"If you got the sight, we got the views." Our property sits on top of a hill on 10 acres of beautiful panoramic views of Cahuilla and, Palomar mountain along with rolling hills of large rock formation and colorful wildflowers in the spring. Nestled up to the wildlife preserve of the government bureau of land management which provides more of a quiet and private setting to enjoy what nature has to offer.
You will see Jack rabbits and cotton tail bunnies, roadrunners, quail, owls, different type of birds, hawks, coyote, lizards, snakes and even some toads. On occasion you may see deer, Bob cats, mountain lion along with endangered kangaroo mice, The beautiful night sky is easy to see planets and shooting stars without the interruption of city lights.
There are many trails to walk, hike, bike and horse back ride where you can discover large boulders in different shapes and sizes along with hidden caves. A variety of rocks and minerals can be found for those rock hound enthusiasts as well.
At the camp site you will find a horseshoe pit ,indoor and outdoor games and treasure hunts for everyone to enjoy. If you want to bring your own set of golf clubs you can even hit some balls!
We allow pets for a $10 per pet/per booking. If you want to bring a pet, please add the pet fee listed as an extra during the booking process.
There are off road areas nearby. Bring your motor bike, quad or buggy and throw up some dirt.
Not too far there is a Casino, a store open 24 hrs. and a restaurant call for hours. 20-30 minutes away from the Temecula stores and wineries.
You don’t have to worry about packing up a bunch of camping equipment, our camp provides a 35 foot RV if you prefer a roof over your head and a place to sit down for a meal. The power runs off a generator ( you will need to provide your own fuel. it is a 5 gallon capacity). has indoor and outdoor lights, a radio, outlets to plug in a fan or heater or a phone/computer. There are dishes and utensils,pots/pans and a toilet. Outside water is provided to wash up and clean the dishes. There is a propane b.b.q, propane fire ring, outdoor bench, table and camp chairs. included in the cost.

At 10,833 feet in elevation, this is the second highest peak in California. There are two ways to get to the summit. You can hike the whole thing or shave off about 6000 vertical feet by riding the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. Either way, the summit is not to be missed.
For a real challenge try the epic Cactus to Clouds trail. It was rated as one of the hardest day hikes in the world by Backpacking Magazine. Its 21 miles take you skyward through sub-alpine forests, mountain meadows, snow-dusted crags, and gnarled granite. An alpine start is required to avoid the midday heat so be prepared and take plenty of water.
Campers have plenty to choose from. The San Jacinto area offers two drive-in campsites, four hike-in primitive campsites, and adventures for every brand of wilderness craving. The sweet Aussie poked his head in our tent to say "you good?" haha It was so cute and they were extremely friendly and social! The black kitten stayed at our camp all night and cuddled on our laps by the fire. It was such a lovely experience. We are the second owners of the property and want to be as self sustaining as possible. We are on a well and have converted to solar power. We will be building up the camp sites as well, gradually adding more amenities as we go to create a unique experience for our guests.More about me:I had a great and successful career at a very large CPA firm in San Diego but with city living comes pressure and stress. Due to deadlines and even more stress created by the partners of the firm, I ignored what my body was telling me. I put off going to the doctor for months telling myself I didn't have time and, after this next deadline I'll get a check up.I knew that I needed to change my lifestyle but I wasn't doing it fast enough. We closed escrow on the property in October of 2016 and that November I was in the ER. I almost died. Still suffering from complications, that summer in June/July I ended up in the ER again. Even closer to death this time. Since then I've turned around my health. Focused on life on the farm. We also have a playground with swing set for kids to enjoy.
PLEASE NOTE: Bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance.
FIRES: No fires are to be lit by the campers without verbal consent from property owner and instruction. SEE property owner/camp host upon arrival about what you may use on the property. He will provide instructions.
TASTINGS: Macala Orchards Olive Oil, Various Jellies and Jams Pomegranate Juice all made from what we grow are available for tasting upon request. Please let us know prior to arrival if you are interested in a scheduled tasting during your stay! We can provide a tasting if we have the proper staff during your visit. Our products are available for purchase, with or without a tasting. We recommend you bring cash if you are interested. We also take Venmo!
GETTING TO VILLA MACALA: The road up to Villa Macala is a dirt road uphill, all vehicles fair well, we attempt to keep the road maintained as well as possible, after heavy rains it is a bit more bumpy but safe. Drive slow!

Nicest RV resort I’ve been to. Full gym, pool, jacuzzi, desert views and spacious sites. Skip the pull in sites for the back in sites with better views and more space. Stayed here for Coachella and it was a great home base and close enough if driving/taking Uber. Wasn’t super convenient if taking shuttle though.

We really enjoyed our stay! We slept in our Truck Shell Camper. We had access to the grill, Rv awning, outdoor couch & coffee table, artificial movable grass rugs, propane fire pit and the outside sink for washing dishes which was really convenient! Even though we had our own it was nice to use her water for washing. It was as exactly what we hoped- an off leash playground for our 5 year old puppy to fetch the ball till the sun went down and right back to it when we woke up! On leash at night to be safe with wildlife of course- stars were beautiful at night. Felt like we were in our own world the whole time! The owner, Cheri, and the neighbor were close just not in view. Super sweet little treasure hunt with a mini hike around the property was fun for me and my husband. We will certainly return!! (Be sure to follow directions given- we accidentally used the neighbors road into the the property and when we tried to leave that way the gate was locked, luckily my husband is a stellar driver and was able to back all the way up the dirt road back to the site to go out the correct way!)

Weekend Trip to Loomerland Ranch and Retreat
We had an amazing time staying in the Warner teepee! From the moment we arrived, everyone was incredibly welcoming — both the humans and the animals. The dogs made sure we felt right at home, greeting us warmly and even escorting us around the property like true hosts.
One of the highlights was getting to spend time with all the animals. We loved seeing the feedings up close — it felt like we were part of the rhythm of the land. The staff and other campers were all so friendly and kind, creating a truly open and welcoming space.
We spent our mornings birdwatching and soaking in the peaceful sounds of nature, and our nights felt cozy and safe thanks to the dogs, who take their job of protecting the property seriously. Their barks at night weren’t disruptive — in fact, they were comforting. It was like they were saying, “We’ve got this.”
The only small drawback was the presence of some red ants near the teepee. As long as you’re mindful of where you step or place your belongings, it’s totally manageable and didn’t take away from the experience at all.
This was a beautiful place to reset and reconnect with nature. We can’t wait to come back

Weekend Trip to Loomerland Ranch and Retreat
We stayed for a weekend and we had so much fun staying at the Warner’s Teepee!
Our favorite parts of our stay: the dogs hanging with us (especially Willow), playing with the pig, watching the goats and chickens graze, and the peacocks walking right up to our site and hanging out with us. We loved walking around and having animals walk beside us. Sean and Ty were nice and made us feel welcome. The kitchen and outhouse definitely exceeded our expectations as well.
Something to keep in mind when you’re out there, not at fault at all of the hosts, but we did notice a lot of ticks around. Given that we are out in nature, there’s not much to be done with that. But I would recommend not letting the dogs come into the tent no matter how cute they are. We also used Apple Maps getting to the site, and the address led us right to the correct place. (we were worried we were going in the wrong direction at first, but if you’re using Apple Maps you should be good!)
Rory also was very knowledgeable and gave us a tour of the cat and bunny sanctuary. We 100% recommend this site for those who enjoy animals.
