Restful retreat with a super host

If you want a top notch, peaceful, relaxing retreat, you’ll find it at the Saguaro Sky Ranch. If you want a superb host to become a newfound friend, you’ll find her in Barb! She’s welcoming, helpful, available, open to questions and responds quickly. Barb has created many amazing spaces on her land amid the saguaro cacti and desert-scapes, each one a mini-refuge to unwind, chill out and enjoy the sunrise, the wide open views overlooking Tucson, or thunderstorms over the distant mountains. I found my favorite spot and didn’t want to leave. Be careful to not step on the resident tarantulas! Genevieve may be small by today’s standards but it’s plenty of room. I loved the homey touches and the super comfy bed. The shower and bathroom are enclosed but open to the blue sky. Loved it! You are steps away from jumping in the pool. Saguaro Sky Ranch is in close proximity to the national park. Trailheads for miles of hiking are just down the road. Ask Barb about the nearby petroglyphs. Can’t imagine a better base camp for seeing Tucson nor a better host to know!

Barb was great, and very helpful! We did a tent site and appreciated the two chairs and table that came with it. Way better than a public campground, and the toilet and shower were clean and close by. Bonus was the baby pony!

Fascinating property and area!

Everything about our stay on Barb's property was amazing. The views overlooking Tucson were breathtaking, the sunsets each night were to die for, the proximity to the west side (the best side) of Saguaro NP was amazing. We couldn't have had a better time around Tuscon or found a better place to stay. Every detail on property has so much love and thought put into it. We will 1000% come back to Barb's place on our next stop through Tucson. If you like nature, this is the place for you. Barb, thanks so much for having us and making us feel so welcome. You make killer brownies too!

Tucson Camping

The campsite was overlooking a beautiful view of Tucson. Barb was an excellent host. The campsite was on her large beautiful property which we were able to walk around and explore. There was water available along with a shower and toilet for us very close to the campsite. A few other people live on the property and were incredibly welcoming. She even had some super nice horses we would greet every morning. We were staying on Sunday night and she invited us to join her and some other people who are staying on the campground to watch the Super bowl. Really enjoyed our time. She even gave us some great recommendations for local restaurants.

Easy to find and easy to settle into. Close to town but far enough to feel like you are in the country. The little trailer had everything I needed to spend a few days in peace and enough comfort. Outdoor bathroom and shower are nice and convenient. Great hiking in the area. Barb was helpful and responsive.

My girl and I camped at Saguaro Sky Ranch for two nights with our dogs and loved every minute of it. Barb and Brian are top-notch hosts — some of the kindest folks you’ll ever meet. Quiet, peaceful, no city noise, just stars overhead and a fire pit at night. Even had a horse and ponies around, which was a nice touch. They were also accommodating to our two dogs, allowing us to let them loose in a fully caged area. Two thumbs up. 5 stars, 10/10 — would recommend to anyone.

Lovely camping site!

This beautiful site is one of my two favorite hipcamps. It is very near Saguaro National Park, but also only about 3 miles away from restaurants and stores. Barb's place is lovely - lots of open, Saguaro-filled land, horses, and open sky. Barb was super nice and helpful, right from the get-go when I first contacted her asking for information about her place.

What a cozy sanctuary! So many sweet and intentional touches to this serene and peaceful space! Our host Barbara was very welcoming and kind and showed us all the many unique things she's cultivated here. Two labyrinths, a zen garden, a medicine wheel area for prayer and contemplation, a beautiful little pond with fish, a vertical fire pit to enjoy at night under the stars and adorable ponies and horses to pet and visit with. My son had a truly wonderful experience ! The trailer/camper has all the creature comforts if you need them including a gas stove refrigerator, a full bathroom even! I was very impressed! We saw quail and coyotes each day and even some javalinas! Right out the door is landscape to behold with Saguaro West national Park minutes away and trails on her property to explore too. It was truly a blissful experience. 💗

Barb’s space is lovely, complete with a koi pond and shaded picnic spot. She has created quite the little haven of relaxation. Outdoor bathroom/shower was perfect, exactly what we needed for our one night. I will say, there was quite a bit of road noise, which was unavoidable but not awesome.

My stay here was so lovely! Barb was very communicative and welcoming. The RV “Florence” was spotless clean and super cozy. It was easy to temperature control and the bed was comfortable. The location was super close to Saguaro National Park and also close to downtown Tucson. I would definitely stay again!

Silverbell Starlight 1978 Vintage

Awesome, cozy stay! I really loved the airstream, surrounding grounds, amenities, and Barb the owner. She was incredible at giving directions, activity ideas, and was very hospitable. I felt very safe on the property as a solo lady hiker. Genevive the Airstream was well equipped and I appreciated the privacy. The outdoor toilet and shower worked well and were both well maintained. I would stay here again.

Perfect getaway with my fur babies!

Our stay at Genevieve was an unforgettable experience. The RV site was tucked away in beautiful Saguaro cactus surroundings offering the perfect blend of privacy and access to nature. It was ideal for a weekend getaway, and we left feeling refreshed and recharged. The heated shower and heater were the perfect touch on a winter glamping. Close to shops & restaurants. Our pups had a blast!

Barb’s place was truly magical with exactly everything I needed. I flew in from NC and she was very responsive, adaptable and supportive. The place is a wildlife haven with lots of birds, coyotes, javelinas, and saguaro cacti. Barb has many sweet touches with stained glass, outdoor patio furniture with rugs and comfortable beds with lots of pillows and blankets. It is also equipped with all your essentials for cooking, showers, bathroom, foot storage, cutlery, etc. She has created an ascetically comforting and homey feeling. Her place is also within walking distance to pictures rocks, and to all the amenities that you would need. I will definitely come back to Barb’s place.

I’ll be back!! This camper was so so cute, clean and had a huge private outdoor living space with fire ring, lawn chairs, by the pool. The outdoor shower looked heavenly. Equipped with a heat lamp and lots of privacy. Super sweet property and hosts.

Friendly hosts, clean and super cute property. Barb is super helpful with awesome suggestions for local happenings. It was super special having the hot air balloons flying directly overhead, at sunrise. It felt super safe and secure. Petroglyph’s and trails a half mile from this hip camp. We’ll be back!
