Nestled in a wildlife corridor, our 1.4 acre property is surrounded by trees and nature. There are two campsites separated by a communal picnic table and fire pit which ensures your privacy. There is also a toilet block with a toilet. The spot is located in the backyard, away from the main house where the owners live. A stone's throw to everything the Gold Coast has to offer. Less than 10 minutes to Tallebudgera, Palm Beach and Currumbin beaches, 15 minutes to swimming holes and waterfalls in the hinterland and to the thriving restaurant and nightlife scene in Burleigh or Coolangatta. 30 minutes to the heart of Surfer's Paradise, 45 minutes to Byron Bay. 5 minutes to supermarkets and shopping at The Pines and 19th Ave shops. As we are in a nature corridor, please ensure you do not collect firewood from the property grounds and take your trash out with you. There is a petrol station around the corner (corner of 19th Ave and Guineas Creek Road) with bins, firewood for sale and a water tap. Please note that being 1.4 acres, our property is ideal for overnight stays and using as a base for a trip to the Gold Coast as it is quiet, private and has a stellar location. It is truly seclusion in suburbia. For those who plan to spend most of their time at the campsite and are looking for a much more wild, bush camping experience - we suggest you book a site further inland where you will find larger properties to camp on. Thank you! We look forward to hosting you!

You will notice the energy shift into the safe embrace of our land, protected by Springbrook Mountain. The location of the Treehouse was chosen by our then young children. We all fell in love with the magnificent camphor laurel tree growing at the edge of the seasonal creek. We all found ourselves drawn to that place, so with the help of our friends and our children we began the project of manifesting a dream into a reality - the dream of living in the tree canopy. As we worked on the Treehouse, the design was constantly changing. The whole family, especially our youngest son, contributed to the manifestation of the dream. During that time we overcame many obstacles and found solutions to build in the tree. It was an adventure, a lot of fun and we learnt a lot. It became a dwelling for our kids for a period of time, until they grew up and left to conquer the big wide world. Now it is here for you to enjoy, to reconnect with your dreams, to dive deep into your childhood playful memories where the world of fantasy and reality merge together. Here you can just be yourself, embraced by nature and view at the world from your Treehouse verandah. Crystal Creek Ranch

19 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents100 acres · Upper Crystal Creek, NSW
Welcome to my beautiful 100 acres that backs on to Springbrook National Park. There are crystal clear freshwater creeks. Most campsites next to the creek. The property is mostly natural bush with some cleared patches for camping and horse grazing. The road entering the property is damaged due to the resent rain and you will need to drive through water. Most cars are safe but if you have a low set car or if you are delicate with your car I would not recommend. Only 30 mins from natural arch and 20 mins to great fishing and crabbing in the tweed river. Dog friendly (must be well controlled no aggressive dogs). Drop toilets and hot showers. There are 2 cabins available each with private portable toilet and hot outdoor showers. Campfires permitted ( when fire bans not in place) and wood can be purchased in advance during booking process. No fire wood to be collected off property BYO or purchase in advance. Not a place for loud music and parties, happy for everyone to have fun but noise is restricted. If you are a disturbance to other campers you will be asked to leave without a refund. PLEASE READ THE CANCELLATION POLICY CAREFULLY BEFORE BOOKING!!!

Camping near Surfers Paradise guide

Overview

Surfers Paradise has it all—soaring skyscrapers, miles of golden sands, and nonstop entertainment. Hit the beach for a surf class, cruise out to Stradbroke or Wave Break islands, or try just about any water sport you can think of. Get your adrenaline pumping at the Gold Coast theme parks, take in the views from the SkyPoint Observation Deck, or paddle around the canals on a kayak excursion. Stick around after sundown to browse the markets, join a beach party, or sample the city’s legendary nightlife, before checking into one of the holiday parks along the coast.

Where to go

Gold Coast Hinterlands

Lush rainforest, vineyards, and mountainous hinterlands lie inland from Surfers Paradise, and there are six national parks within easy reach of the Gold Coast. Visit glow-worm caves and hike to waterfalls in Mt. Tamborine National Park, or marvel at natural wonders like the Numinbah Valley and the Natural Bridge in Springbrook National Park. Adventurous campers should head to Lamington National Park, where you can hike to remote backcountry campsites and pitch your tent amid the bushlands.

NSW North Coast

South of the Gold Coast, the hippie haven and surf mecca of Byron Bay lies just over the New South Wales border. Stop along the way to visit the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, swim and surf at Tweed Heads, or hike in the Mount Jerusalem or Nightcap national parks. For the ultimate road trip, follow the Legendary Pacific Coast route from Tweed Heads all the way to Sydney

Sunshine Coast

Sandy beaches are hemmed in by bands of rainforest along the Sunshine Coast to the north. Rainbow Beach, Caloundra, and Noosa Heads are among the most popular beach towns, where you can swim, surf, and tuck into seafood by the beachside. Don’t miss a visit to the famous Eumundi Markets, a stop at Australia Zoo, and a hike in the Glass House Mountains.

When to go

Dry, sunny days can be enjoyed year-round along the Gold Coast, and it’s possible to swim, surf, and camp right through winter. Summer (December through January) is peak season, and Surfers Paradise is a vacation hotspot—book your campsite at least three months in advance and expect big crowds, especially during events like the Gold Coast 500. Family campers should avoid Schoolies week (typically late November), when school leavers take over the town with their all-night celebrations.

Know before you go

  • The Gold Coast has an excellent public transport service, but having your own transport is useful for exploring the hinterlands and national parks.
  • Surfers Paradise has a large selection of shops where you can purchase camping gear and stock up on supplies before heading out into the hinterlands.
  • Fire bans are common in Queensland during summer and dry periods, so be sure to check local recommendations before lighting a campfire.
  • A National Parks pass is required to camp within Queensland’s national parks.
