Stairs are very steep to loft, with open railing upstairs. Please review pic's before booking. Adults only. The larger main cabin on property, is rented separately. Our cabin is in the Santa Lucia mountains and immersed in nature. Please be aware that wildlife is apart of the rugged Big Sur Coast and mountains. Wildlife encounters are something that is not out of the ordinary. From raccoons, skunks, deer, mountain lions, bats, mice, spiders snakes and all types of birds. We have exceeded measures of to keep occurrances to a minimum and have monthly pest control services. BUT can't guarantee you will not be met with wildlife. ANY ENCOUNTERS DURING YOUR STAY, WILL NOT BE ISSUED A REFUND. If you do not feel comfortable with the paragraph, then please do not book our cabins. Recommendations in Big Sur is Ventana Inn, Post Ranch or something in Carmel or Monterey. 1 Dog allowed, pre-approved by owner and $70fee. No aggressive breeds. Under 50 lbs. At the beginning of our road, it has a "road closed sign". You CAN get to our cabin. Our road is residential and a dead end. So there is not need to go past our cabin. Weekend Trip to The Coastal Redwood Cabin | Creek

This is a lovely place to go for a little R&R! Easy to get to, serene location nestled within the redwoods. There's stairs that lead you to the river. Comfortable bed and good quality bedding, complimentary snacks and coffee. We went in November so the hottub was perfect for the cool nights. Close by Capitola, which we love to visit and did some hiking at Nisene Mark's State Park. We recommend this spot and may be back next year.

The yurt was clean and cozy. The heater worked so well and I loved having a kitchenette. The bed was very comfortable! We love the yurt. It is obvious how much love and effort is poured into it. Thank you! We loved the alpacas, the evening fog in the Eucalyptus trees and the cat. We found the compost toilet to be more comfortable than we thought as well.

1 night at Misthaven Ranch Nature Retreat

We had a wonderful time glamping here! Big thanks to Joe, the ranch owner, for his warm hospitality. Both the adults and our 4 yr old kid loved this place! For a family like ours who’s a bit too lazy to pitch our own tent but still wants to experience camping, this was the perfect outdoor getaway. The tent was incredibly clean and spacious. Joe also has so many exciting plans and ideas for this site — we can’t wait to see how it evolves. We’ll definitely be back!

our anniversary! a sweet kitty cat welcomed us. we crunched through eucalyptus leaves and we're greeted by turkeys and jays and lizards. the yurt was so cozy and had all the comforts of home, but we could still hear the leaves rustling in the wind at night and needles pattering gently on the canvas roof. not a far drive from watsonville, good food there and great thrifting! a little further and you're at the beach! great location, magical sleeping arrangements! thanks Travis and Emory and the rest of the residents and staff 💜

The yurt was well equipped and it was lovely hearing the sounds of the forest throughout the day/night. The shower gets nice and hot, and the view is amazing. Terra Cultura is a hidden gem. Copper (my dog) and I enjoyed our little adventure immensely. I loved hearing the wind move through the eucalyptus tress while in the yurt an identifying the various bird calls. I saw a great horned owl soaring through the trees and heard its song each night. Copper met his first alpaca! Emory and the other resident were lovely people and easy to chat with. I highly recommend a visit to Terra Cultura!

What a beautiful property! Misthaven was a great choice for our 3 year old, he loved watching the animals and exploring the surroundings. The glamping tent was roomy and comfortable, and while we agreed it could use extra blankets on a cold night, was a big step up from tent camping. Communication was good and our host was super friendly and helpful. We'd love to return!

Terra Cultura was a lush and serene place to spend the weekend. Emory and Travis were warm, helpful, and responsive to our inquiries and needs. I highly recommend staying in the Skyline Yurt. It's simple and spacious with more amenities (running water, heat, good light) than I thought possible in a yurt.

Patoonia is such a cute and cozy site. Warm bed, hot shower, and fully equipped kitchen! Faye did an amazing job with all the small details in the site (i.e. welcoming decorations, soaps, extra blankets, heaters, cooking supplies and seasonings, and even toothpastes! It is in a beautiful and quiet neighborhood near all the hot spots in SJ. Faye is an excellent host with lightning fast communication and was very kind. She reached out to make sure all my questions were asked and had everything I needed (even offered to lend stuff to me from her home).

We had a very relaxing stay. The property is well maintained and the yurt was very cozy and comfortable. The property is not really a hiking or camping vibe, but it has a beautiful view of the surrounding hills and trees. The compost toilet was not my favorite experience but it was clean. The yurt had everything we needed to cook and enjoy the space.
