This beautiful spot was re-forested with pine a number of years ago, and was sectioned off from the surrounding farmland, which is now maintained by the mennonite community. It is 8 1/2 acres of wetland and forest, with a mown perimeter, and cool places to tuck into the forest for the night. The current owner was a special educator, and now is slowly turning the land into her homestead. There is a beautiful, spa quality outdoor shower next to a tidy and 'fancier than most' outhouse, a strawberry patch as well as wild alpine strawberries all over the property, a big dog and a small indoor cat keep her company. Here is what the land offers: -Bunkie in the Forest: A sweet 8x8 ft. space with new bunk and mattresses as of April 2023 -Strawberry Fields bunkie: an 10x12 space with a loft with a queen memory foam mattress and a main floor with a full futon and a small table -Campsites: Meadow, Forest and River spots. Close to each other, but you'd never know it! All three are chill and serene places. The property backs onto a ten-foot swimming hole in an otherwise shallow part of the Saugeen River. -RV Spot: With electric hook up ideal for RVs 30 feet and under -a connection to the organization, 'Black Folks Camp Too'! Very close to all the great stuff available at this part of Bruce peninsula. We share our backyard with our guests, we are very close to everything that Bruce county has to offer, port Elgin, Southampton, golf courses, different accesses to saugeen river where u can go fishing canoeing, tubing etc., supermarkets, native reserve, sauble beach and dozens of other ones…all at max 15 minutes distance… in the property you will find everything u need for a peaceful stay, hard to describe everything you will find but u can read our reviews, some of them have beautiful descriptions of what is here for you, you must love animals, since we have our pets all around, u are also super welcome to bring yours. One of the high points of here is the interaction u will have with the pets, they are all super friendly and will play with u every time they see u, they believe u r here for them, between, dogs, cats, birds, rabbits etc they will be part of your stay, this is theyr home, u r theyr guests, that’s how they think, so u must be a pet lover. Weekend Trip to Willow Pond Haven

We absolutely loved staying here. I would definitely give this haven a 10/10! Lisa was a perfect host. We stayed at cabin #2 , a cute cozy cottage featuring a queen size bed with twin over top, small table and 2 chairs inside. Lost of space inside. A big Jug of water was supplied. $8 for wood on site. The new pine smell of the cottage was amazing to smell all night long. Cabin was spotless. Porta potty was clean with solar light inside which was very nice for night time trips. Was a total surprise when the neighbors, 2 horses walked behind the cabin just steps away. They can only be seen up close from cabin 2 . Cabin #1 was close by. I would choose that site next time as it had more of a in the woods feeling to it. Both cabins are close to the Porta potty and water. Kayaking,tubes and life jackets are available to rent for $10 a stay. There was no fishing in the pond. Was fun to visit the chickens and play corn hole. We brought are small dog, she also enjoyed herself and the water. We will definitely be going agian. Would be fun to rent both cabins with family next time. Definitely check it out!

Weekend Trip to Riverbend

After a stressful week at work, we were looking for a place to decompress and think about nothing for a short while. Riverbend's pictures and previous reviews fit the bill entirely (we're drawn to rushing water and rapids). The pictures do not do it justice! Booking was a breeze, and Katrina and Graham even made a point to make sure the firewood shed was adequately stacked (we're also drawn to campfires) and even installed the missing ladder on the dock in the morning before we arrived. The cabin is extremely well-appointed with amenities and stuff you may have forgotten. The outhouse is truly a destination in itself - not sure I've ever put those words together before! Just a wonderful place to unwind - we spent most of the hot Saturday in the water just lazying around on a tube and stand-up paddleboard (that we brought). I suppose an honest review needs to include something mildly negative, so here's our only complaint - we had to leave and go home. That was more our fault though. We can't wait to come back. Weekend Trip to Time at the Shores

We had a wonderful stay and would happily return. The site felt private and peaceful, with beautiful views over the surrounding fields and some incredible sunsets. The bunkie was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. Having a fridge, climate control, and access to the hot tub made the stay especially enjoyable. Pedro was a friendly and responsive host. When we asked about the hot tub temperature, he adjusted it for us quickly. Firewood was provided, which made relaxing around the campfire easy. The location was close enough to Port Elgin for coffee, breakfast, and exploring local shops, while still feeling like a quiet escape from everyday life. It was windy when we arrived, but once things settled down, we enjoyed a campfire, stargazing, and a long soak in the hot tub. Overall, a great spot for a relaxing weekend away.

2 nights at Cabin close to Lake Erie and trails

I took my mom to this place after years of vacationing in cabins around Wasaga Beach, and she kept commenting on how luxurious she felt staying at Gisele and Vic's compared to our previous experiences. The cottage is cozy, welcoming, and exceptionally well maintained. Every detail has clearly been thought through. Gisele and Vic made sure we had everything we needed and more, including bikes and kayaks available for guests to use. They even had the fire set up for us on our first night, which was such a thoughtful touch. When we return, and we definitely plan on returning, we'll be packing much lighter because so much is already provided. The grounds are spacious, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing. The beach was even closer than we expected and was a wonderful alternative to some of the busier beaches in the area. The sand was beautiful, the water was crystal clear, and it was already a perfect temperature for swimming in early June. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a calm, comfortable, and worry-free getaway. We had a wonderful stay and can't wait to come back.

Weekend Trip to Villa Vida Loca

Villa Vida Loca is perfection! My partner and I absolutely love camping and exploring new places, but this spot has completely stolen our hearts, it is the only place we find ourselves constantly wanting and planning to visit again and again. We loved our first stay in October so much that we had to come back in June, and it was even better. Ann and Brian are incredible hosts who truly excel at everything they do. The property is mesmerizingly clean, incredibly organized, and the attention to detail is stunning. They have thought of everything you could possibly imagine or need: a remarkably comfortable cabin, a great shower and sink setup, a comfortable restroom, a hot tub, a sauna, and a beautiful lake with warm, crystal-clear water. If you have a dog, this is the absolute perfect place to go! Ann and Brian truly love dogs and will treat yours so incredibly well. Plus, your pup will even have a built-in buddy, sweet Koda. Brian made sure we were perfectly comfortable and had everything we needed throughout our stay. We are definitely planning a trip number three! 10/10 stars!

We had a wonderful stay at Lisa & Scott’s cabin! The space is romantic, spotless, and so cozy — exactly what you want for a weekend reset. Lisa and Scott were incredible hosts. They made sure we had everything we needed and checked in to see if we were doing okay, without being intrusive. The washroom is clean and accessible, and the whole cabin feels warm and welcoming. If you’re looking to recharge from work, this place is perfect. The gas station and stores are only a 7-minute drive if you need anything. There are also waterfalls and trails nearby to explore, but honestly we loved just staying in — enjoying the campfire and the pond view. Overall, we highly recommend this cabin for the perfect glamping experience. Thank you Lisa & Scott!

Weekend Trip to Cabin close to Lake Erie and trails

This was our second time at this cabin, and we will definitely go there again! We are bikers so it’s an excellent location for us - got off in Niagara and biked on trails both ways. The cabin has everything you need, plus board games, badminton, pétanque and kayaks. A really nice beach at Lake Erie is two minutes away, though chilling on the cabin’s patio is also relaxing - there’s plenty of birds singing around and you often hear the waves from the lake. You can cook on the Barbeque or go to the nearby towns for lunch - we recommend I Love Sicily in Chrystal Beach for their sandwiches and ice cream. Enjoy!

We need instantly fell in love with Grayotter cabin, it’s so welcoming and cozy. It’s equipped with absolutely everything you could need. The buildings and property layout gives preparation for the ability to enjoy your time in any weather setting. It’s a large private property on the water with multiple viewing and enjoyment options. It’s evident a lot of thought and effort went into this place and I can’t wait to stay again!

Had an amazing stay here! Gisele and Vic provided us with their kindness and hospitality and gave us space to explore the space and town. There’s ton to do here: biking along the trail, kayaking (if weather permits), and enjoying a sunny afternoon at Nickel Beach. We’d definitely recommend this place for anybody who wants to escape the city and experience the peace and quiet. Also, if you’re into vintage shopping, check out Willows End Salvage.
