We (Tim and Victoria) moved out to our place in the desert in February 2008 along with our many plants. We have continued to grow our little farm of 6 acres to what it is today, which includes an orchard with about 50 fruit and nut trees and enclosed garden/greenhouse structures with veggies and herbs that are protected from wildlife and the elements. We have a seasonally heated pool with 3/4 wraparound deck and amazing views of the Tucson Mountains. We have a basketball court, a ping pong table, cornhole court as well for recreation. Our Beach site has a domed 'chill zone' with heaters in the winter, comfortable chairs for relaxation and a great spot to let your dog hang out unleashed. Our Prickly Pear site has a pull through for campers and RVs. Our RV site has 30 amp electric and black water dump station.
All of our sites are fenced in, and have many, many cool amenities such as fire pits, sinks with fresh, pure water, table with 4 chairs, gas grills and lounge chairs/porch swing.
Our property in a 160-acre neighborhood surrounded by open desert state lands.

What to expect:
We are in a rural neighborhood where most parcels are 1-3 acres, we have seven acres. It's quiet around here but along with the natural sounds of the desert like yipping coyotes, and woodpeckers pecking, you may hear a horse, dog, or chicken. While we are on the outskirts of Tucson, we are not completely remote.
We have carved our sites out of the natural layout of the desert. There are many kinds of cactus in our area in addition to the magnificent Saguaro, and uneven areas when walking. We keep it as natural as possible.
We have a small "Mercantile" on property. This is our office, but we also have items you may have forgotten, and souvenirs made by local artists. Also available is firewood, and ice is for sale for your convenience. We have a small Laundry Shack (two washers, two dryers) 2.00 wash/2.00 dry. You'll need cash for these things, we do not take any other form of payment at this time.
Camp Saguaro is tobacco-free.

Let us be your base camp for desert exploration whether it's hiking, riding, birdwatching, and learning. Come to Camp Saguaro and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the desert. Our friendly hosts can help you plan a great day, some of them even have their Certified Tourism Amabssador credentials. Please note: We are tobacco-free, medicinal herbs are legal and ok as long as children are not around.
What to expect:
We are in a rural neighborhood where most parcels are 1-3 acres, we have seven acres. It's quiet around here but along with the natural sounds of the desert like yipping coyotes, and woodpeckers pecking, you may hear a horse, dog, or chicken. While we are on the outskirts of Tucson, we are not completely remote.
We have carved our sites out of the natural layout of the desert. There are many kinds of cactus in our area in addition to the magnificent Saguaro, and uneven areas when walking. We keep it as natural as possible.
We have a small "Mercantile" on property. This is our office, but we also have items you may have forgotten, and souvenirs made by local artists. Also available is firewood, and ice is for sale for your convenience. We have a small Laundry Shack (two washers, two dryers) 2.00 wash/2.00 dry. You'll need cash for these things, we do not take any other form of payment at this time.
Camp Saguaro is tobacco-free.

Bill and Colleen’s HH Ranch is a wonderful place to stay! We were very happy with the space for our rig… it was great to have the entire property fenced so our pup didn’t have to be leashed. She also had 3 doggie friends to play with. The pool was a welcome addition, we used it a couple of days while the temperature reached the 90’s! We can’t wait to return!

The campsite is beautiful, private, and peaceful. There is only one site and it is hundreds of feet to nearby homes, including the owner’s. About the only thing I heard is occasional traffic on the private dirt road that leads to the property and dead ends a few homes beyond. The site itself is large. The hookups are in excellent condition, with trash and recycling cans on site. The electrical is a single 30-amp. So, you’d need an adapter for 20 or 50 amp plugs. Bob and Cindy are very available by text or email. I expect to return!

We stayed in the Magical Mushroom and it was absolutely perfect for a couple nights of camping under a roof. The blowup mattress was a lifesaver! It works perfectly for the Mushroom sight! Beautiful stargazing. Sunrises and sunsets are amazing! Ideal camp grounds with great, warm showers and shared bathroom sinks with running water. SUPER clean too! Nice and quiet. They also have a big fire pit, cornhole, and tetherball. They also put out great, fresh grapefruits one morning! Would recommend to anyone! What a beautiful place!

My dogs and I LOVED this spot!! It’s rare to find such a private oasis in such an urban area but that’s what this is. The elec hookup for my van was ideal as well as being able to top off my water tank—such a bonus! The table and chairs were so nice to get out of my vehicle and sit outside drinking coffee and oh my gosh the fire pit and firewood provided— I used it every night! I had room to do yoga outside without feeling watched like I do in campgrounds. It was one BLOCK away from the loop and since I was in Tucson to ride bikes w friends, that was so ideal. The hosts are the kindest nicest people. We will definitely be back!!! My dogs loved being able to roam in the completely fenced off yard. They rarely get to be that free. We slept well and really enjoyed our time here. Many thanks for creating such a magical and safe spot Sophia!!!

Found this place on Hipcamp and thought it would be a nice break after 4 days of Dry camping for a chance to get a shower and maybe do some laundry. The sites are well spaced and surrounded by mature desert plants, which provide some shading and a little privacy. It’s a great location and very close to the National Park visitor center and local Desert botanical museum. I spent the next 3 nights at Camp Gilbert Ray in the park and if I would have known that Camp Saguaro was so nice I would’ve just booked all my time in the area there.

Debi took the time to show us how to get to the site and showed us the ropes. She even got her teenage son to bring us a big tub of firewood.

Weekend Trip to Camp Saguaro
We stayed in the Adobe and it was wonderful!!!! Everything is so clean and it was so comfortable temp wise. I would bring a lantern for some extra light. Everything is solar, but we slept amazing and everyone was so friendly from the hosts to the other campers we met. The location is awesome as well. So close to the park entrance and you have to check out the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. Also just down the road is Old Tucson. So many things to do and see we never made it into Tucson. Absolutely loved this camp do not pass this place up. Be sure to follow their directions and not just Google maps.

We had the BEST time at Camp Saguaro! Such fun accommodations for the whole family. Super friendly camp hosts, beautiful property and a unique place to stay (magical mushroom!) We loved seeing the stars and hearing the coyotes sing while sitting around our campfire. If you’re traveling with kids definitely do the quest for the key - ours loved it.
