Learn more about this land: Enjoy your own campsite on the Clarion River in Portland Mills, Pa. Elk county is all part of the Allegheny National Forest and the Pennsylvania Wilds. Your campsite is 1 mile from a boat and kayak launch on the Clarion River. We can provide two kayaks with advance notice at no charge. You have full hookups to sewer and electric (30 or 50 amp). While camping enjoy a campfire along with the peace & quiet of the small village of Portland Mills. This campsite is approximately 8 miles from the small town of Ridgway, Pennsylvania with shops and restaurants. Watch for eagles on your drive to the campsite or while floating down the river :)Your own campsite on the Clarion River in Portland Mills within 8 miles of the small town of Ridgway Pennsylvania providing many shops and dining. This is all part of the Allegheny National Forest and the Pennsylvania Wilds. 1 mile from a boat and kayak launch on the Clarion River. We can provide two kayaks with advance notice at no charge. Fire ring and full hookups provided. Elk County provides many outdoor activities including the educational Elk viewing center.

Located in a small rural community in the middle of nowhere. Allegheny National Forest is there with the Clarion River. I stayed four nights in between events. Lots of honking, but geese instead of cars. Eagles on the river. Unfortunately no cell service, which is both good and bad. It was quiet except for dogs being dogs. I could never get away from the feeling I was in Lawrence’s yard next to the neighbors, but it was a peaceful rest. Fire pit if wished. 45 min to amenities.

The views were beautiful and the property was easy to find! There are neighbors on either side, but would never have known as the area is so quiet.

Beautiful spot

Had family in the area, so used this as a home base for our Tiny House while we visited. Loved the river access and rail trail access. The lot is on a decent grade but has some level areas if you can swing your trailer into them, and the host is very helpful and engaged. Enjoy!
