Weekend Trip to Sierra Circles Sculpture Garden

Such an amazing stay and I’m honestly blown away by how much there was to see and do! From unique sculptures tucked into the landscape to beautiful pottery displays, every corner had something special to discover. The summer concert series was such a fun touch — great vibes and great music. They have an organic vineyard on site! But the real standout for me was the walk with Michel. He was incredibly informative, passionate, and brought the entire space to life with his stories and knowledge. Easily my favorite part of the entire trip! Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a camping experience that’s full of character, creativity, and connection.

Weekend Trip to Sierra Circles Sculpture Garden

Michel's camp was absolutely sensational! We opted in for the concert, food truck and yummy yummy rhubarb strawberry pie ala mode! Wow! Magical evening and artistic sculptures all around! We will certainly return!

1 night at Delta Meadows River Camp

This is such a cool secret spot! Dino was awesome! He met us as we arrived, let us get settled and then gave us a quick walking tour of Locke, which has such an interesting and colorful history, we had no idea! Thanks Dino as we 100% would have missed that if not for you! There’s a great bar nearby, plus a couple restaurants if you don’t want to cook. There are some great paths for walking your dog (and lots of little bunnies hopping around) and you can be at the water’s edge of the Delta within minutes. You gotta check out Dino’s vintage campers, soooo cool. Close to Sacramento but feels so far away! Highly recommend.

1 night at River Ranch Campgrounds

Host was excellent in helping me choose a campsite I needed. I had a site right next to the creek. Creek was clean and easy access. It was exactly what I needed. I camped at 10c and would recommend either going on a less busy day or in a larger group to rent 10c and 11c together.

5 nights at Diamond Gulch

It's a relatively smaller lot, but big enough that we were not right on top of other campers. It was mostly quiet, the local cows like to be vocal in the mornings sometimes. It was nice to enjoy the outdoor showers. Attention and care are shown to the sites regularly. This spot was a great experience and we would camp here next time if we make it out to this area of California again.

This is a little slice of paradise. My animal loving 7 year old daughter and my nature loving self we're in heaven. There is so much to do here. We went canoeing twice, and my daughter is finally old enough to walk out to the other pond now, which was beautiful and peaceful. (She was a toddler the last time we came here.) We said hi to all the geese, chickens, llamas, donkeys, cows, guinea fowl, rabbits, peacocks, and the horse and pony. My daughter made good friends with 3 or 4 of Alan's very friendly dogs. He and Brian were very welcoming and helpful. Thank you!

Cool set up. Love the communal area with a full kitchen, fire pit you can cook on, table top for meals and hot tub. Great way to meet others. Bobby is actively building out the site and it’s going great!

1 night at Sierra Circles Sculpture Garden

We loved to stay here. We initially booked for 3 night but after the first night we quickly booked one more.. The sites are very nice, there is a really cool vibe. All the people we met on the property were super friendly. Our host welkomed us, showed us the property and gave us tipes about the area. We were also lucky that we could visit a concert that was somewhere on the property. The art is really cool and sunsets are amazing. We hope to be back for sure

We absolutely loved it here! Waking up to dozens of cows (and cow babies) next to our campsite was so sweet. There was even a baby donkey born the week we arrived that we got a peak of. Showers are really cool, if you shower at night you look up at the night sky and the water is HOT. Host is lovely. The nature is amazing. Great for birding, too. This will definitely be our Yosemite campground whenever we return.

2 nights at RockNWater Cove Camping

Kris's HipCamp is a great spot. She checked in with us on day one to ensure we had everything we needed. The site was clean. It was mostly shaded from the oak trees and has a beautiful view to rolling hills, oaks and wildlife. It was a short and peaceful walk to the river. The bathrooms were clean. The downsides for us would be that the Larry and Curley sites are very close to each other. We would only reserve it again if we were traveling with another family who could reserve the neighboring site - and in that case it would be a bonus because we could all be together. I would recommend the Moe site if possible because it's in a more private location just up the road. The other possible downside is the available beach is fairly small and just one small section of the river is accessible for swimming and water play. It was great for us because no one else was there when we were, but I can't imagine trying to share the small area with more campers.

For this reason, we ask all campers to be mindful about storing food and disposing of trash in the provided bins. The ranch is comprised of the camping lawns, camping facilities, several homes on the property (two Air BnB and the owner's home) and the motorcycle workshop. Car and RV campers are welcomed and there is plenty of car/RV parking on the asphalt lot outside the fence at the East Side of the property near the mailboxes at the intersection of Rte 4 and Brice Station Road.

This private lake supports the fire protection efforts of the Mosquito Fire Protection District and the firefighters of this community. We have 155 acres of the Sierra foothills just ~12 minutes from downtown Murphys. This is a working farm where we specialize in cut flowers and also grow a little food. When available we offer bouquets/eggs/veggies as an add-on. We also have plenty of firewood to scavenge or you can buy a nice stack of dry oak. There are a few different listings, so make sure to read the details on your specific listing! -The Terrace -End of The Driveway -1 Pine -2 Pine The End of The Driveway is one big site for buses/RVs/big vans next to the Soup Kitchen. 1 Pine and 2 Pine are up a separate driveway on the ridge. Then there’s the bus and camper, which are located in the main part of our property when you pull into the driveway. This is also where the camp host can usually be found. The 1st area to park/camp is the “Soup Kitchen” near the flower garden where you can enjoy an outdoor shower, kitchen space and established fire pit (see pics of the Soup Kitchen). This area is down the driveway a couple hundred yards from where we usually are so you’ll more or less be on your own, depending on if we have work to do down there or if there are other campers. We are happy to chat or leave you be, just let us know what your needs are. If you’re looking for a more isolated spot, see the listings for 1 Pine or 2 Pine. The 2nd area is “1 Pine” accessed by our second driveway that is 100 yards down the road from the farm. The driveway is kind of rough but definitely manageable with a truck, SUV or sedan if you’re willing to go for it. The drive goes up a couple hundred yards to the hilltop where there is a clearing and, you guessed it, 1 pine tree. From the back of the clearing there is a trail that leads you to 2 Pine, which is a walk that takes just a few minutes. 2 Pine is walk-in only but has great views of the sunset and is totally secluded and private and would be a good spot to either bring some friends for a little sunset party or for someone who wants to seriously unplug. There are plenty of flat spots to pitch a tent. **if you are a teacher or Pacific Crest Trail hiker let us know! We are happy to offer a discount :)
