Built in the 50’s it is sitting on 2 parcels and is over ½ acre in size. We also have 2 other cabins for rent in Julian for larger groups. The outhouse that you see was used when it was first built and now is for storage. The original owner built the house himself and it was originally on piers alone with no other foundation! There is a folder in the bedroom closet of the house over the years. The decorations were here when we bought it so we kept them to preserve the house’s uniqueness. We treasure this house which is nestled amongst the trees and has so many beautiful birds that visit. Many turkeys love to stop by too! If you hear the deep cooing from the monster doves (who are very shy) you can try to spot one. They are amazing. We really hope you love it as much as we do.

Very special rustic & historic cabin from the 40's upgraded with 2 bedrooms and one bath. Deer and Turley in the area. Cabin is off a county paved road & easy access. Cell phone service in area. 3 miles from downtown Julian. Deer trail through property. A place to get away from it all.  Many trails near by.  Making hikers use our place to be their base camp.

Come stare space with our many friends, like the deer and turkey! You will love our amazing bungalow! “The Bungalow" is a large newly decorated home w/ new beds & furniture. Tastefully decorated to be comfortable & inviting. Enjoy the spa, bbq or firepit on those special evenings! In Pine Hills you'll see why it's the most preferred area of Julian. Mature oaks & pines await you w/ abundant wildlife. Beautiful area to walk in. Wrap around deck, Swing set, horseshoes & hammock. 5 star all the way. Book early... Perfect for retreats. We clean each and every time according to Airbnb suggested Covid 19 cleaning protocols The house is ample and open. It is great for one person to get away from it all but also for larger groups and families. For instance from the kitchen you can talk to others in the giant living room in front of the the massive fireplace. There are actually 4 bedrooms but one we use as a media room where we have a 75" Sony TV with Disney and Amazon Prime as well as Youtube TV. You can also sleep 2 on the giant cozy couch in that room that has its own full bath with a claw foot tub. One bedroom upstairs with 2 queen beds that has amazing views of the woods and wildlife down below. It also has its own bath and walk in closet. 2 other bedrooms share a full bath on the other side of the house downstairs. There is a dog run outside that is huge for your pet. If you bring a pet we only ask that you do not allow pets on the beds or furniture and that you clean up after them. There is a pet fee of $75 per pet. Due to Covid please Bring your own toiletries as well as soap, bubblebath and shampoo, etc. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the pots, pans and utensils you will need. Linens are all provided. Firewood is free to use and plenty of it. Has A/C and heat throughout. There are board games as well as puzzles and books to share. The house is beautiful and open with many many windows in each room to see the wildlife, birds and trees. We are a Christian family so we do have some Christian items around the house. The driveway is concrete so easy to navigate and plenty of parking. Walking in the neighborhood is very special and level. Biking in the area is amazing too! Pets are are an extra $75 fee per pet and not allowed on couches or beds! This house is very private and surrounded by oaks and pines. If you want serenity and quiet with beautiful views and lots of birds singing this is the place for you. Guest access House and yard. Not the garage Other things to note There is a wheel chair ramp if needed. Also an Alexa that answers to the word "Echo" to play music and tell you the news and much more.

We call the view from this house "A Living Canvas". The views are always spectacular. 2500 SQ ft home overlooking Lake Cuyamaca & the Pacific Ocean. Fishing, boating & hiking trails close by. Downtown Julian w/ amazing restaurants & shops 15 min away. Exclusively Quiet & gated. Star gazing w/ no city lights w/ our prof telescope is amazing. Search engine 15574 North Peak for a video. The cabin was very cute and homely. it was perfect for my partner and I and we enjoyed the cozy feel. very close to the main area of julian but a decent drive to other sights like borrego springs, santa ysabel, etc! would stay here again!

The Deer Bungalow w/ spa
The bungalow was perfect for a short weekend with the family and our dogs. It was more spacious than I expected and had everything we needed from kitchen items to board games. We loved taking walks around the house during the day, seeing the deer, turkey, birds, and squirrels come to the watering hole in the backyard, and watching movies in the ‘theatre room’ at night. The town was also just a short 7 min drive away which was really convenient. The hosts John and Leslie were amazing as well - they gave us detailed check in notes, were extremely responsive, and even left us one of Julian’s famous apple pies as a welcome gift! We loved our stay and hope to come back, maybe next time in the winter!

Quiet, Cozy and Lovely Cabin
Time Traveler Retreat
Stayed here for one night with my wife and young daughter for one night. Absolutely loved it. The decor is beautiful, it's quaint but with 2 bedrooms has plenty of space. The patio is large and we dined there for all our meals. Location is great, there are neighbors, but it's quiet and great for star gazing. I highly recommend this place and I would love to stay here again.

Great location close to heart of J
Time Traveler Retreat
Great location - close to heart of Julian so you can pick up pie on the way there. Really liked that we were just off the beaten path at the end of a road. Had a hot weekend with AC to keep us cool. We appreciated the large deck and did bring charcoal for their BBQ. Nice shower and old style tub. Again really liked the fact this place has the great cabin feel with such a quick drive to The Main Street of Julian
