This spacious land is over 4 acres of high desert with breathtaking 360 degree views. Only 45 minutes from Flagstaff, 30 minutes from the historic Grand Canyon, and only 36 minutes from Williams, this property is in the middle of it all. There is so much potential for amazing adventures. You could go fishing in Williams or have a snowball fight in Flagstaff. You can see every star out here and enjoy the escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. With wide open spaces you have so much room to play. Welcome to your slice of high desert heaven! Desert Sky Campground is our private piece of Earth nestled in between the south rim of the Grand Canyon/Kaibab National Forest and Flagstaff/Coconino National Forest. Feel free to pick your favorite spot on this nearly 5-acre canvas with a fantastic view of the San Francisco peaks that surround Flagstaff. Want to clear a space for your tent or RV? Go ahead and gently remove any small shrubs. Just remember to leave the bigger plants and trees standing tall. The road leading here might be a bit bumpy, so a 4x4 with good clearance is your best bet. Now, let's talk about the real magic: no frills, just pure, untouched nature. Think of it as your own private BLM land. Please, treat it with respect. Pack out all your trash and minimize your impact. No bathrooms, no water, no electricity – just you, the stars, and the incredible outdoors. After a day of hiking, skiing, or exploring, come back to your campsite and enjoy the breathtaking night sky. It’s the perfect way to unwind and recharge.

23mi from Tusayan · 1 site · Tent, RV
Great location near the Grand Canyon! Just an open piece of land for boondocking - there may be other campers present during your stay. The stars and night sky out here are amazing and completely worth the trip. **Please use the coordinates. The property is 40 minutes north of Williams. If your GPS takes you into Williams that is the wrong location. IMPORTANT NOTE: The last one mile to the location is a bumpy dirt road. Imagine the worst road you’ve been on - this is slightly better and if this is the worst you’ve been on .. well then live a little. In the past, some people complained about the dirt road not being in good shape due to rains. Please know that we are not responsible for or even aware of the road conditions to the property. Unfortunately, the county has done no maintenance since the early 1990s and has no plans to. The quotes we have received to fix just the worst parts have been between $35,000 and $50,000. Lastly, check the signs on the way in the area about fire danger and whether you are able to have a campfire or not. If you are allowed, please make sure to fully extinguish it. We are working on bringing services and upgrades to the property. All money being earned will go towards this effort.

*** NOTICE: Due to the winter season and work that we would like to do to improve guest stays in the future, we have 'closed' the Outpost until March 1, 2026. We hope that you will consider staying with us in the future. As part of the improvements we are doing is to reimagine the 'sites'. We want to make sure each guest has a view and privacy in their site. Once we determine how many sites we will have and prepare them for guests, we will update Hipcamp with the new sites that will be available with pictures. *** This is RURAL camping and fully off-grid without facilities. 7 miles DIRT ROAD, 4 wheel drive recommended. We are located 50 miles (1 hour) northeast of Flagstaff, Arizona. Our 60 acre property offers a unique experience for those looking for a place to unplug and explore with plenty of privacy and room to roam. You'll enjoy incredible views of the Painted Desert, Gray Mountain, and the San Francisco peaks. 13 miles to Cameron, Arizona 37 miles to Wupatki National Monument. 38 miles to Tuba City, Arizona. 42 miles to Grand Canyon National Park (south rim). NOTE - as a rural, off-grid, desert location you may encounter wildlife (nice and not so nice ones) while on the property or hiking around the wilderness.

Located at the SEC of Coronado Dr and San Mateo Rd, between Highway 180 and Highway 64. Turn LEFT onto Valle Rd from Highway 180, LEFT onto S Linger Lane, and LEFT onto Coronado Dr. Property will be on the LEFT hand side, at the end of Coronado Dr where it intersects with San Mateo Rd (SEC of Coronado Dr and San Mateo Rd). Corner lot with a Power Pole, but no utilities connected. Lot is completely undeveloped with no utilites and is raw vacant land. Tent, RV or similar vehicle, or Car/Truck Parking ONLY. Afterglow
