This Peaceful offgrid treehouse and camp site are perfect for your quite mountain getaway, only 15 minute drive from the beautiful yuba river with its gorgeous swimming holes and crystal clear water Pardons crossing and Oregon Creek day use area are some of the best spots. 4 Wheel or AWD is REQUIRED. It is steep terrain to access the property. Its also near historic Nevada City and only 5 minutes to the Ananda Masters market which is a wonderful local health food store! This property is a true off-grid experience. There is no power. If you need lights, please bring battery powered or solar powered lights or your own portable generator and power bank. There are solar lights at the tree-house and on the trail to the campsite. Being off-grid means that there will be dust, leaves, bugs & and dirt because those are all present in nature. We keep the treehouse clean, but this is in a forest. There will be maple-leaves and pine leaves that fall on the outside table at the Treehouse. This is a natural forest environment. We want the forest to do forest things. On the property there are 3 hammocks setup in the shade of Maple trees. Sunset views and ripe blackberries this time of year add to the off-grid experience! There are also trails to around the property to explore. Amazing sunset views and cool quiet mornings provide a calming environment. Come enjoy the healing peace and quiet of the forest. Breathe in the fresh air and treat your self to restful afternoons on the soft sandy beaches of the yuba river. We are a small privately owned small campground (20 sites only) located on the outskirts of Placerville. The property features 86.5 secluded Tahoe like acres with beautiful year-round Weber Creek. The camp sites are placed along the creek or the bluff overlooking the creek. We have traditional dirt camping, canvas tents on platforms, teepees and glamping tents for those that want the comforts of home. We are tent camping only with only one site that allows a small travel trailer or van. (#14) . We are dog friendly and allow dogs in all but 5 glamping sites. We do enforce camp rules especially our quiet time between 10 PM and 7 AM We’ve been told that we have a “family camp” vibe. We are a great place for families wanting a safe environment for their kids but also several group sites for those that want to hang out together with multiple families. We are also a great base site for those wilderness enthusiasts with access to all the El Dorado National Forest including Desolation but want a hot shower at the end of the day. We have a lodge that is stocked with games and a ping pong table. The lodge has a microwave, Keurig machine and a hot water kettle for those hot drinks (BYO Cups).We have several tables set up for those that want to eat inside as well as multiple picnic tables along the side of the lodge with overhead protection. We have electricity at the at the lodge for small appliances and charging phones. We have a compressor on site to blow up your air mattresses or float toys. We’ve been told that our bathrooms are the “cleanest” ever and have changing tables and diaper pails. We offer nice flushing toilets and hot showers! We have many extra amenities including a compressor to use for your air mattresses, For outdoor activities we have basketball, volleyball, pickleball and cornhole not to mention the playground with swing set . We have hiking trails throughout the property. Our highlight is a camp fire bowl with bench seating with a stage to display camper talent which is perfect for the evening fire and roasting s’mores (bring the fixings). The creek starts out in spring looking like a rushing river featuring many fishing and swimming holes. As the summer progresses the water level falls but is still great for water play and fishing. We have propane BBQs (we provide the propane for BBQs) located throughout the property. We also have a propane grill and charcoal BBQ located in the common area for all to use. There is a dutch oven pit also in the fire bowl area. We do not allow wood fires at the individual sites but each site has a propane firepit for ambiance (not cooking) that requires you to purchase a 20 lb. propane cannister on site (add in extras) or pay cash on site. No internet service. There is limited internet only available for purchases at the setore. We require a 3 night minimum for the major holidays - Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day. We do exclusive events so you may need to explore multiple weekends to find the right reservation. We are located in the foothills so we are a short hop to many local attractions that include river rafting, gold mines, wineries and historical towns with great eating establishments. Tahoe is less than an hour away and there a many hiking trails within 20-30 minutes. We have a limited number of items to rent i.e, tents, cots, camp stoves, etc. We rent a battery pack for those that use a cpap. We also have a small store on site for those items you forgot and a good selection of ice cream and ice. We take venmo or cash.

Beautiful, cozy, quiet, comfortable cabin among the trees. A perfect spot to disconnect over a rainy weekend. We loved the windows, and exploring the trails with our dogs. Quite rustic, pack like you’re tent camping; but much more luxurious and comfortable than a tent for the winter time. The hosts were responsive and helpful.

It was an amazing experience! Definitely a great way to seperate yourself from the hustle and bustle of everyday living. The site had amazing reception for us (xfinity mobile). With that being said, it is outdoor living. No electricity, low lighting and somewhat rough terrain for the inexperienced. I went for our wedding anniversary and made an amazing night. This was possible through being overly prepared and we loved it. I would recommend this site to anyone, but with the emphasis with being prepared. Suggestions for the trip: Light, hiking boots, and a nice glass of wine to enjoy the nights sky. P.S. Solen was an amazing host and answered our questions with quick response.

We loved staying at the tree house! The location is super quiet and peaceful, the views were wonderful. Easy to find following Solen’s instructions. We loved taking outdoor hot showers. We brought some with us but Solen had left plenty of bug repellent which was helpful. One thing we’d recommend improving is the bed which is a pad on the floor as the pictures show and we found it quite thin so not the most comfortable but other than that it was a lovely experience!

We loved our stay at the forest treehouse! It was the perfect fit for our small group and dogs. We loved that the location was close to the river and town. We got a little lost finding the road at first but the directions from the host helped us locate it without issues. There weren’t many bugs and we liked how secluded it felt. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone with mobility issues because there it is on a steep hill with uneven ground. We appreciated the amenities- from the outdoor kitchen to the composting toilet! We would definitely stay here again.

Forest rejuvenation! I had such an incredibly peaceful time at the treehouse, exactly what I was needing to unplug from the energy of the fast-paced world, and recharge in the rhythms of nature. Deep breaths all week surrounded by the trees, the birds, & breeze- my cup is full! Perfect for nature lovers, the basic comforts are covered, so the emphasis is on enjoying the beauty surrounding you. Can’t beat taking a relaxing shower(with hot water!) in the middle of a forest. Solen went above and beyond to make sure I had all I needed, I really appreciated the solar powered lantern & fairy lights in the evening when the sun went down. He showed me around the trails on the property & how to access the yuba from the tree house, it’s an adventurous hike for sure but man oh man the swimming hole was out of this world. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m needing a whimsical treehouse getaway.

We had a wonderful time staying at the treehouse :) the home is very cute and cozy with great views and the property is quite big. We especially appreciated the deck to hang out and watch the sunset through the trees. I feel like Solen goes above and beyond to provide a good experience, providing towels, hammocks, bug spray, citronella candles, and kitchen equipment. There’s a shower and sink with running water and a composting toilet as well. It was quite perfect for two people and a dog to enjoy some peace and quiet.

We rented both the camp site and treehouse. Great camp site if you are into to remote camping. Bring LOTS of bug spray. Stolen was very helpful in leading us to the site and showing us around. 4-wheel or AWD is needed to get to the site. There is a an outdoor shower with hot water, level areas to set up tents, a small table and grill. The treehouse is perfect sleeping for a small family or couple. By the treehouse is a wash station and cook stove. If you prefer to be on your own away from big campgrounds this is a good spot. It’s not far from Yuba access and swimming.

Definitely for real outdoor enthusiasts! who don't mind hiking and bugs. 10/10 recommend! I spent two nights in this sweet little tree house. Solen thought of the little details such as insect repellent and bug spray throughout the grounds, a power charging bank and towels.

Solen was a lovely host, who knows the area really well. The spot is beautiful, if rustic (was fine for my crew, and a great deal!) and a short drive from both Nevada city and the river. I’d recommend bringing bug spray and Technu for poison oak, if you’re going to stay here, and hang out in the area in general.

The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained. The large lawn was great for playing frisbee, and the swings added to the fun. The treehouse itself is charming. However, the map is a bit misleading — the treehouse is located directly off the main path, so it doesn’t offer much privacy. It’s a short and easy walk to the main bathroom and dishwashing area, where you can access drinking water.

The hosts and caretaker were friendly and helpful. The camp grounds itself was lovely, as was the campsite. Lots of mosquitoes but I believe regular spraying is done. The best part is despite how full the campsite was, you don’t feel the crowd. Great for large group camping is there is something for everyone from tent camping to glamping.
