Such a beautiful setting! Perfect for a camping/nature getaway without dozens of other campers around if you were to camp at a public site. Chris and Rebecca were so welcoming and full of local recommendations, but we still felt like we had the quiet we were looking for.

after quite a few hipcamp trips - chris & rebecca’s place is absolutely one of my very favorites. chris was an absolute joy & went above & beyond to make my stay great. he gave lots of helpful info about the area & i checked out some of his suggestions that did NOT disappoint!! do yourself a favor & book this oasis. you absolutely will kit regret it!!

This place is stunning! You can make a fire, look at the stars, and the view from the little cabin is enough for you to want to wake up and spend time outside. Chris and Rebecca are really nice and welcoming, good communication! I would definitely go back!

Chris and Rebecca were great hosts. Chris greeted us on his ATV about 1/2 mile out and escorted us in. My wife,10 yo daughter and me really enjoyed the beauty, privacy and leaning ess at the platform site. Payed the extra $35/ day to sleep in the small room. Sunrise and sunset spectacular to say the least. We will be back and would recommend the campsite for all types of campers!

Really epic property and perfectly set up camp site… very friendly hosts, have everything you may possibly need. Sunset views over the ridge, tree swings, hammocks everywhere, lot of great perks. Very convenient to get to town in ≈5min, also great hiking and fishing, with legendary swimming holes on the yuba river easier accessible in <15min. Highest possible recommendation, will definitely be back!

Very cool spot to camp out at with beautiful views and close to the river. No need to worry about neighboring campers but still close to the main house. We got spooked out our last night due to lurking wildlife so would recommend staying in the little house if you’re not traveling in a big group.

Fantastic stay! This was our first Hipcamp and we were really blown away by the experience that Rebecca & Chris has created. The spot is very secluded and exceptionally well cared for – the little house stayed surprisingly pleasant in spite of the heat outside.
Chris' gave us a personalized tour and provided a bunch of excellent suggestions for our stay in the area, including a bunch of insider tips that I won't divulge here – you'll just need to book the Platform of Pleasure to find out!

I recently stayed at the love shack site with my two toddlers and it was nothing short of perfection. I usually dry camp but didn’t feel like lugging all the equipment solo with both kids, so I booked this spot on a whim. The accommodations were luxurious yet cozy, blending perfectly with the environment. The nights were clear and the star gazing was incredible. I didn’t want to leave! What truly made the experience exceptional, though, was the warmth and hospitality of the owners. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable, and made us feel like we were part of their family. This site is a gem, and I can't recommend it highly enough for anyone looking for a memorable and heartwarming escape. We will definitely be returning ❤️

The views were absolutely breath taking! There was another site across the way, but it wasn’t noisy at all. The drive was very nice and scenic, mountains galore! The tent itself was comfy and spacious enough for 2! The area we were at was super spacious campsite wise; definitely a lot to do! My fiance and I had to leave early due to an emergency, but Chris was super understanding and overall the most friendly host I’ve ever met! Definitely worth the price and the trip!

I loved camping here! The view was fantastic, the host was very helpful and nice. We tent camped but rented the generator and string lights, which were worth it. I would definitely make a trip back here to camp again!!!

We had a fantastic stay at the Love Shack, it was a very comfortable and stylish camping experience. The hosts were very friendly and will make sure you have everything you need. The tent is close to the main house but it doesn't feel crowded, you will feel in nature.

Hands down the nicest HipCamp experience I have had to date! I enjoyed it so much that I even booked their other site to return in a few months. The tent and platform were spotless and very nicely decorated. Chris and Rebecca are responsive hosts, and gave us loads of suggestions for how to get to the river, where to hike, and even how to park to avoid local tickets. There is NO light pollution at night, so we sat up until midnight watching stars and chatting. Very special place!

We had such a positive and amazing experience here! Chris & Rebecca welcomed us with open arms and phenomenal hospitality! The amenities were perfect, as well as the shower and bathroom were clean!
