They are here a couple times per week, and also rent their camp. You may hear them having fun and engaging in target practice. The river is a shared space but it is rare to see anyone else. Noise travels in the canyon so you may hear occasional barking or other vehicles. Hearing coyotes sing at night is very common. I began to share the experiences with my animals by offering a unique farm tour called coffee with Critters and I find that I really enjoy sharing this lifestyle with like minded folk. If you love animals and want to camp near them please join me. Learn more about this land: Your campsite will be nestled among animal enclosures, listen to the munching of hay or the snorting of the horse. Your stay will include a modified animal tour and you can engage with horse, goats, rabbits, chickens, ducks and more... dogs and cats of course ;). I have a couple of spots but I would be flexible regarding campsite. My toilet is a compost toilet.  The outside shower has been upgraded with privacy curtains etc following suggetions from previous campers ;) I have a million $$ view and a modest house. My house is about 45 minutes from the Yosemite park entrance and it's an easy commute back/forth. Flowering vines cover my outdoor porches where we have big dinners when Wwoofers or Couchsurfers are in residence. The property is home to many animals, horse, goats, pigs, chickens, peacocks, rabbits, guinea pigs - dogs & cats - of course! :-) . The roosters wake us up pretty early so fair warning about that - but I love living with them and it makes the property so much more friendly with all the critters. My house is pet friendly and yours are welcome if they are 1. Fixed, 2. Are social and friendly with my pets, 3. Will not chase the cats and chickens. I can babysit your pups if you go to the park - provided they are compliant with rules above. I work from home. There are loads of trails nearby and 2 pretty ponds and plenty of wildlife, deer, turkeys and more. The property is rolling hills however there are plenty of flat areas for tents. NO FIRES PERMITTED ANYWHERE ON MY PROPERTY APRIL-OCTOBER - non negotiable.

This cabin is perfect. Everything you need and then some. It works as a perfect home base to leave from and come back to with early mornings and long days inside the park. We were also greeted by so many different wild life encounters (the safe and cute kind) mule deers, a whole family of quail and their babies, turkey vultures, humming birds, rabbits and more! The A/C was the cherry on top for us (typically) not so boujee campers - would have been miserable without it! Would have loved to have had a hose or running water of some types, but looks like they are half way through creating a separate bathroom area with that feature!

Weekend Trip to Clovis County RV Campers with Pool!

Camper #1 was perfect for two of us for the weekend. We enjoyed the pool and the peaceful view. Saturday we spent the day at King Canyon and Sunday we decided to chill. Close enough to stores and restaurants that we ran out to get food instead of cooking but the grill and fire pit were tempting. Camper was comfortable and everything we needed.

Weekend Trip to Camp with Critters

As animal lovers my girlfriend and I loved our stay at critter camp! Ruth was a wonderful and accommodating host, and especially after our previous night camping in our own tent, having a great tent already beautifully set up was a load off our shoulders (not to mention having an actual showerhead to rinse off under, it made me seriously consider setting up my own outdoor shower at home). As animal and especially dog lovers we both got a kick out of Ruth’s friendly canines stopping by for pets as we started settling in, and we also enjoyed seeing the cats on patrol and strolling around the pig, chicken/duck/turkey, and goat enclosures in the morning before we left. If we didn’t have to leave so soon it would have been great to have the full tour experience. There’s a great view of the stars from Ruth’s hill, and although there were other guests there at the same time, the sites are much further apart than at your standard campsite. And the animals are far enough from the animal enclosures that there’s no “farm smell” at camp, but close enough to stroll over when you want to. I will say the the roosters did as expected in the morning, but if your objective is beating the crowds at Yosemite, you really don’t even need to bother with setting an artificial alarm when you’ve got a natural one built right into the experience. If you get up when they do you’ve got a great chance of finding parking at Curry Village! Ruth’s camp is on the short list for our next Yosemite trip!

Weekend Trip to Willow Belle Ranch

Great host. She took her time to introduce us to this beautiful place and also suggested above a quite creek in their property. We had a great evening at the creek and a fantastic stay at the camper. Britany was very thoughtful about arranging picnic tables under a canopy with dimmable string lights which made our evening beautiful. She genuinely cares for a good experience for her guests . Love to visit again in future and spend more time in this calm environment.

We stayed in the cabin and it was wonderful! The air-conditioning was life changing OMG. Views were incredible even just from the porch of the cabin. It was very private and the showers/bathroom were only a 2 minute drive from the cabin and very well kept. The only difficult part was backing out of the driveway but it's completely avoidable if you just park by the water tank.

This was a great experience for me traveling solo with my ten year old daughter. I felt safe, good price, my daughter loved the pool and camper experience. Driving distance to all the national parks is decent, of course unless you stay in the parks. Steve is very responsive when there was an issue with the air conditioning. Thanks!

3 nights at Hidden Falls Yosemite Camp

Wendy was super helpful with her explanation about everything. The cabin was extremely charming and the AC worked wonders! View was great, too, and we appreciated the sound of the nearby waterfall. A private bathroom within eyeline of the cabin is being constructed, it wasn't ready yet during our stay, so we had to use the primary guest bathroom and shower which is on the main property down the winding hill. It's a fairly steep grade, so not a simple walk. Just something I wanted to call out for prospective guests who might have limited mobility, or who are thinking the guest restroom is only the distance of a standard backyard ADU away from the cabin. However, like I said, it was clear that progress was being made on a better solution for this. Overall we were happy with our stay and the opportunity to make great memories it afforded us!

Hudson and Wendy's place was so clean and convenient. It was amazing having a mini fridge, microwave, and AC in the unit. The shower and bathroom area was so clean and the water was warm. These made a huge difference especially coming back from long hikes in Yosemite. I highly recommend staying here and the view was terrific.

We loved our little cabin in the woods with the awesome sound of the waterfall in the distance! Wendy was very friendly upon arrival and informative about our stay. We were glad to have driven our Jeep as the hills and corners are quite steep. The cabin was quite warm and cozy even with very cold temperatures outside.. We really enjoyed cooking out on the deck and also the fire pit outback is great!. We are so glad we stayed there for our first trip into Yosemite Valley. There is a hose only so good to bring your own wash basin for dishes, etc..
