, informative instruction were provided. Great camp space for our camp trailer and additional tent. Felt just isolated enough as the terrain is heavily wooded, but close to numerous locally owned coffee shops (and stores if needed) Perfect location to hit SLO and Pismo and downtown Atascadero is very enjoyable.

Was lovely spot to spend a few days. Barb came to greet us the net day and gave us some fresh eggs which we used for breakfast! Relatively quiet spot (some traffic noise) and lovely neighborhood view. The driveway is fairly narrow and it was necessary to go past the camping site and turn around to put the trailer in the right backing position. Our travel trailer is 21' so we had no problems but longer trailers might. Had a great time exploring the area-San Luis Obispo, Morro Bay and other small communities. Would recommend!

Barb was communicative and left us alone. We had 3 dogs and 3 kids, so it was a lot to juggle. We appreciated the quiet.

Barb was a very good host. Her communication was super prompt and clear and our booking was super smooth. Unfortunately, we had a problem with our van the night before arriving and had to cancel our stay. Again, Barb was incredibly responsive and very understanding. We are very impressed with the level of service she provides to her guests and are looking forward to replanning our stay on her property. Thank you, Barb for being such a great host.

A serene view of farmland with city lights in the distance. Climb a short hill and you're visiting horses, sheep and chickens. A great getaway.

This is my 2nd stay at this hipcamp. i took a friend this time - we both had 18' camper vans and the site was spacious enough for us to manuever and park in flat spots. It was peaceful, clean and felt safe. I would recommend this site and plan to stay here again.

Perfect quiet spot to land while attending an event in the area! Barb was friendly and accommodating. The spot was nice and flat with hookups. My dog and I enjoyed visiting with the animals on the property!

Great shady spot in the oak forest of north Atascadero. We're road cyclists, and this area is prime cycling territory. Spent 5 wonderful days riding all over the area, even to coast twice. This spot is close to everything the Central Coast has to offer. And you have it all to yourself! No noisy neighbors, only farm animals, deer, crickets & lots of birds. Water & electric hookups were great, plus being able to dump gray water down the hill helped extend our stay. No issues manuevering our 25' TT into the site. Much better choice than any of the overpriced, party atmosphere RV resorts in the area!

Enjoyed our stay. So quiet and perfect location. Great directions and where else can you wake up and see a 6 point buck outside. And quite a few wild turkeys! The farm animals were sweet also… would stay again…

We had the best stay at Barbs. What an incredible location! The accommodations were awesome. Having electricity and water was such an added bonus! The location was superb. We were able to wine taste and and go to the beach even. Barb was so thoughtful and very informative. It was a 5 star stay

This is a nice quiet and shady spot with a large flat area to park your vehicle/rig. About 12 minutes from Paso Robles. Right across the driveway from the hosts home. I never met her, but saw her coming and going. So, she just left me alone which I appreciated.

We needed a site with hookups and enough space to feel comfortable as we passed through the Atascadero area on a trip down the coast. We were grateful that Barb's spot fit the bill perfectly! We had hookups and water and a pen for our dogs. We were grateful for the kind greeting but equally for the space to do our thing and carry on our trip. Thank you so much for having us, Barb!

We had a great time on Barb’s property. She was quick to respond to my messages and was very clear about the do’s and don’t’s. Even though we had some rain urging the stay, the ground didn’t get muddy because she has some decomposed granite on the site, which was great. The water dripping off the leaves of the many oaks was very soothing in our trailer. The water and 30 amp hook ups worked perfectly and the site was nice and clean. Its location is perfect for exploring the Central Coast. We got to chat with Barb our last day there and she was so pleasant. We are already planning our next trip to the area and would love to stay there again.

This was a great spot! It was secluded and had power and water hookups if needed. It was also very close to Paso Robles and San Luis Obispo. We would definitely recommend this spot and would stay here again in the future!

This is a nice place to go right near 101. It was good to be up on the hillside under the oaks. We enjoyed meeting the couple of sheep and barn cats.
Was a little adventure for me to turn around and back up a 26' trailer for the first time, but there was enough room for us to get it done.

This is a wonderful place to camp when you’re visiting Paso Robles. It’s private, tucked into (Oak?) trees that filter the stars at night and the sunrises in the morning. Quite a beautiful sight.
Our host, Barb, was very helpful and welcoming. She brought over some beautiful little cheesecakes that she had just baked shortly after we arrived.
The site itself easily accommodated our 40’ rig (airstream + truck, although the listing states some concerns about larger rigs.) The location is close to town and all the amazing wineries and attractions this area offers. We wandered up the property one day and met a steer and three sweet kittens, as well as the neighbor who stopped for a friendly chat.
All of this was thoroughly enjoyable. We will return to View on a Hill!
