Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Enjoy the Northern Arizona sun during the day and campfires and star gazing at night on this 1 acre campsite all to yourself just 1.5 miles off Highway 180 at the Grand Canyon Junction for food, gas, water, and supplies before reaching Grand Canyon National Park 32 miles away. There is a road cut into the site allowing you to pull in and park a trailer, RV or other vehicles around the center fire pit - perfect for friends and family gatherings or solo and couples camping.You will be given the address and GPS coordinate upon booking. There are a few routes you can take from the main highways to reach the site but the best known way is to exit Highway 180 at Dewey Dr, turn right on Carmen Rd, then left on Vernon Rd, and finally left on Colgate St. From the highway, the dirt road has some bumps and 4WD is recommended. Also, you will be traveling on unmarked dirt roads and it is advised to reach the campsite before dark so it easier to locate. There is a fire ring and campfires are allowed but may be restricted during certain times when warm temperatures and high winds are forecasted. Please check if there are any fire restrictions at the time of your visit and always adhere to state and local fire restrictions. There are no toilets or water so campers will need to bring their own accommodations. Pack in and pack out policy applies. Cheep but Sketchy

It works for easy access to the Grand Canyon. If I was solo camping as a female, I would definitely NOT stay at this spot. We carry, so we felt safe enough. There is a lot of trash, run down campers, abandoned cars, and it gave bad vibes all around. No views except sketchy neighbors in every direction. We booked for two nights and ended up staying only one. We decided to camp for free in the Kaibab National Forest right outside of the park which was way better! I kinda knew the spot might be sketchy due to the lack of pictures. We rolled the dice on this one.. the price was very reasonable, and we thank the host for allowing us on his land to jump to the Grand Canyon.

We couldn't find it. When we got to the address on Googlemaps, we were not sure if we were in the right place. Our 4WD wouldn't have made it there if it wasn't dry.

The campsite was very clean. And easy to get to. Will need a truck and lots of clearance on trailer. I will recommend Kevin's sites. Very quiet area. Lots of space to park.

Best Hipcamp Near the Grand Canyon!

This is the best Hipcamp I have stayed at near the Grand Canyon. The directions are easy to follow and the roads are sedan friendly. Kevin is a very helpful host as well.
