San Diego Canyon Creek

5 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents1 acre · El Cajon, CA
As you enter into our little oasis, you'll see why we want to share the space. It is a great environment to get away from the city or pass through on your road trip. The driveway enters down to our creek-side camping where a hammock under a tree awaits a quiet reader or a bird watcher. It's just a 30 minute drive to the beach, a short walk to the neighborhood park- equipped with a playground, or a five minute drive to a local ecological reserve containing multiple trails. If you'd like to hang out on the property, we offer a table and chairs with each campsite to lounge in while enjoying the fresh air and nature. In addition, we have a propane-powered fire pit, an outdoor kitchen with full amenities, including, hot water, a two burner stove, a toaster oven and a BBQ area. The bathroom now includes a flush toilet, sink and shower. Fun Fact: Harbison Canyon was named after John Stewart Harbison - aka the King of the Bee Keepers. He arrived with over one hundred colonies of bees in 1874 and within 7 years he became the worlds largest honey producer. Today there are just a few bees in the area.

Campo Nopalito

5 sites · Lodging15 acres · Valley Center, CA
Welcome to Nopalito Farm! We’re so happy you’ve decided to spend some time on this beautiful property! In case you’re interested, here are a few interesting things about our farm. Nopalito Farm has been in operation since late 2014, but the property itself has been a working farm for over 50 years. Lemons and avocados were the primary crops from the 70’s through the 00’s, and are still prominent throughout our 15 acres. Our predecessors then diversified the growing operation by planting a wide range of fruit trees ranging from guavas and passion fruit to peaches and figs. For a decade, hops were grown on 2 acres and were sold to breweries throughout southern California. We’ve since replaced the hop yard with perennial flowers, but continue to cultivate a wide variety of delicious fruits.

Stallion Oaks Ranch (Retreat)

18 sites · Lodging, Tents243 acres · Descanso, CA
In 2003, the Grosvenor Family Foundation donated the 238-acre retreat property located in Descanso to The Unity Center. Much of the land, including more than 12 structures were destroyed during the Cedar Fires in October of 2003. In the years since the fire, members of our community have lovingly tended to the land and slowly nurtured the trees and flowers. The result is acres of pristine wilderness, with hiking trails, a small lake and even a hill of daffodils that bloom every Spring. Our vision is to create a world-class retreat center and campground that promotes spiritual renewal and personal growth in a natural setting, by providing a location for education, inner reflection, positive recreation and acceptance. The Ranch is owned by The Unity Center, a progressive spiritual community that emphasizes living consciously and making a positive difference in the world. This is a sacred and special place . So whether you're planning a retreat, a wedding or a special event, we hope you'll come away from the Ranch feeling renewed.

Robin's Nest

5 sites · Lodging, RVs5 acres · Ramona, CA
Robin's Nest is a 5-acre rescue ranch for creatures, large & small. Currently, we're home to 2 chihuahuas, 2 Australian Cattle Dogs (Lily, Alberto, Julio - aka Formerly known as The Three Chimigos and Oakley & Eddie the blue heelers), 4 pot belly pigs (Michael, Falkor, Meg, & Ayla - aka The Three Little Pigs +1), a mini horse (Phinneas), a mini donkey (Donkey), and a Buckskin Quarter Horse (Tivio), two lambs (Dolly & Reba), and 4 alpacas (Fern, Woodrow, Gandalf, & Gus). We have a lot of flat, usable space, but we also have some impressive boulders, hidden nooks and crannies to explore, and beautiful, mature trees. It's our little slice of heaven! Learn more about this land: Join the royal court and stay in our 1975 Airstream Sovereign Land Yacht! Immerse yourself in a budding rescue ranch with pot belly pigs, mini horse, and mini donkey, or take a romp on our 5 acres with lots of hidden gems to discover, or explore the many hiking trails nearby (Mt. Woodson, Potato Chip Rock, Iron Mountain). You also have access to a relaxing hot tub/jacuzzi & brand new 300sf deck. The Airstream has one King bed with a super comfy mattress and the dinette turns in to an additional King sleeping space. If you want a true immersive, farm experience, ask about our add-on experiences including grooming the animals, helping at feed time, and cleaning their pens! There's plenty of great space to ride your bikes, and it's proven to be a hit with the kiddos! The Airstream is new to the ranch and is a work in progress, but you'll love the charm of hanging out in a very cool vintage trailer. We'll soon be adding some layers of paint, shine, and lots of love, so make sure to follow our progress in fixing the ole girl up! Our location is also unique because we are fully fenced in and have a separate turn out space for your horses (check add-ons for camping with your horse). We also have a small 1954 Camper ("Lucy") that can act as a second bedroom for more sleeping space (check for add-on). **WHEELCHAIR ACCESS: We can provide a ramp for the Airstream for accessibility, though please be aware the camper is small, likely not wide enough for a standard wheelchair, and the bathroom is also small and doesn't meet ADA standards. Please ask if you have questions?!

Glamping @ Eden East

1 site · Lodging2 acres · El Cajon, CA
It's been 6 years since we purchased this amazing property from a family that has lived here for many years with many dreams...life happened and things changed, but now the dream is ours...we are so excited to be renovating this wonderful property into the vision that once fueled the spirit of the dreamer. Learn more about this land: Gorgeous YOME on elevated platform surrounded by trees. What is a YOME, you ask?  It's a wonderful mix of a yurt and a dome and it's beautiful! Find yourself chilling by the pool or taking a nice hot shower after a hike at the lake. This is glamping at it's finest. Fan, light, space heater & essential oil diffuser inside. Outdoor bathroom with hot shower and flush toilet. Grill a delicious meal on the gas BBQ. Put your drinks in the full size fridge outside.  Strong wifi throughout property. Please read everything about the space before requesting to book. We want you to know that we’re doing our part to help our guests stay safe by cleaning and disinfecting frequently touched surfaces (light switches, doorknobs, cabinet handles, remotes, etc.) before you check in. Rest assured, we are adhering to the CDC guidelines for cleaning and disinfecting our space. This is an outdoor private YOME near our pool.  There is a bathroom with flush toilet, hot shower and sink with mirror.  Access to pool, BBQ (bring utensils you would bring camping, plates, napkins, towels, etc.  There is a small sink to wash dishes (pleases only liquid down the drain) but we do not supply dishes, so paper/disposable stuff required if you plan on cooking)  Glamp experience :) Hot tub closes at 9pm. ***Please  be aware that we do not allow anyone on the property who is not a registered guest. Since the pool area is shared with our family as well as anyone staying in the Poolside Lounge and our newer loft apartment, and in the spirit of maintaining a somewhat intimate/private pool area, we ask that you please not invite your own guests.  The maximum number of people in the Yome is 3. $25/person/night after 2 guests, up to 3. Thank you.*** ***If you are unable to make it by the requested check-in time (9pm), please let us know before booking.  We will do our best to accommodate your request***  ***Who uses the pool?***Anyone staying in the yurt (max of 3), anyone staying in the apartment (max of 4), anyone staying in our loft apartment (max of 4) our family of 3 (sometimes we will have a friend or 2 over especially during summer months) including children at times and another tenant, his name is Chris and you could see him as well...he's very friendly and will be sure to introduce himself if you happen to see him.   We rarely have more than 4 or 5 people in the pool area and if we do, we try to be sure to let our guests know in advance. The pool is very large and It feels  like a small resort/boutique hotel, where you may meet some new people/friends.  There are many different seating areas around the pool and you can keep to yourself if that is what you wish to do. There are times when you may be the only people using the pool as well.  Although the pool area is way better than any apartment and most hotels, If you don't want a shared space with others around, it's probably not a great fit. You can also make your stay as private as you like on the patio or inside the yurt. *Hot tub use*Please limit use to 1 hour, especially if others want to use as well, it's pretty small. Thank you! *Please inquire if you would like to book the yurt and apartment at same time, prices are separate. Thank you. We are located on the border of El Cajon and Lakeside in San Diego (about 20 miles east of Downtown) with easy access to the 8 freeway.  We are just beginning to live our longtime dream of sharing our land and space with travelers, artists and friends.  We have a 2.5 acre property and the Yome is down at the pool, separated from the main house.   The pool, hot tub and outside bathroom is shared with our small family and anyone staying in the Poolside Lounge during the day if people are swimming, so you may meet some new people while staying at our place.  The outdoor bathroom will be shared when our family or friends are at the pool swimming or hanging out and need to use the toilet, but most likely during the evening hours, it will be all yours, we always try to give a heads up if there will be anyone using the bathroom in the evening.  There is a door with a lock, so it is private when you need privacy.  We recommend keeping your personal bathroom items in the Yome during your stay. Please note that we are very close to the 8 freeway and you can hear it in the distance at night. We offer a sound machine which helps to diffuse the noise. If you would like the hot tub on past 9pm, we can arrange that with additional fee.  If you would like this added service, please let us know so we can make arrangements.  Cost for hot tub heat is included in the rate you are paying (up to 1 hour of use) up until 9pm.   Hot tub closes at 9pm (unless you pay the extra fee) and is shared with our family and anyone staying in the apartment.  The hot tub comfortably fits 4 people max, so it's pretty small.  Please let us know if you'd like to use and we will happily turn it on and off for you, as it's manual at this time.  Please limit your time to 30 minutes if there are others staying on the property and you see they want to use as well.  Pool is not heated and costs $125/day to heat. Please let us know if you would like that added service. Thank you!  This is a pretty chill spot, a lot of family (at times) around environment, not a party pad in any way. The Yome does offer a lot of privacy, but the pool area is shared. Please don't book if you are looking for total seclusion and privacy without another soul around...this is not it. It can be cold in the winter months and warm during the summer...we try to make your stay as comfy as possible :) There is no microwave or any other way to make food other than the BBQ here, this is glamping (glamorous camping), not your regular apartment or hotel. The lighting is ambient around the pool area at night, so it's not great for doing a lot of technical things at night or cooking a full on meal that you would at home (recommend doing that while it's still light out).  That being said, it is a wonderful place to find peace, quiet and comfort.  During the summer, there's the pool outside and a fan inside and winter offers electric blanket and space heater and a fire pit at the pool. There is also a little coffee machine by the big fridge outside. This is an outdoor private YOME near our pool.  There is a bathroom with flush toilet, hot shower and sink with mirror.  Access to pool, BBQ (bring utensils you would bring camping, plates, napkins, etc.  Hot tub closes at 9pm. There is a shared refrigerator, please leave room for others to put their drinks, etc.  Anything that is not yours is ours or someone in the apartments, so please don't assume that it's up for grabs. Also, please keep your towels, bathing suits and general clutter in the area of the Yome since the pool area is shared. Thank you! We have been working to make this a special place for travelers to come and chill at the pool, relax in one of the seating areas and just have a great time while visiting San Diego.  There are lots of birds, including hawks and cute little quail. We have organic herb and veggie gardens that we’d love to share with you.  We offer fresh organic eggs from our amazing chickens for $6/dozen please let us know if you’d like some. Our gorgeous Yome has a comfy queen size real bed and a twin size futon as well as a fan & space heater. It is steps from the pool and very private.  The Yome is is situated on an elevated platform under a gorgeous canopy of Chinese Elm trees.  The trees have lot's of bird families, so that means your new alarm clock is  a bird :)  There are motion solar lights around the bathroom and walkways.  There are extra blankets if needed in the tent.  There is an outdoor bathroom (shared when anyone is at pool, mostly during summer months ) steps away with a hot shower, sink with mirror and regular flush toilet.  It is lit by solar lights, and there is a lamp and electric outlet in bathroom.  Nearby activities include Lake Jennings, which offers fishing and hiking, as well as several gorgeous parks to visit.  There are lot's of wineries in Ramona, about 45 minutes east in the mountains, as well as Julian to explore.  Our glamp is great for a weekend destination or just for a rest on your way to another adventure.  Although we love pets (we have a few dogs on the property), we cannot accept guests with pets at this time.  Parking is in our driveway across from the pool area.  Just text us when you get here and we'll make sure to show you around.  Please make every effort to check in by 9pm.  If that doesn't work, just let us know before you book and we can most likely accommodate you.  Thank you There is a fan, space heater, coffee station and a light as well as a power strip to charge your devices as well as an essential oil diffuser and soothing sound machine.  There is a little noise from the 8 freeway in the distance and the occasional dog barking from the neighbors, but the sound machine works nicely to help minimize the external noises if there are any.    We are in the process of making our land unique and magical, which means we are always working on one thing or another around the property…it's truly a work in progress at our place here.  Our vision is to transform the landscape into a complete sanctuary retreat, and it’s coming along quite nicely.  We are excited to share it with our guests and will be available during your whole stay if you need anything at all.  We are just a text away and we live on the property and are often down gardening, working, swimming, etc. Nearby activities include Lake Jennings, which offers fishing and hiking, as well as several gorgeous parks to visit.  Our glamp is great for a weekend destination or just for a rest on your way to another adventure.  The pool is not fully fenced, so we only allow kids who can swim.  Although we love pets (we have a few dogs on the property), we cannot accept guests with pets at this time.  Parking is in our driveway, which is very safe and close to the pool area.  Just text us when you get here and we'll make sure to show you around.
