    Please join us at the land of Bohamia for glamping with luxury beds and private decks, primitive camping in picturesque sites, and RV spots with power and water. Bohamia has an upscale bathhouse with private, hot showers and individual toilet rooms with floor-to-ceiling doors. The bathhouse is within 100 yards of all glamps and RV sites. We also have portalets stationed in the RV/Safari Tent area, at The Barn, and at the pond (0.4 miles from welcome center.) Premium RV spots now available with 30 or 50 amp hookups and water. We do not have sewer hookups or a waste station. Glamp, RV or camp amidst the natural beauty of our 268 acre property; we have open fields, shady spots beneath the hardwoods and pines, and even a five acre pond with plenty of fish if you’d prefer to wake up to a water view or take a morning swim. With miles of trails on our property, easy access to the 392,000 acre Talladega National Forest, and less than ten miles from the Pinhoti trail, you’ll never run out of beautiful places to explore. Be sure to save some time to enjoy the boulder strewn creek just a short walk from our welcome center - it’s a must see! Other local attractions are also within reach with the Top Trails ATV park and the Talladega Marksmanship Park only seven miles away.

In many cases you can have two vehicles by your site, or can park in group areas nearby when not loading or unloading. ••• ENTRANCE NOTES••• Please read carefully The entrance to Bohamia is 1/4 mile of rough asphalt at a 30% grade followed by 1/2 mile of gravel roadway with grades up to 25%. • Motorhomes should not have an issue with the driveway unless you have a low overhanging extension on it for bikes, kayaks, etc. Be aware that may drag a little on some of the gravel areas. We recommend against motorhomes pulling a trailer unless you have a four wheel drive Class B. • PULL-BEHINDS: Please ensure you have an adequately powered tow-vehicle for your trailer. If your tow vehicle is poorly matched to your camper (right at tow capacity or less) then you may have issues on our driveway. Trucks and four wheel drive vehicles shouldn't have an issue. If you aren't sure, please contact us and we can discuss your situation.

    Our most popular site, this Premium Pond Campsite is adjacent to our five acre pond. Picnic table and fire ring with grill are included along with plenty of shaded level area for a large tent. The spring fed pond has a dock and depth ranges from 6'-18'. It stays very cool in the summer and is excellent for swimming, paddle boarding, and fishing (catch and release please). Canoe rentals are available but feel free to bring your own canoe, kayak, or paddle board. There is a porta potty near the pond dock. Upscale bathhouse with endless hot showers and fully private restroom stalls is beside our welcome center - about a half mile away from the pond area.     I highly recommend Bohemia. Within 10 days I stayed there twice. I stayed in one of the A-frames. It is a great glamping experience. They have an experience. They have an online shop where you can order firewood, s’mores , ice , and bug spray. When I first got there, I got out my kayak and I went out on their pond. My second time there I explored their trails. There’s a beautiful dam with a waterfall on the yellow trail. There was a thunderstorm while I was there, and I felt quite safe and cozy in my little A-frame. Leigh who runs the grounds is fantastic and truly welcoming. It truly is a peaceful place to be in nature and reconnect. The bathrooms and the shower stalls were very well kept and cleaned daily. 5 ⭐️ from me. I will be back!

    It was a quiet place and the group site we were on didn't have any nearby neighbors and was secluded by trees. Nice trails and a little pond. Camp host was very nice and accommodating.

    This was my second time at Bohemia. First, was for Birmingham’s first music and arts festival called Awakenus. And I couldn’t wait to return. This place is simply magical. We hiked to the waterfall, took a long swim in the refreshing water, swam in the spring fed lake, kayaked, fished, and stargazed in the two nights we stayed. Leigh was awesome! She greeted us at check-in and was delightful to talk to. I highly recommend planning a trip here. The campsites are spacious and each has a picnic table, fire pit and plenty of space between them. A friendly reminder to leave no trace :)

    Bohemia was a great place to stop for a couple of days on my way through Alabama. It is clean and well organized, a lot of well thought out details that set it apart from other campgrounds, you can tell it is all very well managed. It was nice to have trails close by. We’ll definitely go again, hope to stay longer next time!

    Site RV 1 was great. Heard the cascade in the gorge from our camp. Hiking was great along with fishing with worms on 1/4 and 1/5. RV Sites are well graded with new utilities. Great bathhouse if needed. Office is close with supplies is needed.

    This property is spectacular…a true Hipcamp gem! Amazing nature and very well appointed from the pristine bathhouse to the hiking paths throughout the 260+ acre property. I had a van and stayed in RV spot 5 which is nicely tucked away on top of a hill. I took a peek into the glamping tents and they are done very well and I noted the heat and AC for seasonal comfort. Leigh greeted me upon arrival and gave me the lay of the land and graciously showed me around. I love that you can order a few things like firewood via QR code and it delivers right to your spot. The pups and I took the hike to the creek and waterfall along the nicely cared for trail and the winter weather was just right. Bohamia is an amazing place and I can’t wait to return for a longer stay😍

    This is a beautiful piece of property! Bathhouse and porta potties were spotless. There are great trails to explore around the property. The owners/hosts communicated well before we arrived and were super friendly. We stayed at RV-5 and the electric and water hookups worked flawlessly. Overall, a great place to stay and we look forward to returning in the future.

    We love camping at Bohamia! This was our second time and it did not disappoint. The surroundings are beautiful and the trails offer some great views of the creek/waterfall/lake! Leigh is so friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We used the store this time and the delivery to our site was super fast. The bathhouse is awesome!

    Everything about this property is absolutely perfect!! The host was amazing and the property very well maintained., never thought a bathhouse could be so amazing! Lots to do just on the property itself, from trail hiking, boulder walking down at the river, to paddle boating/ canoeing the good size pond, fishing, swimming and just relaxing., you’ll have plenty to do. This place has it all! Great location to other parks and the Majestic Caverns but you really will just not want to leave this property!!! Absolutely my top place to stay again and again!!

    We loved the glamping tent at Bohamia. It was cozy and private. It brought the comforts of home while keeping us in the woods. It has heat and air, lights and electricity. We had a great time. The staff were also very helpful, super accessible, polite, kind and accommodating. The grounds has lots of fund hiking trails and the bathhouse is modern and kept very clean. We highly recommend!

    Fantastic stay for our overnight. I wish we could have stayed longer but the glamp site was exactly as advertised. Just the necessities for a beautiful evening in the woods. And the hiking on the property is also beautiful. Highly recommend if you enjoy a little rustic without having to pack your own tent. Our host was also fabulously helpful and kind!
