If you are booking the main site for spring 2024 onward, please be aware that there may be up to two additional parties camping on the property at that time. However, the three campsites are each in separate areas so you will likely not encounter the other parties except in passing on the road to/from the creek.** IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE: 1) For ease of access, and to get the most out of your experience, we highly recommend a 4WD vehicle with clearance. 2) The creek is at the bottom of the canyon, 1.3 miles from the gate at the entrance, and the road down is very steep in parts. Frogs croak, bats dart here and there and big mouth bass become airborne in search of dinner in the early evening hours. Blue and White Heron visit the pond often – gracefully soaring over the pastures and pond in search of a safe place to land among the Iris. Watching them calculate a strategy to catch a meal, while appearing to stalk in slow motion – FASCINATING! Upwards of 40 Canada Geese goslings are hatched yearly on the grounds of HartSong. It’s absolutely adorable to watch the little ones as they frantically paddle along behind their moms. In addition and if you’re an early riser, you will most certainly feel blessed to observe the loving, yet stern, communications between Canada Goose parents (life- long mates) as they teach their young to fly - every morning at sunrise in the spring. Fire head of cattle (that have never known anything other than kindness), graze the pastures beyond the pond. Yes, they all have names and yes, they are all as sweet as can be. Their tranquility is contagious. The "one and only" ALP campsite is large enough to accommodate 9+ large tents. Only one camping group occupies this campsite. It's a great location, likely smaller than other listings but a perfect place to City Camp. Guests are welcome to pick whatever is growing in my edible garden. Sacramento State University is less than three miles as well.

We dreamed of living on an Alaskan TV show but fell in love with this forest getaway. Come play in the creek and hike miles of trails through giant mossy oaks and house sized granite boulders. Our farm is home to a whole family of animals and a great foundation for learning techniques to grow your own dreams. We offer campstites, a yurt, and a cabin - so please review listings for specific amenity information.A stream runs Jan. - July but there are plenty of local spots full of rivers, lakes, and all the wine you can drink :) ask for recommendations after booking! Our fire pits have all been replaced with propane fire rings as camp fires are illegal in our area from June thru November. We have also provide enough propane for your stay :)Our guests love it here: "The yurt was so cozy and stocked with everything wr could possibly need. My son and I enjoyed exploring the property during the day. At night we snuggled in front of the wood stove and played with the Lincoln Logs and Roasted or Toasted game. Everything was clean including the outhouse. We would love to stay here again sometime."

Learn more about this land: We have an adorable country decorated loft above a horse barn. Horses are on pasture, and equestrian guests are welcome to bring their horses to keep in the paddocks behind the barn. The loft above the barn is fully furnished and has a great kitchen and queen sized bed as well as single rollaway, sleeping mat for toddlers and a PAC-N-Play for babies. There is a little deck off the back to enjoy a glass of wine or morning coffee. You can see the Tahoe snow caps and also look over a gold-rush era cemetery. This area is known for wonderful trails for hiking, biking and horse riding. The American River rafting is popular in the summer and early fall months. With all the rain this year, the river is high and moving! We have 2 cruiser bicycles that guests are welcome to use and Cronin Ranch trail head is at the end of the street. This is a ranch with many animals you can enjoy. Fresh eggs from the chickens are available when the ladies are laying. There are also Dwarf Nigerian goats from which I make goat milk soap. Teddy, Stella and Hazel are the ranch livestock guard dogs and Willow is the funny little basset hound running around the ranch with her daughter Winter! We have an organic garden and fresh veggies available in summer and we love to share the bounty! One and pick your veggies for dinner! There is a shared pool behind the main house for those hot days, as well as the American River close by. We will be happy to give guests their privacy if you want to use the pool. We have updating the outdoor furniture to include a lounging area, picnic table, propane and small charcoal grill, as well as fire pit with chairs. In the loft there are non-breakable dishes and glasses to use outside or by the pool. **News flash! We had a fillies born in March and May 2023, along with triplet goats born April 2023!

If you are booking the main site for spring 2024 onward, please be aware that there may be up to two additional parties camping on the property at that time. However, the three campsites are each in separate areas so you will likely not encounter the other parties except in passing on the road to/from the creek.** IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE: 1) For ease of access, and to get the most out of your experience, we highly recommend a 4WD vehicle with clearance. 2) The creek is at the bottom of the canyon, 1.3 miles from the gate at the entrance, and the road down is very steep in parts. Watching them calculate a strategy to catch a meal, while appearing to stalk in slow motion – FASCINATING! Upwards of 40 Canada Geese goslings are hatched yearly on the grounds of HartSong. It’s absolutely adorable to watch the little ones as they frantically paddle along behind their moms. In addition and if you’re an early riser, you will most certainly feel blessed to observe the loving, yet stern, communications between Canada Goose parents (life- long mates) as they teach their young to fly - every morning at sunrise in the spring.
