There is also a small canyon on the property with a larger stream called Mud Creek. The land is rich in Indian history and there a artifacts and other signs on the Indians presence. The Cohasset area is relatively unknown. 15 miles from our property is Deer Creek and the Lasson National Forest is about a 2 hour drive north. While staying with us you can pitch your tent on our private 500 acres. We have 2 primitive camping spots on our property. Each spot has a picnic table and fire pit. There is a flush toilet shared for both camp sites. * During freezing weather the toilets may be closed so they don’t freeze! Please check before booking *The spots are spread out to ensure privacy. Our property is surrounded by the forest and is loaded with deer, squirrels, turkeys and other forest animals. We have numerous walking trails, a fresh water pond for fishing and swimming. Please notify us if you have an RV. Site 1 is best for RV's. Site 2 can accommodate smaller RV's.

(Dock may no longer be in the water after September) There is a sani-hut potty which is maintained/cleaned weekly. The property is located between the lake and the highway, so there will be road noise. Some guests have been bothered by the traffic and some have not. We have 2 SUP boards, 3 kayaks, and a canoe as well as a 5-person pedal boat that can be borrowed while renting our beach. Doing so will be at your own risk and you are required to wear personal floatation devices (lifejackets). Lifejackets are not provided, so you will need to bring your own. We ask that you please respect our toys and take care not to damage them or lose any parts/pieces. ALL RENTERS MUST TAKE THEIR OWN TRASH WITH THEM WHEN THEY DEPART No Fireworks, No firearms, No drugs allowed. Dogs are allowed and we do have a 10 x 10 x 6 kennel onsite. Campers are responsible for minding their pet's safety, politeness, and picking up their poo-poo's. Marshmallow roasting/cooking fires must be kept small and are only allowed in the provided fire ring. There is some small firewood onsite, and if you need more you can purchase nearby at Almanor Landscape Supply or bring your own. The early mornings are tranquil, and the sunsets are STUNNING! We want the forest to do forest things. On the property there are 3 hammocks setup in the shade of Maple trees. Sunset views and ripe blackberries this time of year add to the off-grid experience! There are also trails to around the property to explore. Amazing sunset views and cool quiet mornings provide a calming environment. Come enjoy the healing peace and quiet of the forest. May through October there is a bath and shower house with hot water and flush toilets. Propane fire pits are available for rent. We have an ice machine on in the summer months located by our Main Lodge. The winters are cold and snowy, spring and fall are ideal with warm sunny days and cool, crisp nights, and the summer has warm evenings and hot days. There is plenty of shade with large pine, cedar and oak trees and open sunny space in the meadow. Coppercreek Camp is your perfect mountain getaway for the whole family! Please note: The Dixie fire burned our town of Greenville in August 2021. There is ongoing repair work in the local area, a lot of burned forest, but still many beautiful sites to see. Much of our property burned, but we are rebuilding and have beautiful green trees with plenty of shade. All of our pictures on HipCamp are post-fire and up-to-date. Please come and support our special town as we rebuild! The town of Greenville is located about 5 minutes from our property and offers a grocery store, Dollar General, gas station with mini mart, and wonderful food trucks. There is only one spot available at our property to reserve as we leave our trailer up there for most of the summer. The good news is you will have the place all to yourselves unless we happen to be there which is not very often and we will let you know if we overlap. This spot has a 30 amp RV plug and a sewer connection. There is no water or trash service so please bring your own water and practice pack in/pack out practices. This spot is for RV's only with a full restroom as we don't have restroom facilities onsite. This is a very quiet spot but does have a few neighbors within earshot so if you are planning on a party spot or having loud music this is not the spot for you. There is a large smoker/BBQ that is not maintained but is available for your use if you want, we have used it several times and it works great. There is also a firepit to use when fire season permits. We are only 4 miles from Graeagle, which is a great little town to explore and eat some ice cream in the park. There are many great lakes to explore in the immediate area including Lake Davis, Gold Lake, Upper Salmon Lake, and of course upper and lower sardine which are my favorites.

We have lived on the farm now for over 21 years. The back part of the property was a stop point for the stage line between Oroville and Bangor during the 1880, Then gold was discovered on the property. There were multiple Gold claims on this property. The Old rock pilings are still there to explore. It is a favorite spot for finding Jasper, some Agates and quartz. Campers are welcome year-round to this tent site on the old Gold Claim of our 20-acre family farm! Drive right up to this fun-filled, family-friendly campsite, easily accessible by cars and SUVs alike - though 4WD is helpful during the rainy season. This site features two seasonal streams that cross on the property, as well as bushes full of ripe blackberries - if you catch them at the right time, help yourself. You'll enjoy hearing the birds echoing through the trees and could easily see deer tip toeing through the woods. Dogs on leash only. We raise 4H and FFA show and market goats, llamas, and a donkey and a cow, all of whom are very friendly! You'll also see our chickens, ducks, peacocks, and guinea hens. Rock pilings are on the island between the two seasonal streams that cross our land. Gold panning, hiking and creek walking is available on the property. Campers are welcome to stargaze in the field, create scavenger hunts for the kids, or simply sit back and enjoy the tranquility. The streams dry up in late June and fill up in November when the rains start. Trank Family Farm is 30 minutes from Lake Oroville, 20 minutes from Oroville Wildlife Area and the Feather River - great for kayaking, swimming, and fishing! Be sure to check out the trails and seasonal waterfalls at Table Mountain, 35 minutes away. There are 2 Indian Casinos & Hotels in Oroville, as well as 2 golf ranges - and all with in 20 minutes of the camp site. The college town of Chico is about 30 minutes outside of Oroville. If you want to explore farther, Butte Mountain range and the city of Paradise, CA is 45 minutes away. We can't wait for you to come visit!

Stargaze or fly kites in our Great Meadow or admire copious wildflowers and other native plants on over 80 acres of wilderness. We provide a variety of recovering wilderness areas near water faucets, pit toilets and an RV dump station. Our site features mature forests, grassy meadows, a year-round creek in a fire recovery zone. The site also features lakefront shoreline access for bank fishing, a central fire pit and lots of space for group camping. Fires are permitted in the central pit when weather allows. The Lake Concow/Konkow Campground is a wilderness sanctuary and houses many variety of rare and endangered plants, animals, and insects. Please be aware of and give respectful space to all of the residents of the park. The list of year round residents may include poison oak, thorny berry vines, mosquitoes, ticks, spiders, deer, eagles, osprey, owls, squirrels, skunks, foxes, bears, mountain lions, snakes, bats, and more. Please be responsible for personal camp supplies and trash. The Campground is a Pack In/Pack Out location and garbage cans are supplied near the office house near the entrance. Good hiking shoes, protective clothing, and hats are recommended. All Campground faucets supply delicious, potable water tested regularly. The modern listings spell the name Concow, Ancestors spelled it Konkow. Both are correct, though may give different search results. There is plenty of room for parking large vehicles and for turning around. TOW VEHICLES MUST STAY THE DURATION OF THE CAMPING VISIT. Quail Ridge RV Park has 17 acres nestled in the Plumas National Forest. We do NOT have direct water access. We are surrounded by four lakes, with Sly Creek and Lost Lake Reservoirs being the closest (about 3 mi. north of us), two major rivers and Feather Falls, the 3rd largest waterfall in California. Outdoor activities abound with fishing, swimming, boating, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, hiking trails and mountain biking trails. You can also explore the local rivers and try your luck at gold panning. Our park is primarily divided into three areas: (1) we have 7 dedicated RV sites for weekend RV's that have full hook-ups, which include 30/50 amp. electric, water and septic connection (no pull through sites); (2) an area in the middle of the park where permanent residents live; and (3) a large area for volleyball, lounging, and playground on the opposite side of the park. Sorry, but due to the always present fire danger, no wood burning fires are allowed. You may use your own propane fire ring or propane or charcoal grill. We have clean laundry and showers and flush toilets on the north side of the park. There is one shower and one flush toilet for each men and women that are handicapped accessible. Showers cost $1 for 12 minutes of hot water. Cell phone service is spotty. AT&T/Cricket and sometimes Verizon work the best. We now have free Wi-Fi in the park! Quail Ridge RV Park is very pet friendly, and we have a beautiful new dog park for our 4-footed friends. However, we cannot accept aggressive breed dogs, or Pit-Bull mixed dogs (sorry, but our insurance company restricts these breeds). Please identify the dog breed when you are making a reservation. You reach our four acre property after a stunning drive along a scenic highway. In the winter and spring everything is blanketed in green that gives way to wildflowers and golden hills in the summer. We are located two miles from the Lake Oroville Lime Saddle launch ramp where you can find spots to swim or launch your boat for a fun day at the lake. Hiking trails and a variety of outdoor activities are available nearby. Table Mountain State recreation area, a great place to view wildflowers and waterfalls in the spring, is five miles away. Take a drive up highway 70 along the Scenic Feather River and view the lake as well as the majesty of the canyon. We are just 15 - 20 minutes from towns in three directions so restaurants, museums and shopping are all within an easy drive. At the top of our property you will find a grass volleyball court, and a batting cage to keep you busy while you are at your campsite. Other outdoor games are also available. The views of the valley at sunset are spectacular. The lower portion of our property is home to a seasonal creek that supports wild blackberry bushes as well as other wild plants and flowers. The property is home to numerous trees as well. The blackberries are usually ripe for a couple of weeks from late June to early July and are delicious. The wild grapes usually ripen in September. Obviously I can't control when the fruit ripens, but you are welcome to help yourself if it is ripe when you are visiting. We have 4 large sites with full hook ups as well as space for smaller trailers if you are traveling as a group and need some extra space. The blackberries have thorns. The area is rural so naturally we have wildlife, including bears, bobcats, mountain lions, deer and rattlesnakes. While we rarely see any of our furry friends you should be aware that they do wander through from time to time. We also have dogs. They have collars to keep them away from your space, but if you wander the property be aware they do too. We are located on the corner of Pentz / Highway 70. They are not busy roads, particularly in the evening, but they do have a fair amount of traffic in the daytime. Overall the area is very quiet and peaceful. Please help us respect our neighbors by abiding by quiet hours.

This place is wonderful base camp to spend time at the yuba river or hike in the mountains.

I loved my one night stay and really wish I could have stayed longer. Beautiful property and many flowers were still in bloom. Erin and Eric are very hospitable and made me feel welcome. The sunset was spectacular. Oh so quiet and enjoyed listening to the cows in the early morning. I will definitely be back.

Ron and Kristin’s ranch was beautiful. The campsite was great and very well set up. The pond was a really good addition with fun boats and kayaks next to it. Ron even suggested a hike down to another creek which was great.

Weekend Trip to Maple Creek Ranch

My family and I had the best time camping at Maple Creek Ranch. We stayed at Site 2, which was privately nestled among the trees—clean, flat, and perfectly peaceful. The site included a deep firepit and a sturdy picnic table, making it easy to relax and cook meals together. The amenities were fantastic. There was a spotless outhouse just about a hundred feet away (with a flushing toilet!), and a hot shower next to the pond. The pond itself was stocked with bluegill and bass, and my family caught their first-ever fish there—an unforgettable memory! But the highlight of our stay was Ron, the host. He’s an absolute gem—so kind, genuine, and full of great stories. He brought us firewood and water and when my car battery died on our last day, he didn’t hesitate to drive over with his truck and give me a jump. His hospitality truly made our trip special. We’ll absolutely be coming back and can’t recommend Maple Creek Ranch enough to anyone visiting the Cohasset/Chico area!

I absolutely loved camping at Mill Creek! The scenery was beautiful, and the sound of the creek flowing nearby made the whole trip feel extra peaceful. It felt so nice to escape for the weekend, relax, and just soak up nature. I also really appreciated that they offered firewood right there at the site. It made campfire time super convenient and stress-free! Having cell signal was a nice bonus too, since it allowed me to stay connected with loved ones while still enjoying an unplugged vibe. Everyone around was friendly and courteous. We did have a neighboring camper who got noisy at first, though they became more respectful once reminded about the quiet hours. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely come back again!

Maple Creek was awesome! Very peaceful and Ron was super helpful and friendly. Despite the fact that there was an event taking place on the property the same weekend, I felt like I had the whole place to myself. The flush toilet is also a gem! I will definitely be staying at Maple Creek again.

The campsite is on a beautiful property with close proximity (about 1 hrish) from Lassen NP and 30 mins from town. There’s a beautiful creek that runs right through the land. Dog friendly and lots of dog friendly hikes near by. Loved our stay and would definitely come back!

Mill Creek Resort is magical! This is the perfect location for exploring Lassen National Park or just being. The grounds are lovely and Mill Creek runs along the edge of the property. I stayed in an rv spot and those sites are close together, but I didn’t mind and I appreciated the convenience of having water, power and sewer hook ups. There was a small creek running behind the rvs, which is nice sound to fall asleep to. Nice people there and a really great vibe. I will definitely be back!

Weekend Trip to Quail Ridge RV Park

Our first time using hip camp and camping in this area. We have a pop-up trailer and two dogs. The hosts are wonderful. The bathroom is spacious and clean with good water pressure. People respected the quiet hours. There were lots of trees and shade. We left for the majority of the day and nothing that was left outside or inside our trailer was touched. We would stay here again.

Weekend Trip to Bigfoot Lodging Vacation Rentals

BigFoot Lodging campground is a beautiful little hidden gem. With healthy tall pinetrees there is shade and beauty at each site. Sites are wide with plenty of room for a tent if someone in your crew doesn't want to sleep in the RV (our daughter!). Picnic table at each site. Fire pits, although there are no grates over the fire pits in case you wanted to cook that way. GORGEOUS little waterfall 5 min walk from the camping sites. Helpful hosts. Small store with all those little things you forgot. Firewood available for $10 per bundle, cheaper than the convenience store or the dollar store in Shingletown. It's just a really pretty little campground that we will definitely be returning to!
