Stella is a 1968 Boles Aero 26’ vintage RV and has been completely redone by Lyn & Carol-anne. Stella is perfect for a romantic getaway and she comes outfitted with comfy linens, towels and dishes. A bottle of wine, some food, and a great attitude is all you need to bring. You will have a fire pit, private deck, and a spectacular view. We are just 10 miles outside of Bandera so we offer the peace & quiet of the country, but are not far from all the action in Bandera. Stella will accommodate 2 adults or 2 adults and 2 children (6 and over). We DO NOT allow guests to have visitors so if you want to share your experience with your friends or family they need to book their own site. We are a family friendly campground so if you are looking for a place to get wild and party, keep looking. If you are looking for a place to get away, relax and enjoy the river then keep reading! Stellas sleeping situation consists of a couch that converts into a "full" size bed (firm) and a traditional cozy twin mattress (great for cuddling). Stella has a full kitchen, including a stove and a microwave. She is also equipped with a full bathroom, electric fireplace, TV, A/C and all the essentials needed for your glamping adventure. We offer river access for floating, paddling, swimming or fishing. We do not offer a boat launch so if your water toy is on a trailer leave that at home! We DO NOT allow pets in Stella so please don’t ask if you can bring them, the answer is no. We include 1 vehicle with the rental and you may bring a 2nd vehicle for a $10 charge. Welcome to the Boulderdash Barn! We invite you to come and enjoy lovely views, 300 feet of riverfront, bird-watching, nature immersing beauty along the crystal clear Medina river basin! Our Barn apartment is the newest edition to this unique property, and offers it guests all the comforts of home, glamping style! Our suite includes air conditioning/heat, cook top, fully stocked kitchen, fridge, microwave, private bathroom, queen bed, pull out full couch, and quirky cowboy style. We provide all the linens, so all you need to bring is a great attitude some drinks and food! Of course Bandera has excellent eateries so if you don't want to cook that's cool too! This accommodation sleeps 4 max, and is is pet friendly! We offer a queen bed as well as a pull out full sized couch for sleeping. The barn apartment comes with a private gated patio as well. We have a fire pit and grill for you in front of the Barn. Please note, you must be able to climb stairs, 22 of them to be exact, so may not be suitable for really small kids or those with knee problems.

My family love our get away trip. The camp grounds were clean and the staff was very responsive if you needed anything. We went for Memorial Day weekend and while others were fighting for space to set up and hit the water. The camp grounds were spacious and other guests were quiet and respectful. Beautiful sights from the communal observation deck. We will be returning in the future.

Our stay at Tent Site #2 at Boulderdash Cabin & RV Park was absolutely wonderful! Carol-anne and Lyn were amazing hosts—friendly, responsive, and super thoughtful. They provided helpful tips before our arrival and made sure we had everything we needed for a great experience. The site was peaceful and well-kept, surrounded by nature and just steps from the Medina River. Even though it was a short hike to the bathrooms, we were well-prepared thanks to their clear heads-up and suggestion to bring a tent potty—especially useful since we were camping with our child. We appreciated the attention to detail, from the check-in process to on-site items like firewood and ice. The no-visitor and quiet policies helped make the space feel safe and relaxing for families. We made some great memories here and would definitely come back again. Highly recommend for anyone looking to disconnect, relax, and enjoy the outdoors!

We absolutely loved our stay! We spent the weekend kid free celebrating our 13 year anniversary & couldn’t help but talk about how much the kids would have loved it! Will definitely be back sometime soon with the kids! Plenty of areas to swim or sit in the water and enjoy the absolute peacefulness of the flowing water and watching the sunset!

We loved camping out at Boulderdash! The campsites were clean and well maintained. There are amenities like freshwater, WiFi, and electricity available if you’d like, but it doesn’t feel like glamping. If you forget anything, Carol-Anne and Lyn have it handy. The riverside sites are a short walk to wading in the Medina river. The kids and dogs had a blast. Campers who come here should abide by the camp’s simple rule; don’t be a jerk. We’re looking forward to coming back as soon as possible!

I would definitely consider myself an avid outdoorsman/camper, and let me tell you that I am glad that I found this spot. This location has everything you need, restrooms, community sink, and amazing access to the river. The campgrounds are very clean, and the RV sites are perfect. Carol Ann and Lyn put their passion for camping and traveling into their property. And it shows. These people made us feel like we were family, and honestly just want you to have a great experience while you’re at Boulderdash. If I could give this place 10 stars I gladly would. Thank you all very much me and my family, Hope to see you all soon again!

Riverside Tent Site 1

Camping at Boulderdash was absolutely amazing. We rented tent site 1 and our friends rented tent site 2 and it worked perfectly to have that area together. The sites were clean, quiet and had awesome amenities including the outdoor kitchen area to share with each other. This made washing dishes, charging devices and washing hands so easy. The river is beautiful despite being low and there is easy access to it. They are pet friendly as long as your pet is friendly and that's a huge plus. The hosts were so kind as well, they even put on an easter egg hunt for all the kids on site Saturday night. I can't say enough great things and will definitely be back.

Beautiful spot!

This was a beautiful spot. We camped with friends in tents and the amenities were awesome. There was tons of space between the RV sites, tent sites, cabin and trailer. Carol-Anne and Lyn were very helpful and accommodating. There were very nice extras like an Easter egg hunt and feed corn at the site. We will definitely be back.

Fantastic camping spot! We booked out both of the river spots so that we had more room and privacy. It was perfect! The walk up to the bath house wasn’t bad at all. Facilities were nice and clean and cared for. We didn’t use the WiFi. The sink and electric were very conveniently located. There was an issue with the outlets, but the hosts were super quick to respond and got us set up with alternate electricity sites in the meantime. Incredibly accommodating. Being next to the water was perfect! The dogs loved it. Plenty of flat spots for tents and parking. Beautiful site. I’ve camped quite a bit within about a 3 hour radius of Austin, and this has been the best! Loved it

My family had a good time camping. it was quite, clean, and well-maintained. The staff was friendly, and the campsites were spacious. Great spot for a weekend getaway!

Hill Top Tent Site # 3

It was such a fun experience staying at Boulderdash! We had our 3 kids, ages 2,4,8 and they all had something fun to do. We enjoyed the river, riding our bikes around our tent site, hiking at hill country state park, and exploring the property. Beautiful views from the grilling area, got to see some hummingbirds right next to us. Overall lovely time.

Boulderdash Cabin

We stayed here over Spring Break and had the best time! My kids said they wanted to stay forever, they said it was dreamy to have had the “biggest backyard in the world” The house it it cute and cozy, exactly like you can see in the pictures. Even though the river water was low, my kids were able to play there and we all made wonderful memories.

Stayed at tent site 2. It was a nice space next to the water and a good amount of shade. The owners were very nice and had very good communication checking on us. I would recommend for a nice getaway.

My son and I camped here for two nights. It was a nice and relaxing time. Once I reserved, I was contacted by the host, welcoming us, asking if we needed extra firewood and when we expected to arrive. Upon arrival we were welcomed by Carol- Ann, given a short tour and made our way to our camp site. I liked that we were able to drive up to it. I asked for two bundles of firewood and they were next to the fire ring when we pulled up. We had the entire place to ourselves for the first night. We attempted to fish the river and although it was very low we did see quite a few decent sized fish around the large rocks and deeper pools. My son caught and released about 6 blue gill. The only drawback was that the people across the river were loud. Nothing too bad. Overall, it was a great experience. The hosts were awesome and we will definitely come back.

This is a beautiful site that is well kept, Carol-Ann was an amazing host! The rules were clear and reasonable, there is access to the river (although it was really low when I went), there was a great swing that I swung on to watch the sunset! They even decorated for Christmas! I will be back!

Riverside Tent Site 1

Boulderdash was a beautiful spot! We really enjoyed our stay. We stayed in Campsite 1 and we were the only ones near the river during our trip. Its was very peaceful and we enjoyed the view and trees from the campsite. Carol-Anne and Lyn were great hosts and checked in on us to make sure everything was going good! We would definitely camp here again.

Very friendly and helpful owner. Helped me find a pot to make hot water because everywhere closed on thanks giving. The bathroom was awesome with heater and steaming hot water. Highly recommend

Great secluded little spot on the Medina River. Plenty of boulders to scramble on. Kids loved it & our dog loved it as well. Clean & friendly, we would definitely come back again!
