Built in the 50’s it is sitting on 2 parcels and is over ½ acre in size. We also have 2 other cabins for rent in Julian for larger groups. The outhouse that you see was used when it was first built and now is for storage. The original owner built the house himself and it was originally on piers alone with no other foundation! There is a folder in the bedroom closet of the house over the years. The decorations were here when we bought it so we kept them to preserve the house’s uniqueness. We treasure this house which is nestled amongst the trees and has so many beautiful birds that visit. Many turkeys love to stop by too! If you hear the deep cooing from the monster doves (who are very shy) you can try to spot one. They are amazing. We really hope you love it as much as we do.

The Eureka Casita was the perfect quick getaway for my boyfriend and I. Jacob was super responsive and we had a great time walking around the farm and spending time in the communal areas as well! We loved spending a weekend at the cabin, with the highlight being lying down on the wood benches by the campfire and look at the stars. The cabin is well equipped with bed pillows a land and a battery to keep your tech things charged up ! Kitchen has cooking items and the bbq makes it easy to cook. Bathroom with hot water and bio toilets are very well thought.

Weekend Trip to Svatantria Boutique Retreat

Me and my partner had a lovely stay at Hellya cabin! We loved this spot especially for its view and quiet atmosphere. Parking was very close and we had a good distance from the other cabins. Keep in mind there are no heaters in this cabin but the building retained heat well at night and was cool during the day. Stuart and Janel’s dogs greeted us as we drove up and after a few barks they greeted us with snuggles! They were great company on our weekend trip. Thank you Stuart and Janel for letting us enjoy your land!

Jacob was an amazing host, the shower/bathroom area is so nice and well kept, the kitchen is stocked, the communal spaces are all comfortable, and it was overall just a wonderful experience. Our stay at Campo Nopalito was exceptional! We loved staying in the Roadrunner Cabana with our two pups, and had the best weekend enjoying nearby hikes. Jacob was an amazing host, super welcoming and helpful, and we loved getting to meet his sweet pup Gertie. Waking up to the sounds of nature and enjoying the outdoor shower were definitely highlights, as was our evening making our own pizza in the woodfire oven! I loved my stay in the Roadrunner Cabana! It was magical and everything I needed when it comes to glamping. It was the right amount of private, cozy, and relaxing. The kitchen was fully stocked with equipment (great for my partner who loves to cook). We now have a pizza oven on our bucket list because we loved Jacob’s so much! It was an amazing time! Our stay at the Roadrunner Cabana was perfect in every way. Jacob has done a great job of providing a top-tier experience. The lodging was very comfortable, with a soft bed and cozy sheets. The A-frame provides a great view with the door lifted open, especially at night when you can see the stars. The communal spaces are fantastic as well. As others have mentioned, the outdoor shower is amazing, providing water as hot as anyone could want and at a strong pressure to boot. The kitchen was my favorite part about this stay. The stove and oven are commercial grade and a joy to use, there is a massive Santa Maria-style grill, but the star of the show is definitely the wood-fired brick pizza oven. Jacob provides a chance to play around with equipment that would be impractical for many homes. He's also a great host who is always available to assist campers and provide a friendly, easy-to-talk-to presence. The site itself is easily accessible, no AWD or 4WD required. I definitely plan on booking again in the future!

Weekend Trip to Campo Nopalito

It’s the second time my husband and I stay at Nopalito farm - and we were not disappointed ! I arrived tired and sick of the city, and left after a couple days rested and happy. Jacob is great host, super nice and welcoming. We had the chance to try some passionfruits from the farm - they were delicious. The beds are so cozy, and the outdoor shower so so nice ! Highly recommend !!

4 nights at Hideout Mountain Lodge

The view is superb! And the owner is a very nice person. For back country, it’s close enough to the little town on Santa Ysabel for pie and sandwiches that grabbing those is an easy drive and well worth it.

2 nights at Svatantria Boutique Retreat

Location is beautiful, and the hosts have done so much work to make the property attractive and restful. The cabin was perfect for us, but others should know that the structures are very rustic and basic. The bedding and mattress were nice. People should prepare for a more camping-like experience and they will be happy. The kitchen and bathroom would be more useable with a few tweaks, which we will let the hosts know about. Definitely bring flashlights and possibly even your own camp stove if you want to be able to easily boil water. The hike to the cabin really is 5 minutes or less, and you should plan to carry your things over to it. The solar wasn’t functioning at the time of our visit, so we got by with battery packs charged at the house, which is a compromise for the mini-fridge since it can only power it for a little less than 24 hrs.

Weekend Trip to Campo Nopalito

Jacob's place (Nopalito Farm) was incredible! By far THE BEST glamping experience we have ever had. From the beautiful A-frame 'tiny-homes' that open up on one side, to the fully equipped and spacious outdoor kitchen, to the gorgeous setting amongst fruit trees, to the refreshing and luxurious outdoor shower (plenty of privacy awesome for night-shower stargazing), to speaking with Jacob himself (cool guy). We loved it! Clean, gorgeous, well-equipped, extremely comfortable 'camping.' We will most certainly be back. Thanks jacob!
